Athena never thought about it, and she didn’t discuss anything with Raven, seeing as the latter had already sat down and started her busy work.
She didn’t dare to slack off for a moment and circled around the desk to make a cup of coffee in the pantry and took it to the CEO’s office.
"Mr. Fisher... your coffee."
Athena was about to call out to Thomas Fisher as Thomas, but just when she called out "Thomas," she suddenly realized this was the company, and she couldn’t be too casual. She immediately corrected herself to call him Mr. Fisher.
Thomas Fisher didn’t mind this much, glancing at the coffee just placed on the table, and then looked up at Athena who stood in front of the table, "Are you getting used to it here?"
He leaned back, resting in the boss chair.
"I’m getting used to it."
With you here, how could I not get used to it?
Said Athena, but she dared only say it in her heart for now, although she firmly believed one day she’d dare to say it loudly to the man behind the desk.
Thomas Fisher never imagined Athena had such thoughts, let alone that she came to work at his company just as a pretense, that she was actually here because of him.
"As long as you’re getting used to it, but making you my life secretary might be a bit of an injustice to you." He didn’t want her fetching him tea and water, but at the moment, he couldn’t find a suitable job for this young lady to do. To prevent her from being subjected to any grievance, he placed her under his direct supervision for peace of mind.
"I don’t feel wronged at all; serving you is my great honor." Athena appeared to be joking, yet these were genuinely her heartfelt thoughts. She found joy in doing anything for Thomas Fisher and did so willingly.
Even if he didn’t pay her a penny, she’d happily come and do any work for him.
"Sensible!"
Thomas Fisher just took it as a joke, raising his finger with a smile towards her.
"Thanks for the praise, I’ll keep working hard."
Athena knew Thomas Fisher mistakenly thought she was joking, and felt a little disappointed, but her face still maintained a cheerful look.
After flashing a brilliant smile, she turned and walked out of his office, knowing it was his work time, she exited not to disturb him from his important work.
Thomas Fisher’s playful words of praise made Athena happy for a long time, happiness reflected on her face.
"Lily! Did you find a gold ingot?" Seeing Athena sneakily smiling while having lunch, Lily Turner couldn’t resist tilting her head to jest.
Before Athena could respond, An An already spoke up, "Aunt Athena found a gold ingot? Where? I want to see."
While speaking, the child had already dropped their chopsticks, slid off the chair, and ran over to Athena.
"Mama! What’s a gold ingot?" Rosie blinked her big eyes, looking at her mama with confusion, waiting for her to dispel the doubts.
"A gold ingot is..."
"Dummy! Gold ingots are rare treasures, very valuable."
Just as Lily Turner was about to explain what a gold ingot was, she only had uttered a few words when An An interrupted her.
