Raydor Holy Sword War Journal
9. Holy Sword Holder
"I guess you're willing to explain the situation."
Raydor asks in a bottom-cold voice.
It is not the former gentle and serene childhood tame in front of Meltina. He is an unreliable man who has continued to fight demons in a pioneering city on the border. The killing spirit was sharp enough to sting the skin.
As a matter of fact, Mertina's escorts, who should be accustomed to rough things, are still vigilant so that they can move at any time to fulfill their mission of escort.
"Of course it is. I would love to hear it from Your Highness."
But - there's no sentiment of fear in Mertina's face, which should be pointing that killer head-on. With a smile on his face, he looks back at Raydor with perseverance.
(Heh... you're a bigger woman than I thought. You misjudged me)
To Mertina, who never changes her expression, Raydor revisits her ratings.
Even if you think about it, Meltina is the daughter who once sent herself out into exile without changing one expression. In that mind I couldn't even read it like five years ago.
Raydor took a deep breath to suppress the anger emotions that boiled down, encouraging the conversation to continue with his eyes.
"Right now, our country is facing a major crisis… Your Highness, do you know anything about the Alsline Empire in the East?
"There's no way I don't know. A big country in the middle of the continent, isn't it?
"That empire has declared war on the kingdom of Zayn. It's been two weeks since the battlefield was cut off."
"Huh?"
Raydor asked back unexpectedly. Because it was unexpected information that came out of Meltina's mouth.
The Alsline Empire, the champion of the centre of the continent, is a power more than ten times the size of the territory and the power of the kingdom of Zayn.
The Empire had established the reunification of the continent by force as the guiding principle of the nation, and had crossed spears with the Kingdom of Zayn several times in the past.
But - because the Alsline Empire is a great power but therefore has enemies on all sides, it could not send enough troops to destroy the kingdom of Zayn, and most of the battles should have ended to the extent of skirmishes.
"It's the usual power reconnaissance this time anyway, right? Isn't that too much to say about the crisis in the country?
"Unfortunately, this time it seems that we are seriously going to destroy our country......... because the enemy seems to have a Holy Sword holder"
"Holy Sword!?"
Raydor accidentally raised his voice to a word he would not listen to. It is a fundamental change in the life of a young prince.
A holy sword is a sacred instrument supposedly given to man by God in the age of mythology, and there are supposedly twelve on earth.
It was one of them that was owned by the Kingdom of Zayn and "Darin Slave" chosen by Raydor as Holy Sword Holder "Excalibur Holder.
Surprisingly eye-opening Raydor, Mertina continues her explanation in a pale tone.
"The Alsline Empire possesses three holy swords. And… now we have information that the holder has appeared in all three copies"
"All of it!? What a..."
A holy sword is not something anyone can use. It is only permissible to possess by the will of God or by those chosen by destiny.
It was not uncommon for the holder not to appear for more than a hundred years, as Darinslave's users did not last appear the first king of the kingdom of Zayn.
That's three people in one era. Together, Raydor would mean that all four of them showed up.
(I can read the story... oh, shit! Something unsolicited......!
Raydor covers his face with his right hand and shivers his fist in fierce rage.
I could have anticipated the continuation of Martina's words. That was so selfish, I just thought I was making fun of this one.
"His Royal Highness King Raidor's brother. Please come back to the King's Capital to take Darin Slave and defeat the Holy Sword Holder of the Empire to save the Kingdom."
Taking the word as expected, Raydor slapped his fist on the table with all his might.
