Chapter 475 - 473: You Have to Say, He Guessed Right
That was what he thought, but he had to maintain his composure. He had his pride to protect, after all.
Seeing him practically bubbling with sour jealousy, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. She looked up at Javier Sinclair and said, "Hahaha, my dear husband, are you jealous?"
He said, "Of course not. You’re seeing things."
"Hahaha... Right, right, you’re not. How could the great Archfiend possibly get jealous... But it’s actually kind of cute. I bet you have a whole drama playing out in your head right now."
His thoughts had been exposed, but he would deny it to his dying breath. After all, he couldn’t lose face. So he quickly said, "As if."
He raised an eyebrow slightly and chuckled. "You think a mere Spellsong Mage is worthy of making me jealous? Heh, I wouldn’t even give him a second glance." That’s what he said, but in his heart, he couldn’t help but curse. ’Damn it! Damn it all! Where did this shameless bastard come from, trying to steal my wife?’
The very thought...
...made his brows furrow.
Celeste Grant smiled faintly. "Look at you, looking like you’re about to twist someone’s head off." She reached out to stroke his hair, then leaned in closer and whispered, "My dear husband, your words say one thing, but your body says another."
Javier Sinclair fell silent. Only the faint blush on the tips of his ears revealed his embarrassment.
"Alright, stop being jealous." She took Javier Sinclair’s arm with a light laugh and said, "Darling, don’t look so grim. We’re not going to do anything untoward. We’re just going for the experience. I’ve been in the Upper Realm for so long, and I’ve always heard about this place but have never been!"
He sneered.
"Heh! Celeste Grant, do you hear yourself right now? You want to go to a place like Lunara Pavilion, and you want to drag your husband along with you." He added irritably, "So, my dear wife, is your plan to anger me to death so you can inherit my fortune?"
’Anger him to death and inherit his fortune?’
Hearing this, Celeste Grant covered her face and burst out laughing.
"Hahahaha, my Archfiend, you’re hilarious."
"Anger you to death? I could never bear to." Still holding his arm, she continued, "You’re the father of my child, after all."
His expression was dead serious.
"Celeste Grant, and you’re still laughing."
"I’m not laughing, I’m not... but I just can’t help it, hehe. Fine, we don’t have to see the handsome Spellsong Mage. We can see something else. Lunara Pavilion recently got a new headlining female cultivator, and I hear her dancing is absolutely divine. It’s the perfect chance for me to take you out and broaden your horizons."
Javier Sinclair: "..."
’What did I just hear?’
’I must still be asleep. There’s no other way I’d hear my own wife say she wants to take me to a place like that. I’m a respectable man! Am I that kind of person? So, have I gone crazy? Or did my wife smack her head on a door?’
His gaze shifted to Celeste Grant’s face. He reached out, cupped her face in his hands, and examined it from side to side. After confirming there were no injuries, he finally said, "You didn’t hit your head... Celeste Grant, are you even listening to yourself?"
She slapped his hands away.
Celeste Grant rolled her eyes at him. "I’m perfectly fine. Come with me." As she spoke, she grabbed his arm and pulled him along. In the blink of an eye, the two of them vanished and reappeared in Ashkaron.
When Celeste Grant and Javier Sinclair appeared in Ashkaron, it was not with their original appearances. They had used Magic to disguise their features, transforming into two ordinary, unremarkable-looking Cultivators.
It was still daytime, so Celeste Grant wasn’t in a hurry to go to Lunara Pavilion. Instead, she held Javier Sinclair’s arm as they strolled through the streets of Ashkaron.
Along the way, Celeste Grant had Javier Sinclair take her for a tour of the local auction house. In the Demonic Domain, every profitable enterprise as far as the eye could see belonged to them. In other words, the entire Demonic Domain was their territory.
They ate, drank, and shopped.
Until dusk began to fall.
Seeing that it was about time.
Celeste Grant glanced at the sky and said, "It’s about time. Let’s go. We’re going to Lunara Pavilion."
The moment he heard this.
Javier Sinclair’s face fell.
He let out a cold laugh. "Celeste Grant, so you still haven’t forgotten about that eight-pack Spellsong Mage."
His tone was so sour!
Celeste Grant chuckled lightly.
"When it comes to eight-packs, I still prefer yours, my Archfiend." As she spoke, she leaned against him, her eyes landing on his solid chest. She placed a hand there and patted it gently. "My husband’s chest is definitely the firmest." Her hand drifted lower as she added in a hushed voice, "And your abs are much better to touch."
Javier Sinclair blushed.
"Don’t think flattery like that will work on me."
’He knew it. This woman couldn’t leave his side. Some eight-pack Spellsong Mage? As if. His Celeste wouldn’t even deign to look at him.’
Javier Sinclair grabbed her hand, pressing it against his chest. "You already have me as your husband," he said. "Why do you still want to see that Spellsong Mage?"
Celeste Grant rolled her eyes and lowered her voice. "What are you thinking? Of course not! There’s no eight-pack Spellsong Mage, I was just teasing you. My dear husband, after getting used to a face like yours, my standards are far too high now. I wouldn’t give an ordinary male cultivator a second glance. I have business at Lunara Pavilion tonight. I’m going to watch a show."
’Watch a show?’
Hearing this.
Javier Sinclair raised an eyebrow, unable to keep up with her train of thought.
With this in mind, he asked, "What is it? Is there something I don’t know?" The words had barely left his mouth when he paused, as if a thought had suddenly struck him.
He glanced at her and said instinctively, "Don’t tell me... that woman, Jocelyn Grant, is here?" It was the only possibility he could think of. After all, besides that dim-witted Jocelyn Grant, he couldn’t imagine who else would make his wife want to put on such a big production just to "watch a show."
As it turned out, he was right.
Celeste Grant smiled faintly.
"Old Fiend Sinclair, we’re really on the same wavelength. Your guesses are always spot on."
As her voice fell.
Javier Sinclair let out a dry laugh.
"If that’s the case, I’d rather have been wrong."
"That woman... she’s impossible to shake off."
She spread her hands in a gesture that said, ’You got it.’
"Jocelyn Grant has come to the Demonic Domain. She’s at Lunara Pavilion, right here in Ashkaron. She’s the one whose enchanting dance a few days ago has all the male cultivators in the Demonic Domain clamoring to see her true face."
Javier Sinclair: "..."
He was speechless.
Utterly at a loss for words.
He pressed a hand to his forehead and sighed. "That Jocelyn Grant woman... her brain really isn’t wired like a normal person’s. My dear wife, you should stay away from her in the future. I’m afraid her foolishness might be contagious."
Celeste Grant’s mouth twitched.
"Once she’s dead, I won’t have to."
’Sitting back and waiting to be attacked was not her style. Jocelyn Grant had come here under a new identity specifically to find her. So, even if Celeste didn’t provoke her, she couldn’t stay out of it. In that case, she might as well just kill her and get it over with.’
Celeste Grant grabbed his hand. "Let’s go take a look first."
Javier Sinclair raised a finger and whispered, "Then let’s properly conceal our auras first."
As he spoke, he cast a spell of Magic over them, after which he led Celeste Grant toward the western part of the city.
