Raydor Holy Sword War Journal

114. The Fate of Heroes

"... let's get back to the story. Returning the territory you took and getting out of the kingdom of Zayn means I'm in charge of this country, right?

"Oh, that's right. I'll leave the protection of the Western Continent to you. Try not to let the witches do it."

Zacharius continued laughing.

"There are two roles I want from you. Protecting people from witch invasion. And search for the missing sword. The legend says there are twelve holy swords, but only seven are known to be located. I want to find the remaining five for the coming battle."

Seven holy swords confirmed to exist. I've heard of Raydol.

Dar Inn Slave owned by the Kingdom of Zain. Three books owned by the Empire. And the force called "Twelve Holy Mosques", which also appeared in the story of Zacharius earlier, owns two holy swords.

Although it was the only book left, it was said to be owned by a country called "Laurent Capital" at the eastern end of the continent.

"Five missing Holy Swords... is it that easy to find?

"If possible, the southern part of the continent is densely populated with veterinarian and subhuman countries. And the countries further west of the kingdom of Zain. It is also thought to be an island country in the Far East, further east of Lauran capital....."

"Hmm...."

Reidor imagines a map of the western part of the continent centered around the Kingdom of Zain.

It was the kingdom of Zain on the continent's central and western borders, but in fact it was not only the Alsline Empire that faced the border. On the western side of the kingdom are a number of small nations separated by mountain ranges.

There was only a small deal with the small western nations, and the presence or absence of the Holy Sword was not known.

"No way... you're not going to march on the small western nations to find the Holy Sword?

"Haha, if the kingdom of Zain has the leeway, that's fine! Well, I'll leave it to you. Prerequisites don't matter if all the witches end up dead!

…………

Raidor silences with a bitter face. Suddenly too much information is given to organize, confusing the mind.

The missing Holy Sword to resurrect the witch.

What am I supposed to do with such a fairy tale problem?

Leidor, all that matters is getting rid of the Empire and settle with your brother.

Why, then, should we be brought into such an important issue as the world crisis?

(Told the customer that it was a big story again. It seemed like a brotherly fight between me and my brother was missing.....)

Raydol raised his lips to ridicule himself.

Return what was stolen in return for those who banished themselves.

I wonder why the problem comes from next to next, even though I once again have the Holy Sword.

Or maybe this is what makes it great.

Is it because my power is recognized by the public that I have embraced a lot of things?

"... that's irrational. No, it's not just the beginning."

"What kind of life is that? Don't think a man chosen by the Holy Sword can end his life in peace and security."

Seeing Raydol's face mourning the world's insanity, Zacharius laughed joyfully as if he had finally noticed.

"The world is unreasonable and relentless. But... we have the Holy Sword. You're not trampled on unilaterally as a weak man, you're only entitled to resist the irrational world as a strong man."

"... that's an implicit word. I'm impressed."

In the words of a man who could be called the King of Champions, Raidor suppressed his forehead to endure a headache.

Zacharius is right, even if he triumphs over his brother King, he will not return to Leidor for days of peace.

Raydol's battle for vengeance was already beyond the bounds of brotherhood. We've got the country, we've got a lot of people involved.

And once he defeated the Imperial Army and survived a duel with the world's most powerful man, the name of the new hero Raydol Zain will roar across the continent.

No matter how irrational it gets, we will no longer have to face it without fleeing.

Because it is the destiny of those who have been chosen by the Holy Sword, and the destiny of heroes who have been entrusted with the destiny of world salvation.
