Chapter 1376: Stop Bottling It Up
Lily Turner chatted with William Turner for a while, and after seeing that William’s mood was gradually calming down, she felt reassured enough to leave his room and go downstairs.
Originally, she intended to come in and say a quick hello to her parents before heading home, but upon entering, she was surprised to see Easton Holmes there as well. She truly hadn’t expected him to be there.
"Easton came to take you home."
Before Easton Holmes had a chance to speak, Christopher Turner, sitting not far away, answered on his behalf.
Lily Turner glanced at Easton Holmes, and from his expression, she saw a slightly different answer. However, she didn’t continue asking questions. Instead, she went over and sat beside him, "How long have you been here?"
Could it be that he arrived just after she went upstairs? She had been upstairs for quite some time.
"I’ve only been here for a short while." Easton Holmes tilted his head to look at Lily Turner, who had just sat beside him, and asked, "Is William okay?"
He was skeptical about his father-in-law’s answer, knowing his own wife wouldn’t lie to him.
Lily Turner honestly informed him, "He’s much better now than he was at the start."
Initially, he seemed restless and uneasy. Before she went downstairs, her brother was much calmer, though he still felt somewhat uncomfortable inside.
Hearing Lily Turner speak this way, Sophia Wood’s tense mood gradually relaxed, but she didn’t say anything and didn’t continue questioning Lily Turner.
"I told you a boy would be fine," Christopher Turner couldn’t remain silent and deliberately responded to prove that he hadn’t been wrong earlier.
Lily Turner looked at Christopher and then at Sophia. She formed the intention to leave, "Dad! Mom! We’re heading home now; Athena and the others are still there."
After speaking, she pulled the man beside her up to stand.
Seeing this, Sophia Wood and Christopher Turner stood up as well, but they weren’t trying to keep them. Instead, the couple wanted to see them off.
"Then hurry back," Sophia Wood urged them to leave, not asking them to stay. Right now, everyone at home is surely worried about that girl, so her three precious grandchildren might be overlooked.
Christopher Turner followed up, "Tell your grandpa and uncles and aunts that William is completely fine here. They don’t need to come and apologize; we’re all family, no need for formalities."
Forget the apology; if it’s about something else, he would welcome it with both hands.
"I will definitely convey your message to them when we get back," Easton Holmes understood Christopher Turner’s meaning and specifically responded to him. Then, he led Lily Turner away.
"If you have something to say, just say it, don’t hold back any longer," Easton Holmes had noticed that Lily Turner had something she wanted to discuss with him alone while they were inside. Just after getting into the car, he proactively reminded her.
Lily Turner was used to Easton Holmes’s astuteness; she wasn’t surprised at all. She turned to face him directly, getting straight to the point, "William likes Athena."
After speaking, she stared at him without blinking, waiting to see his reaction.
"So what does William mean? Does he want to marry Athena?" Easton Holmes wasn’t surprised at all. His demeanor was very calm, as if he had already known about this matter.
Lily Turner expected Easton Holmes to be surprised, but she had never thought he would be so calm. From her understanding of him, he must have known beforehand. She rolled her eyes at him in displeasure, "Do you think Athena would agree to marry William?"
