Chapter 1449: Uncle Ji Still Isn’t My Uncle-in-Law
While Easton Holmes and Thomas Fisher were happily bickering, Lily Turner pulled Rosie Thompson over, "Sis! Bro-in-law!"
As she approached, she greeted them first.
Hearing his wife call his fourth brother-in-law, Easton Holmes’ face instantly darkened; his status lowered again with his wife’s, but he had no choice, as the other person was the fiancé of his older sister-in-law.
"Little sister-in-law!"
Thomas Fisher immediately noticed his big brother’s displeasure and shouted "little sister-in-law" at Lily Turner as she approached, deliberately raising his voice.
Easton Holmes shot a chilly glance at his brother who was purposely irritating him and turned to look at Lily Turner and Rosie Thompson, who had just walked over. He reached out and took Rosie Thompson’s other hand, "Rosie! Say hello!"
Seeing his son hesitant to greet anyone, he looked down to remind him.
"Uncle Thomas! Aunt!" Hearing his dad’s reminder, Rosie Thompson finally looked up and greeted the two of them.
Upon hearing Rosie call Thomas Fisher "Uncle Thomas", Lily Turner quickly corrected, "Rosie! Didn’t I tell you to call Uncle Thomas ’brother-in-law’?"
What’s with this little guy? He was clearly told to call him brother-in-law, but he still called him Uncle Thomas when meeting face to face.
"Uncle Thomas and Aunt aren’t married yet, so Uncle Thomas isn’t my brother-in-law." Rosie refuted reasonably and logically.
"But..."
"Let the little guy call whatever he wants now; he can change it later."
Lily Turner opened her mouth to correct Rosie’s name again, but before she could finish, Thomas Fisher interrupted her.
Alice Turner nodded in agreement, "Calling him uncle is fine, as long as our Rosie is happy."
After the four and three children exchanged pleasantries at the door for a while, the group of seven entered the hotel together.
When the seven of them arrived at the private room, the four elders were already seated steadily, chatting about something. Seeing them walk in, the four turned their heads to look towards the door.
"Grandpa! Grandma!"
Seeing Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood, Rosie Thompson slid off Thomas Fisher’s body and onto the floor, happily running over to the pair.
Seeing his little granddaughter running over, Sophia Wood quickly turned and opened her arms to welcome her, "Darling!"
The three little cuties normally had to attend kindergarten and only came home on weekends, meaning she could only see them once a week.
"Grandma!"
Rosie held onto Sophia Wood’s neck, climbing onto her lap with Sophia’s support.
Seeing her sister occupy Grandma’s embrace first, Evie was also unwilling to be left out, "Aunt! Put me down; I want to go find Grandpa."
If her sister occupied Grandma’s embrace, she’d occupy Grandpa’s, not letting her brother go first.
But little Evie was still outpaced. While she was still in Aunt’s embrace, Rosie had already run over to Grandpa.
Seeing Grandpa and Grandma’s embrace taken by her brother and sister, Evie pouted discontentedly and turned to her father, clutching his pants with her little hands, "Dad! Brother and Sister are bullying me!"
Unable to compete with her brother and sister, Evie turned to her father to complain about them.
"How are your brother and sister bullying you? Don’t make false accusations." Lily Turner was quite troubled and worried by Evie’s penchant for complaining, concerned that such behavior wouldn’t foster healthy growth, but the little girl remained unaffected, ignoring her teachings and stubbornly continuing.
