’’Greetings patriarch.’’ she bowed at the projection of Azariah.

His golden eyes even with mere projection put an enormous pressure on her.

’’How is the progression? Have you successfully managed to control him yet?"

It went without saying he was talking about the child whom he previously discarded because he didn’t show any value but now he had shown them he must have him at any cost, naturally it was question of Nero.

Elysia who always maintain normal expression in front of her father couldn’t help but tremble slightly and this didn’t go unnoticed by him.

’’Responding to the patriarch, so progress is made, I’ve pushed him to challenge me in the next competition to thoroughly crush him and completely bring him under control.’’ Elysia calmly replied after gathering her wits.

Azariah said nothing for a moment before raising a question.

’’What if you lose in the incoming duel?" His eyes were narrowed dangerously as if to say you know what would happen if you were to mess this up right?

For the first time since the beginning of the video call, Elysia lifted her head, those golden eyes bearing almost complete resemblance with her father own bore directly onto his.

I’ll smash every single thing he would show and thoroughly crush him as I have done it, after all there can only be one lion king in the mountain, I’m that lion king.’’ she proudly declared unafraid of her father’s scrutinizing gaze, her eyes were filled with absolute confidence he could see it. She was still the same, almost arrogant as he was back in day.

Azariah nodded in satisfaction. ’’Good remember if you were to fail the consequences will be big even if you’re useful now and my favorite. That can change at any moment. Do not disappoint me and remember what we can’t control we must destroy it.’’

’’I understand, patriarch.’’ she responded and the connection was immediately cut off. She slumped into her chair, her back drenched in sweat. Talking to that man was never easy. Elysia’s eyes narrowed into slit eyes as she recalled her lovely little brother doing his utmost to crush her, she was really looking forward to it but she couldn’t get complacent, he had the capital to be complacent, he was that exceptional, what if he awaken another law? She heard he had stepped into the Purple realm, his speed was truly horrifying still she wasn’t afraid, a pressure like this was welcomed because it pushed her to worker harder and the reward of conquering him would be truly sweet. Imagining trampling on everything he prepared, stepping on his head at the end as she turn him into her slave was really thrilling.

She rose from her seat, her body stretching until popping sound was emitted. She immediately changed into her training gears, taking her student council seal she went out, soon she rented a special training pocket world and paid 200 credit instead of 400 because of the discount for her status and accomplishment.

After passing through the portal she appeared in another world, there was half broken moon with a satellite, the forest below was gigantic, stretching as far as the eyes could see.

She immediately felt presence, with her sharp senses, it was an humanoid monster.

Two broad eyes observe their surroundings from their scaly sockets. A small nose rests below, but it’s the shallow mouth below that takes all the attention. A lazy smile reveals rows of huge teeth and a flat tongue.

Massive hanging ears sit on each side of its tiny, thin head, which itself is covered in web-like fans.

Its short stout body is hunched over. Two lean stone-like arms dangle at its sides and end in bony hands with sharp nailed fingers, of which it has 8 in total.

Its legs are tall and stand straight, each ending in long feet.

Its body is covered in soft skin and its shoulders are broader than its pelvis, from which a split tail sways back and forth.

Elysia’s body vanished and reappeared behind the humanoid monster who tried to attack but it was already too late, her hand covered in golden lightning had already pierced through the monster’s tough hide, crushing its heart from within before appearing on the other side, an instant death.

She tossed the dead body aside before moving around killing various monsters solely relying on her terrifying physical strength and golden lightning. Against B rank monsters it was enough, you may think she was playing around but she was using this opportunity to further refine the control over her Law. Amongst Azariah’s children except for Nero, she was the one closest to the Law of lightning, her control over it surpassed Azariah’s control at the same age.

Normal, only at the Apex level, it’s to say once you become a Zodiac, a Black rank knight, after the final transformation of your core into a vortex that you can start thinking about the final form of your law, becoming one with it but recently she had begun thinking what if she could achieve the same thing at her current level? Just like Nero did but there was countless circumstances when it comes to him which lead to that result.

It wasn’t like nobody thought like the thought but realistically speaking it was not possible, simply because in order to achieve that state an absurd amount of prana (mana) was necessary, state achievable only at the highest level so you can understand why nobody ever tried any longer at the purple rank but here was someone wanting to try the same thing.

After killing her hundredth monster she sat with their corpses stacked behind her. She meditated,doing the Raizen’s breathing technique to recover, purify her prana, slightly increasing her lake like prana in her lower abdomen. She was still a long way before reaching the black rank.

’’What if it try creating another core inside my heart to compress pure prana before linking it with my primary core? This way I can achieve my goal, easily embody my law. Turn into the Law of lightning instead of domain even if it’s for a moment? It’s possible.’’ she immediately get at work, strangely she was about to do the same thing as Nero, it was not like she had not thought about creating a second core but simply because it was not possible and extremely risky but now to achieve her goal she must, there was that monster she must never lose against, in order to achieve her goal she ought to go all out. She had to admit it, he put pressure on her, he was more than her equal, underestimate him and she might lose.
