After William Turner went upstairs to his room, he lay on the bed facing the ceiling, staring blankly at it. His mind was filled with scenes from last night, and the more he thought about it, the more irritable he became.

Bang, bang, bang!

Upon hearing the knock on the door, William Turner instinctively withdrew his gaze from the ceiling and slowly tilted his head towards the door of his room.

The door was not closed, and after Lily Turner knocked, she walked over to her brother lying on the bed. "What are you thinking about so deeply?"

She had been standing at the door for quite a while, yet her brother didn’t react at all. She had to knock on the door to remind him, lest her sudden appearance annoy her already irritable brother.

"Second sister!"

Seeing that it was his second sister, William Turner breathed a sigh of relief and sat up on the bed.

Lily Turner glanced at her brother, and upon approaching, sat down beside him. She stared at her brother for a moment before hesitantly speaking, "Are you, do you like Athena?"

She continued to stare at her brother, wanting to hear the answer directly from him.

"...Mm!" William Turner was momentarily stunned, then seriously nodded.

Although Lily Turner had guessed this, hearing William Turner admit it still surprised her. Even more surprising was that he actually admitted it openly.

"When did you start liking her? Has it been a long time?" Knowing her brother liked his sister-in-law, she thought about them attending the same school. If her guess was correct, her brother must have started liking her sister-in-law during that time.

"Mm!" William Turner still only nodded without saying another word.

Lily Turner didn’t continue probing when exactly it started; knowing William Turner liked Athena was enough. She knew he was in a bad mood right now, not suitable for too much questioning.

"Second sister! Did you and brother-in-law know about her liking Thomas long ago?" Lily Turner stopped asking questions, but William Turner began to inquire.

William Turner’s sudden question took Lily Turner by surprise. She paused before responding, "Not very long, just found out months ago when she went to work at Thomas Fisher’s company."

Her brother had been honest with her, so she had no reason to lie to him.

"She knows Thomas likes eldest sister, yet she still did that, she..."

"She just acted impulsively and made a mistake."

Before William Turner could finish, Lily Turner interjected, knowing that ever since Athena did what she did last night, that was what she believed—that Athena had acted on impulse.

She had known her sister-in-law for several years, and although not too thoroughly, she had a good sense of what kind of person her sister-in-law was.

William Turner also believed this, but he found it difficult to accept at the moment. It wasn’t that he couldn’t accept anything else, but he couldn’t accept that Athena mistook him for Thomas Fisher.

"I hope she won’t act impulsively like that anymore. This time the lesson must have been profound." Thinking about what happened last night, his feelings were extremely complicated. So complicated that he didn’t know what his heart felt.

"She definitely won’t be confused again in future." Lily Turner reached out and patted William Turner’s back, comforting his complex emotions.
