Chapter 1348: Here for Love (Part 1)
Thomas Fisher and Autumn York left the apartment together. He originally thought his mom would follow him to continue nagging, but what Thomas didn’t expect was that after coming downstairs, his mom gave him a few reminders and then drove off on her own.
Watching the car speed away, Thomas stood there in surprise for a while. It wasn’t until the car disappeared from his sight that he turned around and got into his own car.
Not being scolded or nagged by his mom during the day, Thomas thought he surely wouldn’t escape it when he got home at night. But to his surprise, when he returned home in the evening, not only did his mom not nag or scold him, but she also kept fussing over him with care.

Autumn’s sudden change in attitude left Thomas bewildered, yet he didn’t feel optimistic. He thought his mom might explode again at any time.
However, the following days were very peaceful. His mom didn’t scold or nag him, nor did she pressure him into going on blind dates, continuing to fuss over him with care.
One week passed with no change, two weeks still unchanged, and even after more than a month, nothing changed.
This time, Thomas couldn’t stay calm. He had no idea what his mom was up to. After so many years of outsmarting each other, this situation was a first. It didn’t seem logical to him.
Although puzzled, Thomas wasn’t foolish enough to confront his mom about the reason, but he also didn’t dare let his guard down, always wary of his mom doing something unexpected.
Another month passed, with Autumn still not forcing Thomas to go on blind dates and maintaining a good attitude towards him. Her control over him seemed much more relaxed than before.
Seeing that his mom showed no signs of reverting back, Thomas gradually let his guard down and wasn’t as cautious of her. He no longer deliberately hid his whereabouts from his mom.
Due to the silent change in interaction style and attitude between Autumn and Thomas, the tense relationship between the mother and son over the past few years greatly eased and was moving towards a more harmonious trend.
Cedric Fisher saw the relationship between the mother and son quietly improving and felt joy in his heart, believing that his efforts were not in vain.
If this trend continued, he believed the relationship between mother and son would surely be restored to its original state.
It definitely would! He was confident that day wouldn’t be far off.
Without those worrying issues, Thomas’s overall state was particularly good, and he was very diligent and focused on his work.
After more than two months of peaceful days, things were once again stirred up by the arrival of someone.
Athena Linton, after graduating from university, came from Golden Morning to Flame City. She had made up her mind before coming that she wanted to work at Thomas Fisher’s company.
The main reason she joined Thomas’s company was for him, although she appeared to join just for the work. Her true intentions wouldn’t be revealed until the critical moment.
Unaware, Thomas offered special attention to Athena, assigning her directly to the senior secretariat as soon as she joined the company, making her his secretary. He already had a secretary and didn’t actually need another one, but to avoid his big brother worrying that his sister might be wronged, he had to pretend to be short of a secretary.
Athena joining the company wasn’t to earn money or advance her career. Her sole purpose was to win over the man she had a crush on for many years, and what Thomas did was exactly what she wished for.
