Javier Sinclair’s eyes turned icy as he stared at the Evil Cultivator clutched in his hand.

"You have some nerve, daring to possess my son." As Javier Sinclair spoke, his fingers tightened. The Primordial Spirit of the Evil Cultivator he held felt a searing pain in its soul.

"AHHH! No! Help me! Senior, spare me!"

"Urgh... If you spare my life, Senior, I am willing to become your soul servant and serve you for eternity."

Hearing this, Javier Sinclair sneered. "An Evil Cultivator who tried to possess my son thinks he’s worthy of serving me? You dared to lay a hand on my son. For that, I will obliterate your very soul." In the Cultivation World, only the complete obliteration of the soul was true death.

Just as he was about to annihilate the Primordial Spirit, a voice slowly rang out.

"Father... wait."

The Evil Cultivator, who had been scared half to death by the terrifying pressure emanating from Javier Sinclair, felt a surge of hope when he heard Aaron Sinclair’s voice. He thought he’d found his savior.

He immediately pleaded with Aaron Sinclair for help.

"Save me... Young friend, I truly know I was wrong. If you spare my life, I’ll be your soul servant. We can sign a Soul Servant Contract, and I will do whatever you command."

Aaron Sinclair opened his eyes, ending his meditation. A sinister smile played on his lips as he rose from the stone platform. He ignored the Evil Cultivator’s pleas, turning his gaze to his mother beside him instead.

Seeing his mother, he smiled faintly and called out, "Mom."

Hearing him call her name, the worried expression on Celeste Grant’s face finally softened. She stepped forward and embraced him. "Thank goodness you’re alright. Annie, you scared me to death."

Aaron Sinclair hugged her back, patting her gently on the shoulder. "Don’t worry, Mom. See? I’m perfectly fine."

He finished with a mischievous chuckle.

Celeste Grant patted him gently on the head.

"And you’re laughing? The moment I came out of seclusion, I sensed you were in danger. I was so scared my soul nearly left my body." She had been terrified of being even a moment too late, only to arrive and see her son coughing up blood. In that instant, it felt as if her heart had plunged into the depths of a frozen lake. She couldn’t bear to imagine what she would have done if something had happened to her son.

She hugged her son tightly.

"Thank goodness you’re safe."

"I’m sorry for making you worry, Mom."

He hugged his mother, comforting her and resting his head on her shoulder. "It’s so good to have you and Dad here. A child with a mother is a precious treasure."

From the day he was born, Aaron Sinclair had never truly suffered. His life had always been smooth sailing. He was nothing like the protagonists from the storybooks, the ones who had to defy fate after their entire families were slaughtered at the beginning of their tales. He’d had his family and loving parents from a young age. Even his own health was perfect. In truth, his life was a very happy one.

Celeste Grant smiled faintly and gently stroked his head. "Look at you, still acting like a spoiled child at your age."

In a parent’s heart, their children are always their children, no matter how old they get. It’s instinct to dote on them. Parents who don’t love their children are likely a true minority—unlike someone like Jocelyn Grant, who gives birth to children but doesn’t bother to raise them.

’Honestly, I’ve only ever met that Ronan Yardley. I’ve never even seen the other two.’

After a moment, Aaron Sinclair let go of his mother and turned, his gaze falling upon what his father held in his hand.

He walked over to his father’s side.

He landed a resounding SLAP right on the Evil Cultivator’s Primordial Spirit.

The blow was hard enough to make the spirit see stars.

The Evil Cultivator, still in Javier Sinclair’s grasp, had lost all will to resist.

In the face of such absolute power, resistance was futile.

"If it helps you feel better, young friend, then please, hit me as you please."

"I beg you, young friend, spare my life. I am willing to serve you like a loyal dog from now on."

The moment he finished speaking, he was slapped again.

"Pleading with me for help? You must have misunderstood me. Let me be clear: I’m no saint. In fact, I’m an incredibly petty person, the kind who gets revenge for even the slightest offense. You tried to erase my Primordial Spirit and take my body. You tried to kill me. So, what makes you think I’d ever let you go?"

As he spoke, he held out his hand, and a needle the length of a chopstick materialized in his palm.

He was heard saying, "It would be a shame to just let you die so easily."

He said this with a gentle smile.

But it was a bloodcurdling smile that sent a chill down one’s spine.

He gestured with the needle. "I’ve recently learned a new form of Magic, you see. It’s called the Primordial Spirit Slicing Skill, and you’re the perfect test subject. Oh, and I also want you to try out this Soul Destruction Needle. I hear it gives the Divine Soul a... unique kind of pleasure." He let out a sinister cackle and added softly, "Don’t worry. I’ll be very gentle."

"No... Young friend, you’re joking, right? No... You can’t do this!"

’Primordial Spirit Slicing Skill? What kind of Magic is that? I’ve never heard of it. But just from the name alone, it’s obviously nothing good. That look in the kid’s eyes is terrifying... it’s like he’s just found a new toy.’

The Evil Cultivator, still held fast in Javier Sinclair’s hand, looked on in terror. "Y-You, stay back... What are you planning to do?"

"Dad, give him to me."

"Alright."

Javier Sinclair lifted a finger and placed a Forbidden Spell directly onto the Evil Cultivator’s Primordial Spirit. This would prevent him from escaping and, at the same time, restrain his Primordial Spirit so it could not harm his son in any way.

Aaron Sinclair flashed his dad a finger heart. Then, he reached out and snatched the spirit. He tossed the shrunken Primordial Spirit onto the ground and began to stomp on it with his foot.

"Stomp... I’ll stomp you! I’ll stomp you to death!"

"AHH..."

"No... Help me..."

"Let me go!"

"Heh heh... Weren’t you so high and mighty before, old man? Weren’t you just saying you were going to claim this body as your own today? Well? Get up! Come and take it!"

"Stop... Stop your stomping!"

’This kid...!’

’He fights so dirty!’

’He doesn’t play by the rules at all!’

"A cultivator can be killed, but not humiliated! Stop stomping on me!"

"’Not humiliated’? You old dog, you’re exactly the one I’m going to stomp on."

’To think that I, a mighty Cultivator, would one day be reduced to this—being trodden upon by someone’s foot. The humiliation of being trampled underfoot wasn’t just a metaphor; it was literally happening to me.’

"You think you’re worthy of saying ’a cultivator can be killed, but not humiliated’? Go to hell!"

Seeing their son’s savagery,

Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant exchanged a glance and silently stepped aside.

Javier Sinclair leaned close to Celeste Grant and whispered, "Who do you think our son takes after with that personality of his? He’s quite the petty one."

Celeste Grant shot him a look. "Well, it’s either you or me. It had to come from one of us."

Javier Sinclair just smiled faintly without arguing. When his son put on that dark, sinister smile, he truly was the spitting image of his father.

Inside the ice cave, Javier Sinclair and his wife waved their hands, conjuring a table, chairs, snacks, and melon seeds out of thin air. The two of them sat down, casually cracking seeds while they talked.

Not far from them, the bloodcurdling screams of the Evil Cultivator, like a pig being slaughtered, echoed through the cave.

"AHHH... NOOOO!"

"HELP ME..."

"Don’t be scared, my aim is quite steady. One poke of the needle won’t make your Divine Soul dissipate. I am, however, a little... unpracticed, so you’ll have to bear with me." He sounded entirely too cheerful. "After this, we’ll move on to the Primordial Spirit Slicing Skill. You’ve probably never heard of it. It’s a new form of Magic I recently invented, and I haven’t had a chance to try it out on a living subject. I guess this is your lucky day."

"Demon... Your whole family is a bunch of demons!"

"Allow me to correct you. We are a family of Demon Cultivators. A very loving, close-knit family."
