Raydor Holy Sword War Journal

22. Brothers face to face

The next day, Raydor headed to the Royal Palace with a civilian who picked him up from the Royal Palace. To behold Granard, his brother, who became king.

Sometimes the sight with the king meant that the maid, Namilia, could not be taken and was to be left in the mansion.

But in the shadow of Raydor for a time of need was lurking the shadow demon created by Namilia, who was supposed to provide cover for his escape from the castle in the event of a havoc.

"Thank you for waiting. Then come and see me."

Raydor was waiting in the reception room until Granard was ready, but after a while he was passed through until he saw it.

"His Royal Highness King Raydor Zain is here."

When Raydor walked in between his glances, there was a man sitting on the throne at the bottom of the room.

Nearby subordinates are lined up on the left and right, pointing anxiety, hope, hostility, confusion, and various emotions towards Raydor.

…………

Raydor proceeded silently to the front of the throne, kneeling on one knee and bowing his head.

"Raise your face. Raydor."

"Ha."

Granard says in a harsh tone, Raydor lifts his head according to his brother's words.

Ahead of looking up, the man sitting a step higher than Raydor is Granard Zain.

He is the belly brother of Raydor and Teng himself who banished his brother from the king's capital, who became the holder of the holy sword Darin Slave.

(... have you lost a little weight)

Raydor blurred to his head as he laid back on the throne and turned his gaze to Granard, who looked down at this one.

My older brother, ten years old, looks a little more twisted than he remembers Raydor, and he's starting to mix things up a little white on his head as well.

(Kings are a much harder profession. I didn't know that brother had young gray hair)

Raydor waits for the king's word, in the face of a grin about to come to his mouth with a couscous.

Granard often looked down at Raydor silently, but eventually opened his mouth strictly.

"Well done, Raydor. You're here. My brother."

"Ha, it's been a while. Your Majesty."

"Pfft... don't talk to me the other way. Even if we are kings, we are only two brothers. You just have to call me like you used to."

"Really, then sweet for your words... brother"

Ugh, and Raydor breathes and suppresses his mind that he's about to dawn.

(You think it's other people's behavior? You think they're just two brothers? leave that brother in exile without question and whisper what)

"I'm so sorry I couldn't attend your father's funeral. Forgive me for my helpless brother, who could not support me."

"It's okay. You have done a brilliant job of keeping demons down in the pioneering cities of the south. You've reached the King's Capital for the first time. That's my brother."

"It's a waste of time"

Raydor and Granard. The two brothers continue their conversation in a flamboyant manner with a grin on their mouths.

The minister watching around anticipated that the reunion of the deported brother prince and brother king would be a sarcastic slaughter, but he caressed his chest when he saw the two conversations soothingly.

But only Rockwood Marcel, the prime minister, had a sinister look as if he had bitten the dirt.

(Oh, my God. I didn't mean for the two of us to be so screwed up)

I haven't noticed most of the ministers watching, but neither Granard, who is sitting on the throne earlier, nor Raydor, who is on his knees before him, is laughing at all.

No matter how soft the tone of the conversation is, both eyes are exfoliating hostility, staring at them to slash them.

(It is within the bounds of assumption that His Highness Raydor resents His Majesty the King. But I didn't expect even His Majesty to have such refracted feelings towards His Highness...)

He was a living Granard as the first prince of his predecessor Bernard, but he had a deep respect for the first king, who had been Holy Sword Holder since his childhood.

All the same, I want to be chosen by the Holy Sword to lead my country to further prosperity as an ancestor of Zhongxing - I have been educated as Prince Wang with such ambition.

Lockwood, who stood beside him, was aware that Granard was jealous of Raydor, who became the holder of the Holy Sword Der Inslave.

Raidor's deportation to the border was also not solely for the purpose of preventing the country from cracking between the First Prince, who is in government on behalf of the king of the hospital bed, and the Second Prince, who became Holy Sword Holder.

One of the causes was the flames of dark paranoia that burned in Granard's heart.

(Still... His Majesty the King passed away and His Majesty Granard took power, and His Majesty's status was so stoned that no succession dispute could already be fought. I thought the resentment towards His Highness Raydor had cleared up somewhat...)

Apparently, Granard's aversion and jealousy are far deeper than Lockwood would have imagined.

And - no doubt, Raydor is also noticing that black emotion again.

My brother, who banished himself, still hates me. After a clear sense of the matter, you must be returning the look of hostility.

(Once upon a time...... can this make His Royal Highness Raydor flexibly fight the Empire? And after winning the battle against the Empire and saving the country's catastrophe, can we bring our brothers together in a full circle?

There's no way I can do that. Somewhere in his mind he thought so, Lockwood swallowed the spit of tension gobbly.
