...

Aether staggered, breathing heavily, as his eyes shook.

He was... alive? But how?

Looking around, he looked to be chained... inside some kind of metal humanoid box, filled with spikes. Before he could ever realize what had happened, he saw a man in front of him, slamming the doors of the box shut, as the spikes instantly rushed inside him, just barely missing any vital organs, but still killing him.

[You have died]

...

Aether staggered once more, not understanding what was happening. Trying to get on his feet, he was held back to the floor by some sort of ropes, as he heard barking in the distance, and many blood-hungry dogs ran towards him. "Shit!" He said, pushing harder but to no avail. Before he could even do anything, the dogs rushed at him, starting to bite off the skin and muscles from his limbs, as well as mauling at his face.

...

[You have died]

...

Awakening, Aether instantly got up, only to make the confused eyes of those rise at him. Looking around, he found himself in a normal bar.

"Something wrong?" Aether turned to face the voice; it had been coming from the other side of his table, where a woman rested. "Sit down, I don’t want to make a scene." She waved him off.

Aether breathed heavily, confused. Hadn’t he died? Like two times, no, three times. And it couldn’t have been his imagination; he had felt everything, every little bit of the pain inflicted on him, he felt.

Looking at the women, he sighed, sitting back in his seat. While his foot shook violently under the table, he was very nervous. He had no idea what was happening, how he had gotten here, and how he was still alive. ’Am I going to die again?’ His gaze flew around, trying to find anything that could kill him. But it was just another bar.

The women leaned over the table, flicking his forehead to get his attention. "Let me pour you some water; you don’t look in your zone at all today."

’Water...?’ He was skeptical... but some water really would make things a bit better; he really wasn’t in his zone, but for a good reason.

As the woman poured his cup of water, his eyes kept wandering, trying to find anything. But once she finished, he grabbed the drink and let it down his throat all at once... it had... a weird taste...

The women laughed, slapping the table slightly. "Didn’t expect you to drink it so fast...

Either way, it’s poison.’

Aether’s heart fell as he heard it.

...

Just like his head fell onto the table.

[You have died]

...

Aether tried to breathe... but he couldn’t. As he found himself in the middle of the ocean, deep in the water. He panicked, trying to swing his arms to get up, but the more he tried, the deeper and deeper he fell into the dark ocean. It was only him, no fish, no nothing. Not even sand, just the infinite water and him... and he was running out of oxygen.

...

[You have died]

...

’Damn it, what the heck is going on!?’ He said, scared, as he found himself in a cell, bound to a wall, before two knights stepped in, holding their blades. He wanted to speak to them, but as he tried, he realized his tongue had been cut off.

The knights started slashing at his body, making more cuts for blood to fall out than he could count... each draining his blood completely over the span of a good amount of time.

Until there was no more.

[You have died]

’Huh?’ Aether thought as, when he opened his eyes, he was still in the same room, his body was back to how it had been before, and the guards... they didn’t have their blades anymore... was this whole thing finally done?

He smiled as he looked up.

But as he did, he was lit up in flames.

...

[You have died]

...

...

...

Darkness, he saw, surrounded by darkness. Aether tried moving, but he looked to be in a... small, closed wooden box... awfully perfectly shaped to hold him...

He was inside a coffin. And was slowly losing oxygen. Panicking, he started wasting even more oxygen, until he had a hard time breathing... but that was the point where his mind finally started thinking.

As he started punching up, breaking through the wood.

Dirt started falling in as he punched through it, and his hand reached the outside world.

There was hope. Seeing it. He risked all his oxygen, making the hole bigger, until he finally got his whole body out.

He took deep breaths, taking the oxygen he badly needed inside him. He sighed, relieved, yet looking behind him. He saw a stone grave... with his name written on it.

...

[You have unlocked the right to use your Ability{Gravewalker}]

...

...

...

Aether staggered up, his eyes moving all over the place to figure out where and what was going on... to figure out what was going to kill him this time

...

But there was nothing.

He was sitting in a bed, inside what looked like a hospital room... with a man dressed in the outfit of a doctor... who looked awfully... pale. Almost like a ghost, as he dropped the things he was holding on the ground, staring at him.

...

"Do you... need a doctor?"
