After finding out that Thomas Fisher and Evelyn Taylor were pretending to be a couple yesterday, Autumn York barely slept all night. Without any appetite, she got up in the morning and drove to the Taylor Family residence without having breakfast.

She felt she should apologize to Evelyn and her family. When she went over to express her apologies, she received a piece of news that was quite unexpected.

The Taylor Family had already known about the fake relationship before she did, and, surprisingly, it was Evelyn who suggested the fake relationship.

Upon hearing this information, Autumn’s feelings of guilt were replaced with astonishment. Last night, when she learned about this, she had assumed it was Thomas who had proposed and planned the whole thing, but now she understood it wasn’t like that.

She felt a sense of guilt towards her own son. After leaving the Taylor residence, she drove to the company, filled with remorse, looking for her son. However, when she arrived at the company, her son was nowhere to be seen. The secretary informed her that the boss hadn’t come in today and couldn’t be reached by phone either.

Upon hearing this, Autumn’s anger flared up. Without a moment’s delay, she left the company and headed straight to Thomas Fisher’s private apartment.

Thomas, just woken up, was completely unaware of what had transpired this morning. However, from his mother’s questioning tone, he could tell she was very angry.

"Do whatever you want. I’m going inside to change." He glanced at his angry mother and turned to head to his room.

Thomas, feeling groggy and not in the mood to listen to his mom’s nagging, thought he might end up saying some unpleasant things if he didn’t hold back, which would make his life even more difficult later on.

He decided to avoid conflict and endure it as much as possible. After all, he was a grown man and shouldn’t bicker with a woman, especially not with his own mother. He held his tongue to avoid embarrassment.

Autumn was taken aback by Thomas’s reaction and stood frozen on the spot. By the time she collected her thoughts, she saw her son had already walked into his room.

Little brat! I’ll just stand here and wait for you. Let’s see if you can dodge me forever.

Autumn stood her ground firmly, staring unblinkingly at the door, her face a picture of resolve.

Inside, Thomas was oblivious to all this. He didn’t have the energy to speculate what his mother might do. After closing the door, he headed straight to the bathroom. The stench of alcohol on him made him feel uncomfortable.

After taking a shower, Thomas felt refreshed and much more comfortable. He changed into a clean set of clothes and walked out of the room, looking neat and bright.

As soon as he opened the door, he spotted his mother standing not far away. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he closed the bedroom door and walked towards her.

Having just showered, Thomas looked much more invigorated, with the previous drunken and somewhat disheveled appearance gone.

When she saw that her son had showered and changed, Autumn’s dissatisfaction and anger lessened considerably. Her gaze at her son softened. "Is your stomach feeling uncomfortable now? I’ll make you some hangover soup."

With that, she was about to head to the kitchen to make hangover soup for her son.

"...I don’t have anything here, let’s just go out to eat something." Surprised by how quickly his mother changed her attitude, Thomas was momentarily stunned before speaking.
