Chapter 670: I Miss You So Much
"Don’t be sad."
Fiona Linton saw Chloe Reed’s face pale into a vulnerable, sad expression. All sleepiness vanished in an instant as she quickly comforted her, "You’ve already started detoxing. It’s only a matter of time before you get better."
Chloe Reed managed a faint smile. She took out her phone and typed, and an electronic female voice said, "Thank you. I’ll be okay."
Even though the voice was cold and robotic, Fiona Linton could somehow hear the sadness within it.
Fiona Linton felt a pang of discomfort. Seeing such a beautiful face contorted with sadness made her feel even worse.
"I will definitely cure you!"
Fiona Linton grasped her hand, looking at her with a solemn expression.
Chloe Reed looked at her in surprise. Meeting her gaze, she was moved by the sincerity in Fiona’s eyes.
She nodded and gave Fiona Linton a smile.

Once everyone was packed and ready, they headed straight for the airport.
「Three hours later, the plane landed, and they returned directly to the hospital.」
Nathaniel Monroe burst through the hospital room door, exclaiming with great excitement, "Walker, we brought Doctor Linton back!"
Dylan Finch was in the middle of giving a work report to Walker Grant. Nathaniel’s sudden entrance shattered the quiet of the room, instantly making it lively.
Behind him were Chloe Reed and Fiona Linton, with Daniel Hayes bringing up the rear.
"Mrs. Grant."
Dylan Finch smiled slightly when he saw Chloe Reed.
Chloe Reed nodded at him.
White gauze was still wrapped around Walker Grant’s eyes. He turned his head toward the door, facing their direction, his tone low and gentle. "Chloe."
The look of anticipation on Nathaniel Monroe’s face froze.
’And here I thought Walker Grant would talk to me first!’
’Fine!’
’It’s all about his wife, isn’t it?’
’Tsk, so much for our brotherhood!’
Daniel Hayes couldn’t help but laugh. He slung an arm around Nathaniel’s shoulder and said, "Look at you. How can you still be so clueless? Come on, let’s get out of here for a bit. We’ll come back later."
Then, he looked at Dylan Finch. "You too. Come on out."
Dylan Finch looked resigned, but he nodded and followed them out of the room.
Fiona Linton stood where she was, momentarily bewildered. She blinked and asked, "Didn’t you bring me here to see the patient? Why is everyone leaving?"
Nathaniel Monroe grabbed her by the arm. "Those expert professors are still around. Go discuss things with them. See if you can come up with an effective treatment plan for them."
Fiona Linton was taken aback and quickly said, "No, wait... I haven’t even..."
"It can wait. Let’s go."

The hospital room, which had been bustling with noise just a moment ago, fell silent in an instant.
Chloe Reed felt a sense of resignation about the whole thing.
"Chloe."
Walker Grant, however, was quite pleased with Nathaniel Monroe’s tactfulness. He reached a hand out toward her.
But, not knowing her exact location, his outstretched hand was slightly off course.
Seeing this, Chloe Reed’s heart suddenly ached. She walked over and took his hand.
Walker Grant suddenly tightened his grip, pulling her into his arms in a tight embrace.
"I’ve missed you so much."
His somewhat hoarse voice followed immediately after.
Caught off guard, Chloe Reed’s heart skipped a beat. His overwhelming, commanding presence enveloped her, impossible to ignore.
She lowered her gaze, letting him hold her for a moment before she gently pushed him away. She took his hand and began to trace words on his palm.
