Assassins are meant to stick to the shadows, stalking their prey, and just when they let their guard down, they attack, aiming to kill with a single decisive blow.

They are not meant to engage in one-on-one combat with their prey, especially not against one that is several levels above them.

However, Kent was doing just that. Hidden inside his Faceless Shadow Realm, he and the Spider Dark Queen were locked in what could be considered the most intense close-quarters battle of the past decade.

Every attack from the Spider Dark Queen was being countered so effortlessly that even she began to doubt her own strength and abilities.

In fact, she couldn’t understand how she still hadn’t cut down the annoying demigod brat who had come out of nowhere and started displaying power beyond their comprehension.

"Just die!"

Her spear carved a trail of purple light through the air, carrying dense Celestial Qi.

However, Kent’s dagger, coated in Divine Qi and Shadow Qi, blocked it. Then, with a twist of his hand, he twirled his other dagger. He lowered his head and, catching the dagger, attacked the Spider Dark Queen’s leg.

However, she managed to pull her body back.

This gave Kent the time to roll away, then he stabbed a dagger into the ground.

"Shadow Tendrils."

The ground cracked, and Shadow Qi spewed out. Then it all formed into tendrils and lunged at the Spider Dark Queen, who unleashed a wide sweep, severing them all.

Kent distanced himself and said with a smile,

"You know, I have never met a spider who is as fierce and crafty as you before." His words fell on deaf ears, and the next moment, the Spider Dark Queen lunged forward.

"Sad, really, to think such a fine creature as yourself had become corrupted by the Dark Empress." Kent jumped back, evading a deadly attack aimed at his chest. Then, kicking hard, he met the Spider Dark Queen’s spear.

He was blasted back, sending a shockwave across the battlefield.

Before he could even stabilize himself, he felt a presence appear overhead. The next second, a powerful spear descended toward him.

Kent dodged to the side, then turned to his left and smiled. "Looking down on me isn’t really something you should be doing, especially since you are running out of time."

’Two more minutes to go, then I can go all out and not care about anyone escaping,’ he said inwardly, spinning his daggers.

Kent locked gazes with the Spider Dark Queen, who, he could tell, was wondering just how a demigod could prove so hard to kill. Kent wasn’t someone she could kill easily, especially when he just stood there confidently, showing no fear of her.

This made her frown deeply, and then she decided to end the battle.

She lifted her spear into the air, and Celestial Qi mixed with Dark Qi started flowing into it.

’She is getting serious,’ Kent said inwardly.

Then he made his preparations as a massive spear formed in the air. A few seconds later, a spear nearly two hundred meters long shot forward, aimed at Kent, who smirked and summoned the Chaos Scale Shield.

BOOM

The spear struck the shield, and for a moment, it trembled. However, as if the spear wasn’t something to put much emphasis on, cracks formed across it, and it shattered.

But that wasn’t even the shocking part. Just as the spear shattered, Kent wrapped his energy around the fragments of the shattered Celestial Qi spear and formed a new one.

Then, with a decisive hurl, he threw the spear at the Spider Dark Queen, causing her expression to pale.

"What?"

She thrust her spear forward, meeting the giant one in a deadly collision. The impact blasted the Spider Dark Queen backward. However, before she could even wonder how any of this was possible, Kent became a dark mist and appeared behind her, stabbing with one of his daggers laced with Death Qi.

She managed to deflect it with her spear, but as a dual wielder, Kent went low and slashed her leg, drawing green blood.

"Arrggghh!"

She screamed, causing the Dark Fiends out there and the Jian Army to flinch. It had already been a couple of minutes since Kent and the Spider Dark Queen had clashed inside the Faceless Shadow Realm, but she still hadn’t put him down.

Naturally, that was shocking. But they had also seen how Kent had killed Kinkade and the thousands of Dark Fiends, their bodies littering the battlefield.

So while they most certainly had no understanding of how Kent was doing any of this, they knew he wasn’t an easy target to kill, not by a long shot.

"Just where did this monster come from?" some of the warriors started asking, each paying more attention to the carnage around them.

Because of the deadly explosions, most of the bodies had been reduced to piles of bones and flesh. However, they could still see thousands of Dark Fiends lying dead across the battlefield, telling them that before they arrived, a deadly battle had taken place.

More chillingly, the Eye of Chaos was still hovering in the sky, casting a terrifying atmosphere over everyone. Some of them had already lost their resolve to continue this fight, but deep down, they knew the main battle had yet to begin.

This left them at a loss for what to do.

Of course, they received their answer a minute and a half later when a figure covered in deadly cuts came flying out of the darkness.

Gasp

When the Jian warriors saw the grievous wounds covering the Spider Dark Queen, they all gasped, some taking trembling steps backward.

Kent walked out of the Shadow Realm smiling, his daggers still firmly held in his hands. More importantly, he looked at the countdown before his eyes.

5...4...3...2...1

[The Limitless Chaos Tower is awakening.]

Kent felt a powerful energy, so advanced and ancient, wash through his body, traveling through his Soul Sea, opening his Mind Sea, and even reaching his Soul Universe.

At once, he saw an elegant tower appear out of nowhere within his Soul Sea. The moment it touched down, Kent felt his soul growing stronger.

[Your Limitless Chaos Tower has awakened successfully]

The process lasted only a few seconds, but he felt so many changes within himself that he could tell he had become at least three times stronger...

Most importantly, he could sense his connection to everyone being restored. But to his utmost shock, he could also sense his connection to some people he had never met in this life, yet who had been friends, lovers, and allies in the past.

He couldn’t summon them, but he knew exactly where they were.

But if that wasn’t the most shocking part, Kent could sense, and even see, his Undead Legion all the way in the Undead Realm, something he couldn’t do before.

He could do the same for Indie, Miryssa, and Nyx, all the way in the Underworld.

’Well, I guess things have gotten out of hand then,’ he thought with a smile as he lifted his head.

"You know, why don’t we fight like madmen now?"

He raised his head and snapped his fingers, muttering just a single word.

"Seal."

The planet, which spanned fifty-five thousand light-years in diameter, was sealed, preventing anyone from leaving. If one looked at it from the outside, it was now covered by a massive purple dome.

Kent smiled, seeing he had nothing to worry about now, and then he summoned his legion and wives.

"Legion Call."
