Chapter 1408: Two Unusual People
Hearing what Thomas Fisher said, Alice Turner was momentarily stunned. As she came to her senses, she saw him already heading inside. She glanced at him, closed the door, and walked towards the bathroom.
"Mr. Anthony! Good morning!"
Hearing Thomas Fisher greet Anthony, Alice Turner instinctively stopped in her tracks and looked over, tilting her head in the direction of the voice.
What’s wrong with this man today? Why is he being so friendly with Anthony? What on earth is he up to?
While Alice Turner was full of doubt, Anthony spoke up, "Good morning, Mr. Fisher!"
"Are you here to have breakfast with your sister?" Thomas Fisher asked, bending over to sit down on the sofa.
Upon hearing this, Anthony nodded immediately, "Yes!"
Watching the two of them interact so amicably, Alice Turner felt only confusion and astonishment, but she didn’t linger there. She glanced at the two sitting on the sofa and walked into the bathroom.
Alice Turner quickly washed up and came out of the bathroom right away. Even though the two seemed to be getting along, she had no idea what they were actually thinking.
"Sis! Can we leave now?" Seeing Alice Turner emerge from the bathroom, Anthony immediately got up and walked over to her.
Seeing this, Thomas Fisher didn’t hesitate at all. He got up and walked over to them, saying, "Let’s go! I’ll treat both of you to a meal."
As he approached, his generous words floated over.
"No need."
"Sure."
Alice Turner and Anthony spoke at the same time, but their intentions were completely opposite. After speaking, they both looked at each other simultaneously.
Thomas Fisher stepped forward and grabbed Alice Turner, waving his other hand in front of her eyes, "Stop glaring at Mr. Anthony. We’re just having a meal together."
Without waiting for her consent, he pulled her along and headed towards the door with large steps.
"But I don’t want to eat with you." Alice Turner struggled to shake off Thomas Fisher’s hand. After trying a few times unsuccessfully, she gave up wasting her energy and scowled at the man beside her.
Before Thomas Fisher could speak, Anthony had already stepped in to support him, "It’s just a meal; you don’t have to be so petty."
While speaking, Anthony dared not meet Alice Turner’s eyes. After he finished, he quickly turned his head towards the direction of the door.
"You, you two..."
From the moment Thomas Fisher walked in, Alice Turner felt something unusual between him and Anthony. Now, that strange feeling was becoming clearer and more intense. She looked at Thomas, who was holding her hand, and then at Anthony, who avoided her gaze.
Seeing her puzzled and curious expression, Thomas Fisher smiled and said, "For your sake, the two of us will never argue again. We will get along well."
He smiled at her and pulled her out of the room.
"Mr. Fisher is right. The two of us will definitely get along well from now on. Don’t worry," Anthony nodded in agreement, expressing his stance with a smile on his face.
Alice Turner wasn’t that naive, nor that easily fooled. These two must be hiding something from her; something must have happened between them last night that she didn’t know about.
"Gentlemen! Can one of you answer me? When did you two come to this agreement?" She looked at the two, waiting for them to give her an answer.
