All on this day, emit the edge.

Early in the morning the miners are woken up with six bells and gathered at the entrance to the pit to leave for the mine with six and a half bells. I sprinkled the hardened bread with the same soup I had yesterday and stuffed it in my mouth. There's nothing graceful about lunch. Because if you don't eat well, it won't last a day.

Leave the dining room with Lark.

Looking up at the ceiling of the great cavity, I see a faded blue sky. In this mine, where summer is cool and winter is warm, only the colours of the cut skies make the season feel.

It was a spring sky today.

"Hey, my brother."

"What?"

I replied, rubbing my sleepy eyes.

"Your dark hair and black eyes, I like you."

"Suddenly what?"

That's not what I was told.

My hair is black and my eyes are black. That seems to be a pretty rare trait -- there were times when people said it was a "vicious sign".

In the presence of my brothers, it was because of this "black" that I was the only one who was seen as an enemy and was sold.

But nobody in this mine cared about the color of my hair. They were all bright, messy, and out of time.

"Ugh!?"

"La, Lark!? What's wrong?

"Ugh... I'm a little toilet..."

"Yes!? It's morning meeting now!?"

"Manage to be deluded! Bye!"

Lark ran away with his stomach.

"What the hell..."

Doesn't sound like it, I thought. It doesn't look like Lark. I didn't go to the bathroom, I praised my appearance.

I attended the morning meeting alone. [M] Miners get together and listen to the miners who are a step high, just that same routine as usual.

In front of the entrance to the pit, it is a square, where the miners gather. But things are kind of strange. There are more than twice as many miners.

It's a slightly dark early morning, so the miners had pine lights. Tiny firepowder is dancing through the world.

The entrance to the pit is a giant hole. So much so that even if we miners storm together, we swallow it. The further I go, the thinner and thinner it gets and the more raccoon holes it comes out.

Leave that, well.

Miners were gathered in one place. At the heart of it was the mine manager - a man who gained plenty of weight and hid his baldness at the top of his head with a silk hat - and another.

"... who is it?

Though it was as plentiful as the mine manager, the hair was blocked to the back.

The eyes are a reverse triangular hanging, intimidating the surrounding area. That mine manager... the mine manager, who never tries to remember our faces or our names (aside from the fact that I don't have a name), is just spreading prestige.

"Everybody listen! From now on, I have a valuable story about Mr. Ahenbach, the owner of the Six Heavens Mine (Six Mines) and the Duke of the Federation of Keith Grants! Get your knees on the ground!

The miners shouted and the miners saw each other's faces. "What do we do?" "What the hell is a duke? ♪ It's like a reaction. ♪ But when one knelt on the ground, the other miners began to kneel, and I imitated it. Knee kid hurts on hard ground......

For the first time, I have learned that this mine belongs to a federal state called the Keith Grant Federation. Nobody told me that, and diving into a pit and pushing a raccoon hole frightened by the shadow of a monster didn't help anything with the name of the country.

"Hmmm... whenever you come, it's an uncomfortable place"

"I'm sorry, Duke."

It was the Duke who complained in a high voice, and I knew it was the mine manager who was coming. It's natural that the inside of the mine is stifling, and I wonder what you're apologizing for.

"Ooh, stinky smell. The smell seems to come up a little high."

"I'm sorry, Duke...... I'll tell the slaves to wipe their bodies properly"

"Enough. I'm just never coming here again."

We miners have a blurry view of such interaction. Though I feel like I've been told something unpleasant, I don't feel like it was a gift. Is this also because of the contract magic that was hung up when you became a slave?

"Then let's get this over with. —— I heard a six-star talent pearl was unearthed in this mine the other day. I came to inspect it."

6 Stars! It must be the genius pearl Lark found.

I can't believe it was enough for the great people of this country to come. Lark did say "the country leans" when he put a price on it, and although the old Hinga said "I can't put a value on it".

"Ha, I have that orb here"

One of the miners brings a gifted pearl that was placed in a basin. There's a purple cloth hanging on it and I can't see inside.

And the duke of Ahenbach glanced at the basin, which he offered with humility, from a height, and peeled off his cloth, and pah, and his cloth.

Oops... it was the miners who raised their voices.

The rainbow glow that was emitted was certainly the one I showed Lark that day. I guess it was still in this mine.

"This is... I see you're a gifted pearl of unique character."

"Ha ha."

"I'd like to use it quickly, but I'm sure King Geffelt, the head of the federal government and my cousin, would like to see it. Therefore, I will consult with King Geffelt to determine the use of this gifted pearl"

"Ha ha."

It's been kind of amazing. The gifted pearls that Lark found will be brought to this king!... that lark hasn't come back while he's gone to the bathroom.

"At last, let the slave who finds this be freed as a slave and a civilian today"

Although the Duke of Ahenbach said it greatly, the words were within the expected range, so were the miners' reactions as well.

"Take whoever finds this gifted pearl to this!

That voice hung, and the miners saw it-- it was me.

"Huh?"

"Oh, yeah, they do. That was you. Come here."

The inspector with the seen face runs in and grabs my arm and makes me stand.

"No, no, no, not me, Lark..."

"Just hurry up."

I am taken to the front of the Duke of Ahenbach so that I may be pulled. No one can stop it. Because from the miner, it would be Lark if I were to be freed of slavery, but neither would change.

No, you're not! It's not me, it's Lark. Not an apathetic boy like me, but someone as positive, active and stuck as Lark should be out of the mine. Aren't you?

I wanted to raise my voice, but I kind of didn't get the word out. There was nothing around my neck, but my neck felt incredible oppression. I can't breathe.

"This one...?

The Duke looked at me and looked away.

"What is this brunette!? Isn't it a symbol of murder! Yeah, stay away from me!!"

All of a sudden, everyone screams.

"Mine chief!

"Ha, ha."

"Keep this alive and it won't be a lot! Kill him!"

"... what?

"You didn't hear me, I told you to kill me!

"It's a good temptation, Duke, for this man to give you six star talent pearls..."

"Shut up! If you don't, I'll do it."

The Duke pulled out the sword that was hanging from his waist, of the miners who were behind him. I watched the silver blade blurry with a pine light. [M] I know that if I stand still, I will die, but my body won't move —— oh, my body won't move, even though reason realizes it's because of contract magic.

A disgusting obsession is directed at me. Why? Why not? Dark hair, dark eyes, is that such a bad thing? I don't know. I don't know.

"Wait a minute!

The voices that have interrupted there,

"What did our brother do?!?"

I don't even have to confirm —— it belonged to my sister (...).

"What are you!?"

"I'm Lark."

"Why do you have such a filthy little child coming out! Miner!"

"Ha ha"

"Put it together and dispose of it, now!

"But..."

"Are you listening to me? Ah!

It was when the Duke's scream echoed.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
