Chapter 1395: In This Life, I’m Set on You
I have a husband, and I don’t plan to divorce again.
These words were like a sharp knife, deeply stabbing into Thomas Fisher’s heart. The sharp pain instantly spread from his heart to his entire body, causing his brow to furrow tightly.
"Alice Turner! I’m telling you clearly, in this life, I’ve decided it’s you. Whether you divorce or not, you’ll always be the only woman for me." He looked at her with absolute determination, his face leaving no room for doubt.
"You..."
Alice Turner was not angered by Thomas Fisher but was rather shocked by his domineering nature. She hadn’t expected him to be so persistent, nor so overbearing, leaving her at a loss for words.
Thomas Fisher glanced deeply at Alice Turner before withdrawing his hands and letting her go, "Go do your own thing, don’t mind me, I can take care of myself."
After saying this, he walked over and sat down on the sofa, looking very casual throughout the whole process.
"Thomas Fisher! You can’t just stay here like this. I don’t want my husband to misunderstand that there’s something between us." Alice Turner walked over, delivering a gentle yet hurtful indication to Thomas Fisher for him to leave.
Thomas Fisher’s heart was already aching, yet outwardly he smiled lightly, "Let him misunderstand then, I won’t mind and I won’t argue with him."
His inner monologue was, a misunderstanding would be good. If he could go back to Italy, that would be even better, so he could be with her always.
"You may not mind, but I do. I don’t want my husband to misunderstand me." Alice Turner intentionally emphasized the latter part, wanting Thomas Fisher to pay special attention to this fact, using these harsh words to upset him. She didn’t want any more entanglements with him.
Thomas Fisher took several deep breaths to keep himself from fainting out of anger. He leaned back on the sofa, crossing his legs, while raising his gaze to look at Alice Turner standing before him.
He didn’t utter a word, just quietly watched her, as if he were admiring a beautiful treasure, watching carefully, watching intently.
Alice Turner felt uncomfortable being watched so intently by the man and glared at him angrily. She turned sideways, bent down to pick up her laptop, and walked towards the door holding it.
However, midway through, she suddenly changed direction and walked towards the bed, sitting on the sofa with the laptop and started to work.
She initially intended to take the laptop to Anthony’s room, but midway she realized it wouldn’t be appropriate. As soon as she set foot outside, he’d follow right after.
The scene at the restaurant at noon was too stimulating; she didn’t want something like that to happen again.
Thomas Fisher’s gaze followed Alice Turner the whole time, observing her change of direction. He could probably guess why she suddenly changed her mind.
He didn’t speak up to say anything about it, remaining silently seated on the sofa, still quietly watching her.
Although Alice Turner’s eyes were fixed on the computer screen, she could feel that Thomas Fisher was still watching her. Being watched so silently made her feel really uncomfortable.
She really wanted to dig a big pit in the bed and hide inside, so she wouldn’t have to endure such torment.
Bzzzz! Bzzzz! Bzzzz!
As Alice Turner was enduring this agony, the phone in her pocket suddenly started buzzing.
