Chapter 1855: Amon’s Guillotine Cave (5)
The question isn’t whether Inaya can handle the mission Damba had given her. She can, and with ease at that, especially now that she has become a True Sword Supreme.
The right question should be: what is Damba not telling her?
Inaya had lived with this shameless bastard for years, and so she knew just how insidious he could be. He is secretive, and whatever plans he comes up with, there is always a hidden aspect he doesn’t reveal until it is too late.
Inaya never intended to sign her name in the Ash Maidens’ book, not by a long shot. However, Damba’s scheme had landed her in that hot mess. Now, he had come up with something else, and that alone didn’t sit right with her.
Inaya narrowed her eyes and walked closer to Damba, who couldn’t help taking a few steps back.
While he was way stronger than Inaya, considering he was a Primordial and she was only a Supreme, he had to admit that this human lady scared him.
"Tell me, Damba, what else do you have planned this time around? And before you laugh and tell me everything is normal, know that my man is someone you wouldn’t want to anger. Trust me, if you play a fast one on me this time, I will return with a legion of terrifying warriors led by a very angry dragon. So tell me the truth, is the mission as simple as you claim or not?"
Damba smiled and shook his head. "Trust me, it is that simple. All you have to do is get closer to the Blood Variant Pool and put my teleportation rune there. The only danger is how you will get past those blood monkeys living in that zone."
She looked at Baldy and Mak and said, "I believe you have it covered, especially with their help."
Inaya didn’t nod at his words. Instead, she studied Damba’s expression for a few minutes before a sigh escaped her lips.
She knew she had no choice but to take up the offer. Safira was somewhere in there, and by finally getting the Ash Maiden off her back, she would be able to look for her.
The last thing she wanted was to return to the tower without the person she came for.
"Fine. I will do it, but as I said, pray this isn’t a setup. Trust me when I repeat this, but my man and my sisters aren’t the kind you want to offend."
Of course, it was just a brag. While Pandora was a Primordial, she isn’t a swordsman, so she doesn’t have sword intent. Because of that, she will be powerless in this calamity zone.
And while Kent had become much stronger, his cultivation of the sword was still limited, so even if he came, he would be a bug before someone like Damba.
But nothing was preventing her from making a threat, especially if she knew her man had managed to find himself seven Blood Warriors, with two qualified to come and wreak havoc in this place.
Damba raised two of his four hands and said with a smile, "I swear there are no curves to this mission. Just make sure you prepare for a quick and decisive battle."
Inaya nodded and turned to Mak and Baldy. "Are you two up for it?"
"Yes, big sister, let’s go kick some ass," Baldy was as enthusiastic as ever, while Mak seemed okay with everything as well.
"I would like to meet big brother, so the earlier we get things done, the better."
She nodded and turned back to Damba. "Hand over the rune and send us closer to the Umbrella Forest. Just prepare for battle because the last thing I want is to fight that bitch."

"But of course."
Damba still looks suspicious, but Inaya had no plans to dwell on it. If she failed to get close, she would just teleport into the tower and try again later.
Initially, when they appeared inside this place, their connection to the tower was severed. However, it was restored a couple of days ago, allowing them to return to the tower whenever they wanted.
So she wasn’t worried about the success of this mission.
Inaya, of course, collected more details on where they would find Safira. She couldn’t handle this dangerous mission without first getting a heads-up on where they would have to go after completing the mission Damba had given them.
Damba formed a hand seal, and when he pointed forward, a green portal appeared, swirling with green water.
"When you are ready."
Inaya turned to her teammates, and without a word, they walked through the portal and vanished from sight.
Somewhere else, the portal opened atop a cliff, and the three walked out. Before them lay a vast and expansive forest teeming with all kinds of dangers.
Standing atop the cliff, they could see seven segments of the forest, each bearing a different color.
The closest to them was a blue-colored forest, and right beside that was a red one. They could directly head to the red one, but to get to the green one, where Safira lived, they would have to go through the red forest, which housed the Blood Variant Pool.
"Our destination is that place," Inaya said, pointing at the red forest.
"Isn’t that sweet? I can already sense dangers staring at us from all the way here." Baldy smiled and jumped down from Mak’s shoulder. "Somehow, I want to fight them."
"You are not the only one, Baldy. I also want to fight them," Mak said, causing Inaya, who had planned to come on this mission alone initially, to be grateful these two were with her.
"Then let’s not waste too much time, shall we? We have a Forsaken Seer to save, and knowing their kind, she probably knows we are coming, so we should be on high alert."
They nodded, then they were gone, speeding toward the Blood Variant Pool, where their mission would officially begin.
The mission was very simple: they had to get close to the Pool and place the rune there. The rest would handle itself, hopefully.
