Chapter 1436: We’ve Met Before
The question Lily Turner asked was exactly the information Sophia Wood most wanted to know and understand. She slightly turned towards the three, waiting to hear Alice Turner’s answer.
"Hello! I’m Anthony, Alice’s younger brother." Before Alice could speak, Anthony had already introduced himself ahead of her.
"Younger brother?!"
"Younger brother?!"
As soon as Anthony finished speaking, Lily Turner and Sophia Wood exclaimed in unison.
Seeing the mother and daughter react so dramatically, Anthony was quite puzzled, "Why are you two so surprised? Am I not worthy of being Alice’s younger brother?"

"He is our boss’s son, and the young master of the company I work for, but this young master always treats me like an older sister." When Alice Turner brought Anthony in to meet Sophia Wood earlier, she could tell from her mom’s eyes that she was overthinking.
And now, seeing this again, she’s sure her mom has misunderstood, and her younger sister is following suit.
Anthony immediately objected: "Sis! When have I ever bossed you around? You’re the talent my dad values most, and my dearest sister. How could I possibly boss around my sister?"
He believed he had never bossed this sister around. In his eyes and heart, she was his sister, like a real sister.
"Touch your conscience when you say that." Alice Turner pointed to Anthony’s heart, implying that he was speaking against his conscience.
Anthony understood her meaning, but pretended not to. He chuckled naively, "What’s a conscience? Please explain!"
As he spoke, he leaned closer, looking eager to learn.
"Move over and stop joking."
Alice Turner could clearly see Anthony was pretending, so she pushed him away as he leaned closer. After pushing him aside, she turned her gaze to Sophia Wood and Lily Turner.
At this moment, she realized her mom and sister were watching her and him with a probing expression. Her heart skipped a beat, knowing the misunderstanding between them was deepening.
Seeing Alice looking over, Lily Turner asked, "Sis! Does Thomas Fisher know you are back?"
As she asked, she deliberately raised her voice to catch her sister and Anthony’s attention.
"We’ve already met Mr. Fisher. He..."
"Their company wants to collaborate with ours, and we met yesterday."
Before Lily Turner could finish speaking, Anthony blurted out. But before he could finish his sentence, Alice Turner interrupted him.
"You’ve already met Thomas?!"
Lily and Sophia were very surprised by the fact that Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher had met, especially Sophia, who felt utterly amazed.
Alice Turner knew Sophia Wood and Lily Turner were very surprised and understood exactly what they were surprised about. She took a deep breath, calmed herself down, and nodded towards them: "We’ve met."
