[Somewhere in Amon’s Guillotine Cave]

Inside a cave hidden somewhere in the Green Field Variant Pool, one of the seven zones in the Umbrella Forest, a pale-skinned woman opened her eyes from what appeared to be a deep sleep.

The moment she opened them, she rose to her feet and rushed to the entrance of the cave, where a very strong formation protected outsiders from entering.

She walked out, and when she was finally outside, she looked to her left, her gaze piercing deep into the distance. After a few moments of staring, she sighed, walked back into the cave, and sat down.

Then she formed a hand seal and pointed it at her forehead. For a moment, she saw nothing. But then she saw everything, and her eyes widened.

She could see Inaya, Mak, and Baldy locked in battle with hundreds of Blood Monkeys, their fight shaking the very forest. However, what intrigued her the most and kept her looking despite the constant drain on her essence was the mark on Inaya’s body.

The mark was that of a dragon’s head with four deadly fangs crossing it.

This mark felt familiar, too familiar that she couldn’t help but wish to figure out what it all meant. For a couple of minutes, she couldn’t help but wonder where she had seen this mark before.

But then it all clicked, and her eyes widened.

"Chaos..."

It had been thirteen eras since she had been sent to this place. That was a very long time for someone like her to remember names from the distant past.

She had forgotten many names, including those of some close friends. However, she had never forgotten the name of the dragon who was the reason she had found herself in this mess.

She had helped Chaos after he was ambushed by the Forsaken Race. When they found out, they sealed her cultivation and imprisoned her here.

She had been here for eras already.

She pulled a small purple token from her storage pouch and brushed her hand across it, a sigh escaping her lips. For a moment, she contemplated what to do.

It had been many eras since she had last heard of Chaos, so sensing his seal on Inaya, she was tempted to go meet her.

However, she hesitated because, despite living here for billions of years, her cultivation, which had been sealed at the peak of the Universal God Stage, remained unchanged.

She couldn’t be reckless and head over to such a place, not when she had been hiding from the Ash Maiden and her minions.

But if she wanted to find out more about Chaos, then she had to go and learn what these people knew about him.

She soon made up her mind and left her cave dwelling, using her many years of experience to sneak through the dangerous forest as she closed in on the Blood Variant Pool.

Somewhere else, a lady with large twisted horns and ashy skin stood atop a large tower overlooking the red forest in the distance. Of course, the distance between them was several million kilometers.

However, she could see what was happening there, and judging by the amused expression on her face, she was happy to have found the one she had been looking for all these years.

But as she watched Inaya and her team head in a particular direction, realization flashed across her face, making her turn away from the forest and look into the distance.

There, Damba stood with an amused smile, looking back at her.

For a moment, she fumed with anger.

Damba smirked and said, "I believe this is what humans call checkmate."

His laughter spread across the vast forest around him, causing the already angered expression on the Ash Maiden’s face to darken even further.

"Don’t celebrate too early, you green-faced bastard. I haven’t lost just yet."

Just as she said that, a streak of red light flashed across the sky, entering the Blood Variant Pool. Within this red light, five people, each from the Infinity Universe, began attacking the Blood Monkeys as they headed toward the portal on the other side.

Already, Inaya and her team were two kilometers away from where they would place the rune. However, the speed at which these five were moving was so great that, in no time, they had closed the distance to three kilometers, and soon they would surpass even Inaya.

"Let’s see which team makes it there first," the Ash Maiden said with a smug expression.

However, instead of panicking, Damba just smiled and replied, "You’ve already lost, bitch. Now watch how I drag your face through the mud."

Considering how fast the Ash Maiden’s team was moving, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she held the advantage. Yet despite that, she couldn’t shake the feeling that Damba had something else planned.

Damba’s reputation as a sneaky and crafty bastard wasn’t earned for no reason.

He was that crafty, and perhaps that was what kept the Ash Maiden from feeling at ease.

Still, she knew the outcome would be determined by who could overpower whom. As far as she remembered, Damba wasn’t on her level of power, so she kept her composure and continued to wait for the rune to be planted.

Inaya harnessed the power of the Hatred and Resentment Sword Dao, cleaving through the Blood Monkeys as though they were bugs.

At the side, Baldy was also unleashing terrifying crescent-shaped sword slashes at the Blood Monkeys while riding atop a rather large sword.

This sword had been given to him by his big brother, Han, before leaving for this mission. While they both possessed Eternal Sword Intent, Han, like the rest of his siblings, was overprotective of Baldy.

So, to make up for the years of neglect, he had given Baldy that sword, which contained seventy percent of his power. In dire moments, it would reveal its true might.

Mak, on the other hand, was like a mist, gliding across the battlefield from one side to the other, cutting down his enemies as though they were made of foam.

"I feel like something is terribly wrong," Baldy said, cutting off the tail of a Blood Monkey.

"You are not the only one feeling that, Baldy. I feel the same way too," Inaya replied, a frown appearing on her face.
