Chapter 1412: You’re Not Really a Woman, Are You?
Thomas Fisher, driving in the front, still hadn’t said a word, but he would occasionally glance at the rearview mirror at Alice Turner. Unfortunately, Alice was looking out the car window, and he could only see her profile, but even that made him content.
Being able to see her now was already a blessing from heaven, and he certainly wouldn’t waste this opportunity that heaven had given him. He would do everything possible to keep her by his side, making her his lifelong partner.
More than half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a breakfast restaurant.
"Alice! Time to get out!"
Hearing Thomas call her, Alice realized the car had stopped. She looked up and glanced outside the car, noticing for the first time that they were parked in front of a breakfast place.
She withdrew her gaze from the car window and tilted her head to look at Anthony, sitting next to her. Seeing Anthony had already opened the car door, and noticing her looking at him, he tilted his head and winked, "Sis! I’m getting out first. Don’t dawdle too much."
With that, he quickly stretched his leg out of the car.
Seeing Anthony already out of the car, Alice opened her door and got out as well. As she did, she intentionally avoided looking at Thomas, who was watching her intently from his side. Once out, she quickly shut the car door.
Bang!
It’s unclear whether he was actually startled or just playing along with Alice’s action of closing the door, but the moment the door shut heavily, Thomas jolted slightly.
He tilted his head to glance at her now out of the car and then finally exited the car himself.
After Thomas got out, Alice and Anthony were already walking together to the restaurant entrance. Seeing this, he immediately strode after them.
With his tall stature and long legs, he had an advantage and quickly caught up with them. The moment he did, he forcefully wedged himself between the two.
Then, he nudged Anthony to the side and, while pushing him away, reached out to hold Alice’s hand.
"Mr. Fisher! Can you not be so rough? If you keep this up, I guarantee my sister will dislike you more and more." Before Thomas could lose his temper, Anthony quickly blurted out before dashing into the breakfast restaurant.
"Brat! Just you wait!"
Thomas, irritated, pointed a finger at Anthony as he ran into the restaurant. Only when Anthony was out of sight did he turn his gaze to Alice beside him. In the instant he turned back, the anger on his face was replaced by deep tenderness, "Alice! Let’s go in too."
When Thomas led Alice into the restaurant, Anthony was already seated at a window-side table. Though Thomas didn’t want to approach with her, it wasn’t the time for him to act rashly yet. He had to bear with it for now.
Reluctantly holding her hand, he led her over to Anthony, sitting opposite him imposingly. To prevent her from getting up and sitting across from him, he continued to hold her hand tightly after sitting down.
Upon witnessing this scene, Anthony instantly shot Thomas a disdainful look, huffing disapprovingly, "Hmph!"
The huff lacked any masculine bravado and instead carried a soft charm.
"Anthony! Sometimes you really act like a woman. Are you sure you’re not a woman?" Having spent much time with Anthony, Thomas found he was becoming more and more like a woman, and he genuinely suspected the person sitting opposite him might actually be one.
