Chapter 1854: Amon’s Guillotine Cave (4)
"Aren’t they the race that betrayed the universe by accepting aid from some unknown source?" Damba asked for more context, since he could still remember the conversation he had with Inaya all those years back.
"Yes, that same race. Apparently, someone from that place has been kept trapped here for years. We have come to rescue her, so you wouldn’t happen to have heard of or come across anyone with the features of that race, would you?"
Damba’s information network is one of the most extensive and vast sources Inaya had ever encountered, so she knew that if anyone had heard of Safira, the Forsaken Seer, it would be him.
"You know, Inaya, there are many people with features similar to those of the Forsaken Race, so you may have to be a bit more specific."
Inaya nodded. Then, recalling the description Kent had given her, she replied,
"Like I already said, she is a Forsaken being, so naturally, she has pale white skin and deep black hair streaked with silver strands. But aside from that, she has a pair of purple horns and reddish eyes. She is very beautiful, and, well, she has big breasts."
As she said that, her mind wandered back to how vividly Kent had described Safira’s breasts.
Then again, during the Primordial Era, when they first met, one of the most striking features Chaos had noticed was her breasts. They were the biggest he had ever seen, and while he never meant to stare too much, he couldn’t ignore such majestic racks.
Luckily, the mention of her boobs seemed to have stirred a memory in Damba’s mind.
"It appears I have information on the person you are searching for. In fact, I know where she is. However, I am not sure you are ready to go there."
"Why is that?" Inaya asked with a slight frown.
"Because the same person looking for you is also looking for her. The chances of you crossing paths with her minions are very high, so this might just be the most dangerous mission yet. Or, if you are lucky, it might be the simplest."
"Just tell me where she is. I will figure out how to handle that bitch later."
If she could simply kill that person, then she would have done so already. However, when it came to the Ash Maiden, she was no match for her, not even with Mak and Baldy’s help.
However, she also couldn’t leave now, not when she had come for Safira. This meant that whoever was after her, or both of them, had better prepare well because she wasn’t leaving without her asset.
Damba smiled, seeing the determined look that had appeared on Inaya’s face. This told him she had no intention of leaving just because someone of his power level was after her.
In fact, he was thrilled that Inaya seemed so defiant right now.
"The one you are looking for lives in the Umbrella Forest. She resides in the Inner Zone, surrounded by all kinds of horrors. If you go there, there is a high chance you will encounter the Ash Maiden’s minions on top of the horrors living there."
Inaya nodded. Then her eyes narrowed.
"You are awfully talkative today, Damba. You wouldn’t happen to have a motive behind this, would you?" Her eyes narrowed further, and she took a step forward, causing Damba to take a step back.
"You always seem to have an angle in whatever you do, so tell me, what do you have planned this time? After all, I am in this mess because of your schemes."
Damba chuckled, brushing a hand through his hair. "No angle here, Inaya. I just want my favorite human bug to succeed."
"Liar. You want something, so spill it before I find another way to make sure your plans never come to pass. And trust me, I mastered that many years ago."
Damba and Inaya locked into an intense glare for a few minutes before Damba smirked and said,
"Let’s just say that, without my help, you cannot get to the person you came for. So, for a moment, let’s assume our interests align."
"The last time our interests aligned, I became the most wanted person to an Overlord. So tell me, please, what do you have planned this time around? And don’t bullshit me, or I will be very pissed, and you don’t want me angry right now."
"True, you do not want Big Sister angry right now," Baldy said while still seated on Mak’s shoulder.
Damba smiled, and for a few seconds, he contemplated his next move. In the end, he decided to come clean.
"The last time you had a falling out with the Ash Maiden, I went on a mission to retrieve the Nameless Map. I succeeded, but got ambushed on my way back.
I had to ditch the map somewhere in the Umbrella Forest. Several years ago, I received a report that it had fallen into one of the Variant Pools.
Unfortunately for me, the Ash Maiden had also heard the same report and had deployed her minions to investigate and find an opening, just as I had.
A couple of years ago, I managed to find an opening, but it required two things. First, we have to get closer, which can only be achieved by someone who isn’t a native of this place.
That is not something to worry about, since we both have human subordinates. However, not all of us have a human friend called Inaya, the Ten Emotions Sword Maiden," he laughed, causing Inaya to smirk.
"I want you to get closer to the entrance and place my Teleportation Rune there. This would allow me to teleport directly there, which I think would solve your problem.
The second part of the plan has to do with me fighting the Ash Maiden, whom I know will come there. With me fighting her, you will have the chance to find the person you are looking for and rescue her long before the battle comes to an end.
All you have to do is get within ten meters of the entrance to the Blood Variant Pool and place my rune there." He looked closely at Inaya and asked,

"Do you think you can handle it?"
