Chapter 733: A Baby of One’s Own

Since Noah was going to the Grant Family Estate, Walker Grant had to be informed. Judith Pierce finally found an opportunity to go to the study and speak with her son.

She arrived at the study door and knocked.

KNOCK, KNOCK!

A moment later, the study door opened. Dylan Finch was all smiles. "Mrs. Grant."

Judith Pierce acknowledged him and walked inside. She saw Walker Grant sitting in a chair. Something had been playing on his computer, but he reached out and pressed a key, pausing it.

"Mom, did you need something?"

Judith Pierce said, "I’m planning to take Noah to the family estate for a few days. It’ll give him a chance to get to know your father better."

"Mm," Walker Grant grunted in acknowledgment, having no objection to the plan.

Judith Pierce looked at him, her heart aching. "Walker, you have to prioritize your health. Let other people handle the company’s business. You need to rest more."

Walker Grant nodded. "I know, Mom."

He said the words, but he showed no intention of getting up.

Judith Pierce sighed in resignation. As she turned to leave, she saw Dylan Finch and said, "You should come around less often. That way, Walker can get some actual rest."

"...Yes," Dylan Finch managed to say.

’This is so unfair!’

’Mr. Grant was the one who called me here!’

’But a mother worrying about her son’s health is perfectly understandable.’

Judith Pierce left with Noah soon after.

With two people missing from the dinner table that evening, the atmosphere wasn’t nearly as lively.

Fiona Linton couldn’t help but comment, "He’s such a good kid. Now that he’s gone, I actually miss him."

The matriarch nodded. "Yes, Noah has always been very well-behaved. When he’s not busy, he even comes to find me and keep me company."

Then, she turned to look at Chloe Reed and asked, "Chloe, are you planning to have a baby of your own?"

Chloe Reed’s expression faltered. Her long eyelashes trembled, and after a few seconds, she shook her head.

She had no such plans for the time being.

’I’ll consider having a child once I no longer have to struggle just to stay alive.’

’A baby of my very own.’

’As for who the father might be... that isn’t important.’

Hearing the matriarch’s question, Walker Grant’s expression also faltered. His thin lips pressed into a line. He wanted to speak, but didn’t dare.

At that moment, Fiona Linton spoke up. "Well, I’m actually thinking about it. Once I get all my own business sorted out, I’m going to a sperm bank overseas, picking out the absolute best sample, and having a baby of my very own!"

The matriarch gave her a surprised look. "You’re not going to find a boyfriend?"

"Nope, not a chance." Fiona Linton shook her head. "It’s so much more freeing to be on your own! Once I’ve treated them, I’ll be financially independent. Then I can do whatever I want. I’m definitely not going to find a man just to get angry and make my life miserable."

"Hahaha..."

The matriarch laughed, amused by her words. "Ah, you’re still so young. But I support your plan, nonetheless."

Fiona Linton turned to Chloe Reed, her eyes sparkling. "Chloe, why don’t we do it together? If one of us has a daughter and the other has a son, we could arrange a marriage for them! What do you think? And if they’re the same gender, they can just be sworn sisters or brothers."

She was already getting lost in fantasies of the future; it was all just too wonderful to imagine!

Chloe Reed thought about it for a moment, then nodded.

Fiona Linton grew even more excited. "You agreed? Then it’s settled! We’ll pick out the best donor together. He has to be handsome!"

"Ahem..."

Just then, the sound of a cough cut through the air, interrupting Fiona Linton.
