Lily Turner didn’t expect that one sentence from her would cause such a stir, and her son actually believed that Athena Linton had picked up a gold ingot and insisted on asking her for it.
"Auntie! Hurry up and show us the gold ingot you picked up." Little An didn’t care about his sister telling on him; his sister telling on him was already a common occurrence, and he was used to it. Anyway, their dad wasn’t someone who couldn’t tell right from wrong.
Seeing Little An, who was tugging at her and insisting on seeing the gold ingot, Athena Linton was at a loss, "Auntie didn’t pick up any gold ingot, believe it or not, take a look."
To prove to Little An that she didn’t have a gold ingot, she turned out her pockets for him to see.
"Little An! Go back and eat your meal properly." Lily Turner waved to call Little An back to his seat to continue eating, but he seemed as if he didn’t hear her and was earnestly checking Athena Linton’s pockets.
After confirming there was nothing in Athena Linton’s pockets, Little An disappointedly returned to his original seat and, once seated, looked towards Lily Turner in confusion, "Mom! Didn’t you say Auntie picked up a gold ingot?"
At this moment, apart from the gold ingot, nothing else could pique his interest in his little head.
"Silly boy! Your mom saw your aunt secretly laughing. When asked why she was so happy, it turns out your aunt didn’t pick up any gold ingot." Easton Holmes, sitting at the head of the dining table, answered in place of Lily Turner, who was still figuring out how to explain.

"Why are you all staring at me instead of eating? Do I have flowers on my face?" Although they were all family, it made her a bit uneasy to be stared at unblinkingly by everyone.
To alleviate her nervousness, Athena Linton intentionally raised her voice when she spoke, touching her cheeks with her hands. Her gaze flitted over everyone’s faces, never lingering too long on any one person.
"There aren’t flowers on your face, but you do have something on your mind." After a long silence, Easton Holmes suddenly spoke, directly hitting Athena Linton’s nerve.
Athena Linton immediately shook her head to deny it: "I don’t."
She definitely couldn’t let everyone know what was on her mind now; they would surely try to stop her if they knew. She planned to tell them once she succeeded in winning over that man.
"You definitely have something on your mind."
When Lily Turner noticed Athena Linton secretly smiling before, she realized Athena was up to something, which led her to blurt out that sentence just now.
Now, seeing Athena Linton denying it so quickly, she was even more convinced of her suspicion; she firmly believed she hadn’t made a mistake.
Upon hearing this, Athena Linton’s heart skipped a beat. How could her goddess sister and brother be so perceptive? She truly didn’t know what to do.
"What could I possibly have on my mind? Just stop guessing. I secretly laughed because I suddenly remembered a joke I saw online." She refused to admit she had something on her mind. Could they force it out of her if she didn’t admit it?
"What joke did you see? Tell us so we can all have a laugh." Easton Holmes’ gaze pierced into Athena Linton, his face showing no clear expression.
