Chapter 1394: I Don’t Plan on Getting Divorced Again
Alice Turner originally thought it was Anthony joking around with her, but she didn’t expect that it would be Thomas Fisher. As she stood there dazed, he pulled her into the house, and once inside, he used his foot to shut the door.
"Alice! I’ve missed you so much."
The moment the door slammed shut, Thomas Fisher wrapped Alice Turner in his arms, and five years of longing suddenly poured out as he bent down and kissed her hard.
Alice Turner instinctively struggled, unsure if it was because Thomas Fisher was holding her too tightly or if she just wasn’t using all her strength to push him away. She struggled for a long time but couldn’t escape his embrace.
"Thomas Fisher! Are you addicted to being the other man?" Seizing the moment when his lips left hers, Alice Turner threw this hurtful remark at him.
She thought he would be angry and release her in fury, slamming the door as he left.
But...
Not only did Thomas Fisher not angrily leave and slam the door, he held Alice Turner even tighter. He looked down, staring at her without blinking, "I’m willing to be the other man for you, I’m ready to do anything for you."
After saying that, he bent down to kiss her again.
"But I don’t want to repeat the mistakes of five years ago." This time Alice Turner was prepared. As Thomas Fisher lowered his head to kiss her, she tilted her head to the side, avoiding his lips.
She didn’t want the events of five years ago to happen again. Whether for her or for him, it would only bring endless trouble and heartache and would disturb their families.
Thomas Fisher didn’t forcibly kiss her again, nor did he force Alice Turner to face him. He looked down at her, and although he could only see one side of her face, it didn’t affect his view of her.
"Alice! The events of five years ago won’t happen again. My mom won’t interfere in my matters anymore." As he spoke, his gaze remained fixed on hers, not missing the subtle changes in her facial expressions.
"Thomas Fisher! Are you pretending to be clueless on purpose, or are you deliberately teasing me?" Alice Turner turned her head to face Thomas Fisher, and the moment she looked at him, her expression had already adjusted to one of indifference, "I don’t want to have an affair with you anymore. Five years ago, I made a mistake once. I don’t want to repeat such a mistake five years later."
The events from five years ago affected both of them. She believed that the impact on him was the greatest because that man was his best brother.
Although she and that man had no feelings for each other and never had any intimate marital relations, she and that man were nominally husband and wife.
The relationship between her and him was ultimately morally impermissible, but five years ago, she hadn’t thought so much. She just followed her passionate and impulsive heart.
Recalling the events of five years ago, Thomas Fisher was also deeply saddened and regretful. He wasn’t sad and regretful about being with Alice Turner, but he was sad and regretful for not protecting her. He was more annoyed at himself for not handling things well.
If he had dealt with things properly, his mom wouldn’t have gone to her, and she wouldn’t have left without saying goodbye.
"Alice! I won’t let what happened five years ago happen again. You have to believe me. I will handle everything well." Now he was ready for everything, just waiting for her to come back and be with him properly.
"Thomas Fisher! Why can’t you understand what I’m saying? I have a husband, and I’m not planning to divorce him." Alice Turner’s face suddenly showed anger.
