Chapter 1764: Chaos Heart Formed
Kent opened his eyes and smiled, feeling his strength return to how it was before he dug out his Chaos Heart.
For a moment, he had thought he was finished. After all, losing access to all his energy and his Soul Sea was hardly a cause for celebration.
However, he had managed to form a new Chaos Heart, restoring everything. While replenishing his other cores would now require absorbing Chaos Qi and converting it into the appropriate energies, he could once again make use of every core under his command.
Without hesitation, Kent sent his consciousness into his Soul Sea, arriving beside the cocoon that housed Lady Kenzie.
He gently tapped it, and the cocoon unraveled, revealing the flawless beauty who had been serving as his Soul Guardian for the last couple of months.
The moment she was freed, she formed a hand seal, causing the wound on Kent’s soul to heal instantly.
The sudden recovery caused the people watching from the hall to furrow their brows.
Their interest in Kent increased yet again.
"What happened, my lord? One moment I was healing you, and the next, I was sealed away," Lady Kenzie asked after healing Kent.
"We are outside the universe... or perhaps still within it, but inside a realm detached from it. It is a place called the Chaos Chasm."
"Chaos Chasm? I have never heard of such a place before," she replied, clearly puzzled. Despite having lived for millions of years, she had never encountered such a name.
"Neither have I. However, we’re here now, so we’ll be getting some answers soon."
She nodded. After ensuring that every injury, both inside and outside Kent’s body, had completely healed, she let out a soft sigh before asking,
"What is the next plan, Master?"
"I am currently being held in a prison, so let’s wait for the people who imprisoned me to make contact. For now, simply observe. If danger arises, do your best to keep me alive."
"I will, Master," she replied.
Kent nodded before withdrawing his consciousness from the Soul Sea.
’What now, Tower?’ Kent asked after returning to his body.
I have a feeling that if we play our cards right, the Master will leave this place far more powerful than you are now.>
’If I can leave, that is,’ Kent thought with a faint smile before closing his eyes once more and beginning to absorb the Chaos Essence that permeated the air.
Naturally, Kent was taken aback when waves of Chaos Essence, far purer than what he had absorbed in the Tormented Chaos Abyss, began rushing into his Chaos Heart.
In fact, compared to that place, the Chaos Essence here was on an entirely different level.
In no time, his Chaos Heart began filling with an astonishing amount of Chaos Essence. Even Kent was dumbfounded by the sheer quantity he was absorbing.
’This place is a paradise for Chaos energy cultivators,’ he thought with a smile before continuing to absorb it. The more he absorbed, the stronger he became.
Twenty-four hours later, Kent had absorbed enough Chaos Essence into his Chaos Heart with only fifteen percent away from full saturation.
However, he was forced to stop when the walls around him began to move.
Soon, an opening appeared to his left, causing Kent to become alert and quickly rise to his feet. He already knew what was about to happen, so he walked out before anyone even asked him to.
In no time, he found himself outside, gazing at a gray sky.
Even more astonishing, the Chaos Essence in the air was at least ten times denser than it had been inside the prison.
’This is just incredible,’ he thought inwardly.
However, his expression quickly changed when he sensed three presences behind him.
Turning sharply, his eyes landed on three towering figures, each standing well over ten feet tall, their mere presence radiating overwhelming authority.
"This..." Kent instinctively stumbled back several meters as beads of sweat formed on his forehead the moment he sensed the terrifying aura surrounding them.
"Primordials..."
"That would be Primordial Gods, little dragon," one of them corrected.
He crouched down slightly, lowering his enormous frame enough to speak to Kent face-to-face. Even though Kent stood at seven feet three inches in his demi-dragon form, he still looked like an insect before the giant.
"My name is Kwame, leader of the City Guards and the one who brought you here."
He gestured toward the woman standing beside him, whose towering and imposing figure commanded equal respect and power.
"She is Mrinali, and he is Devak, my immediate subordinate."
"Welcome to the Red Bone Chaos Tribe," Mrinali said with a small wave.
Despite possessing the bloodline of the Primordial Chaos Dragon, Kent couldn’t help but feel suffocated by the overwhelming pressure emanating from the three.
Forget the Blood Ancestor. Just one casual slap from any of these Primordial Gods, and not even a fragment of his bones would remain.
"May we know your name?" Kwame asked.
Kent, still shaken to his core, forced himself to answer.
"My name is Kent Madson."
"Kent Madson... I can’t say I recognize that name," Kwame muttered thoughtfully.
Mrinali and Devak wore similar expressions.
"Are you from the Black Flame Chaos Dragon Tribe?" Kwame asked.
A faint strand of killing intent leaked from his body, and Kent immediately caught it.
He knew he absolutely could not answer yes—even if it were true.
"No. I am from a place called the Infinity Universe."
"Huh... You’re a Traveler."
The three Primordial Gods visibly trembled with excitement.
Before Kent could react, the world around him blurred.
The next instant, he found himself standing inside a vast hall, facing a much smaller humanoid whose aura he couldn’t perceive at all.
That alone told Kent everything he needed to know.
She was far stronger than the three Primordial Gods.
The realization left him so shocked that he completely failed to notice everyone else gathered inside the hall.
"You said you are from the Infinity Universe," the woman said. "Do you, by any chance, have any connection to the Chaos Ascension King?"
She possessed long flowing brown hair and a lean yet muscular physique befitting a seasoned warrior. Although she was seated, Kent could tell she was around eight feet tall. She wore leather-like armor woven from an incredibly durable material.
"I am from the Infinity Universe," Kent replied, "but I don’t know, nor have I ever heard of, the person you mentioned. In fact, this is my first time hearing that name."
"I see."
She nodded thoughtfully.
"Then can you tell me how you arrived here? In the past, every Traveler who came here was summoned by one of the Seven Tribes to challenge the Chaos Ascension Tower. You are the first to arrive here on your own, and within the territory of our Red Bone Chaos Tribe.
"If this had happened anywhere else, I would have assumed someone had summoned you. But none of us did, so tell me, Kent Madson... how did you get here?"
Kent let out a slow sigh before answering.
"I dug out my Chaos Heart and shattered it. Then, I used the power produced to open a Chaos Portal. I was supposed to be teleported somewhere far away from the place where my Chaos Heart was destroyed.
"But for reasons I still don’t understand, I ended up here instead."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"I was actually hoping these seniors could tell me whether there is a way back to my universe... and if so, how I can return."
