At this thought, she shook her head and said, "Let’s not talk about that. If there’s really some mysterious power inside me, I’m sure I’ll find out when the time is right." As she spoke, Celeste Grant raised her eyes, her gaze landing on his face.

She smiled faintly. "What I’m more curious about," she said, "is how the Ancient Mirror in my hand connected to you again." She leaned in a little closer, her eyes fixed on his as she whispered, "Do you know why, Husband?"

Celeste Grant was already straddling his lap, so when she leaned in, the distance between them all but vanished. She could clearly hear his heartbeat and the sound of his breath.

As she leaned in, their eyes met. Javier Sinclair immediately looked away, flustered and inexplicably guilty.

He said, "Get up."

But it only took one look for Celeste Grant to know. He had definitely been the one to activate the Ancient Mirror’s connection this time. With this realization, she spoke. "You’re the one who activated the Ancient Mirror, aren’t you? You were worried about me and our child, so you wanted to see if we were alright?"

Javier Sinclair froze, clearly not expecting her to figure it out. He always felt like an open book in front of this woman. ’Is it because I’m her Taoist Companion in the future? Is that why she understands me so well?’

He sat there, unmoving and a little embarrassed, but still gave a slight nod and a soft, "Mm."

"So I was right." Celeste Grant smiled at him. "I never imagined that you, the mighty Demon God, would actually worry about me and our child. Didn’t you say the future is the future and the present is the present, and that the two are completely different? Why are you so concerned about us now? Or could it be... that you’ve already fallen for me in this era, my dear Archfiend?"

He immediately denied it.

"No, of course not." Javier Sinclair glanced at her and said with a perfectly straight face, "You are carrying my child in the future. I can hardly ignore your well-being."

"My, my. To hear you say it, you’re actually quite thoughtful." As she spoke, Celeste Grant’s arms were already wrapping around his neck.

He reached out and grabbed one of her arms. "Get off my lap," he said. ’This position...’ he thought, ’is making me very uncomfortable.’

Celeste Grant didn’t budge.

Instead, she wrapped her arms around Javier Sinclair, pressing herself into his chest and resting her chin gently on his shoulder. "It’s perfectly natural for me to hug you. I’m your wife, after all. Now, don’t move! I’m carrying your daughter, remember?"

Javier Sinclair’s hand on her arm froze for a second before slowly sliding down to wrap around her waist. ’This woman acts as if she knows me completely,’ he thought. ’And strangely, this casual intimacy... I don’t find it repulsive at all.’

As he held her, the memory of her suddenly appearing and kissing him flashed through his mind, and a faint blush crept onto his cheeks. His gaze lingered on her, his curiosity deepening.

There was something about her scent that he found incredibly comforting.

Leaning against him, Celeste Grant asked, "It’s a rare gift of fate to be able to hold you. So, Archfiend, what do you think would be a beautiful name for our daughter when she’s born?"

He clearly hadn’t expected her to ask him to name the child, and his gaze faltered for a moment. At that instant, his heart softened, much to his own surprise.

"Let me think," he said, closing his eyes as his fingers moved in a quick, divinatory gesture. When he opened them again, he traced a finger through the air, and two characters glowing with Divine Power materialized before them. They spelled out the name "Elise."

Celeste Grant glanced at the glowing characters and softly read the name they formed. "Elise." After saying it once, she added the surname and repeated it.

"Elise Sinclair."

"Oh, that’s a wonderful name."

The name was revealed, and Celeste Grant’s eyes lit up. She fell in love with it instantly, feeling it was the perfect name for her daughter.

She straightened up from her position against Javier Sinclair and gave him a look of pure approval, followed by a thumbs-up. "It’s perfect. It sounds beautiful." ’When it comes to names, he always picks ones that are not only beautiful but also perfect for me.’ With that thought, Celeste Grant offered her unreserved praise. "Javier Sinclair, you chose an excellent name."

As she spoke, she reached out, cupped his face, and leaned in to kiss him. "A little kiss for my Archfiend."

’The Demon God had always walked alone; he’d never met a woman like Celeste Grant. Her direct praise made him feel strangely embarrassed, and yet... to be trusted by her so completely... it felt truly wonderful.’

Seeing his discomfort, Celeste Grant smiled.

"It was just a kiss. We already have two children, remember? Relax."

Javier Sinclair: "..."

’That’s different,’ he retorted internally. ’That’s my future self who has two children with her, not me. Right now, she and I are still... innocent...’ Then he looked down at the woman in his arms.

At that moment, a thought surfaced.

’Then again... are we really all that ’innocent’ right now?’

As he lowered his head, his gaze met Celeste Grant’s. Seeing the strange look in his eyes, she raised an eyebrow. "Javier Sinclair, you have a funny look in your eyes."

She leaned closer.

He pressed two fingers to her forehead, stopping her.

"Get up."

Celeste Grant raised an eyebrow. Seeing his expression, as if he’d been utterly profaned, a teasing smile played on her lips.

She raised a hand and gently stroked his chest.

"What are you thinking about, Husband?"

He didn’t answer.

Her fingers began to trail downwards.

Before her hand could wander any further, he caught it. "That’s enough."

"You don’t want me, Javier Sinclair."

"I don’t."

He said it without hesitation.

Celeste Grant laughed.

"Answering so quickly? That’s a dead giveaway. You know what they say: a quick denial is a tacit admission. And if you still don’t believe me..." As she spoke, she hooked a finger in his collar, pulled him closer, and pressed her lips to his.

He stiffened, but as she kissed him, his body responded on pure instinct. By the time his mind caught up, his arms were already holding her tight, and he was actively kissing her back.

His kiss was fierce and urgent from the very start.

By the time the kiss ended, his golden eyes were smoldering with desire.

He looked up to see her gentle smile.

A flicker of panic crossed Javier Sinclair’s eyes, and he blurted out, "Now we’re even."

Celeste Grant stared for a second before bursting into laughter. "HAHA, alright, alright. If you say we’re even, then we’re even. Oh, Archfiend, you’re so adorable."

"You..." He was about to retort when Celeste Grant’s form began to fade. In an instant, she vanished from his arms. Her sudden departure left an emptiness in his embrace. He instinctively reached out to grab her, but his hand closed on empty air.

He remained seated under the ancient tree, utterly alone. He had never minded the solitude before. So why, he wondered, did his heart now feel so hollow? It was an indescribable emptiness.
