Thomas Fisher and Alice Turner had a standoff for a while, but he eventually conceded. He couldn’t bear to see her hungry, and even less to see her angry.

He let go of her leg but remained seated closely beside her, showing no intention of getting up and leaving.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do you want to eat me?" Seeing her glaring at him angrily without any intention of eating, he cheekily moved closer to her, "I’m more than happy to be eaten by you."

As he leaned into her, the mischievous grin on his face grew even more audacious.

"Shameless!"

Alice Turner pushed away the man who was grinning wickedly beside her, attempting to scoot further away, but she was already at the very edge of the sofa. Any further, and she would end up sitting on the armrest.

Thomas Fisher noticed her little intention to dodge him but took no action. Outwardly, that is; he was inwardly prepared for her to suddenly get up and evade.

"Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. Hurry and eat before it gets cold." He moved the meal box he was holding closer to her for convenience.

"Then you should hurry back to eat, too. Don’t linger here anymore." Alice Turner didn’t argue with Thomas Fisher this time. She reached out and took the meal box he was holding, bluntly telling him to leave.

Thomas Fisher, having finally gotten inside, wasn’t about to leave so easily. He gestured at the lunch Alice took, "My meal is with yours."

He had bought a portion meant for two and deliberately put them together, never intending to eat separately from her.

"Then go get a bowl, and I’ll divide the food for you." Alice followed Thomas’s gesture and looked down, only to realize there was quite a lot of food, far more than she could eat alone.

Thomas shook his head, "No need, I’ll eat after you’re full."

If he’d planned to eat separately, he would’ve asked the waiter to split the food when buying.

Alice looked at the full meal box and then at Thomas again but said nothing further. She used a spoon to divide the food in the box into two, picking the smaller portion to eat.

Throughout the process, Thomas was observing, missing no detail. He didn’t comment on her actions, simply acting as a silent onlooker.

He watched her divide the food and eat the smaller portion. Seeing her eating with relish, he felt much more content.

Wanting not to disturb Alice while she ate, Thomas took out his phone from his pocket and began playing with it, keeping to himself.

Seeing he wasn’t watching her anymore helped her relax her tense nerves, making her mealtime much more casual and at ease.

Perhaps she was truly hungry, or it was her favorite meal—Alice ate voraciously and quickly, finishing her part in no time.

"I’m full; the rest is yours." She thrust the meal box into his hands, refraining from fussily asking him to go to his own room because she knew it would be pointless—he wouldn’t leave obediently even if she asked.

"Did you really fill up on just that little? More..."

Ding-dong! Ding-dong! Ding-dong!

Just then, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Both Alice and Thomas turned their heads toward the door in perfect harmony, both simultaneously thinking the person outside ringing the bell was Anthony.
