Raydor Holy Sword War Journal
49. Two loyal ministers
The battle over Fortress Blaine was won by the kingdom of Zain by the power of Raydor and the Holy Sword Der Inslave.
This led to the Alsline Empire Western invading forces retreating to the border Fortress of Balmes, and for once the Kingdom of Zayn survived the crisis of doom.
The Royal Zayn Army cited the great Venus of capturing Ceilia Alsline, the Imperial Empress, as a prisoner.
The information instantly spread to the Wang capital. Until then he was a resident of the king's capital, which had sunk dark in the losing mood, but boiled back in festivities at the news of the victory that had sprung up when he had descended.
"Ha ha, you fucking empire!
"Long live the Kingdom of Zayn! Long live His Majesty Granard!
"No, no, this will work for His Highness Raydor! That's the hero of the Holy Sword!
It is still the name of Raidor Zain, Holy Sword Holder, who rises to the mouth of the inhabitants of the King's capital boiling in joy.
On receiving reports of the Royal Army's victory, Granard tried to hide Raydor's presence by issuing a decree about his brother's activities.
The Kingdom's victory was due to the activism of General Basel Garst and, more importantly, to the exploitation of his lord, King Granard Zain. I tried to do the information manipulation that way.
But there's no way a soldier who actually fought on the battlefield can keep his mouth shut.
They saw two holy swords collide in battle: Darinslave and Klausorus. There's no way they could hide the living legend they saw as witnesses to the myth.
"This is just the story here," he prefaced, "don't tell anyone," and so on, Raydor's activism was known throughout the kingdom in a matter of days.
That's how the opportunity came once again for Raydor and Granard to face each other as the entire Wang capital rejoiced and fussed over the advent of a new hero.
"... this battle was truly brilliant. Send praise."
"Ha, it's an honor. Brother."
Granard tells Raydor on his knees with a picturesque look on the top of the Buddha. Raydor also responded to his brother's words with a mocking grin all the time about how it was.
"I've already heard how it worked. We've defeated the enemy's army and captured more Clausoras users. Right?
"Yes, this is all due to the glory of my brother. My activity and other insignificant things"
Both the praiseworthy Granard and the humble Raydor share their gaze so as to restrain each other in the opposite direction from each other's words.
Seeing those two on the side, Chancellor Lockwood Marcel, General Basel Garst sighed side by side.
"These two..."
"Never again. Give it up, Rockwood."
Bazelle crumbles to a lockwood that keeps your forehead down for a headache.
"But... you two can't settle forever like this, can you? If they can support each other, this country..."
"There is a stream in the world that can't be helped. If we wanted to reconcile them, we should have taken action sooner."
They were once the two involved in the exile of Raydor, but they wanted to see when and recall Raydor to the king's capital.
When the Predecessor was in the hospital bed, he really had to sacrifice Raydor to avoid a succession struggle, but if Granard stood as king, no one would try to lift Raydor.
With his track record as king, Granard should also be able to abandon his inferiority towards Raydor and treat him as a brother, as he once was.
That's what I was thinking...
(It was also pretended by the invasion of the Empire)
The invasion of the Empire led to the forced recall of Raydor, who unilaterally ordered the battle without even reconciliation.
The crack between the two will no longer be decisive, such as returning to a close brother.
"Those two will fight sooner or later... and your lord will be ready."
"... General Garst, I'm guessing you're not going to follow His Highness Raydor, are you?
Lockwood questioned with suspicion the General, who looked oddly enlightened.
Garst nods "Hmm" as he strokes his white beard.
"Either those two win, I only pierce my loyalty as a samurai. If His Royal Highness Raydor had won, I would leave that to my son..."
"... Isn't the loyalty of a samurai dedicated to the king?
"My chest hurts when you say that."
Garst grinned bitterly and shrugged his shoulder.
"It would be nice if it were normal. I don't even think the Empire will give up in one defeat. Our army cannot speak out in politics to avoid the loss of force."
…………
"Don't stare at me like that. The race has already been thrown. There's not much I or your lord can do."
Turning away from Lockwood, who stared sideways, Garst turned his eyes to the master in front of him.
"I never humble myself. Everyone will admit that you, chosen as the Holy Sword, are only good at battle."
"That's the kind of brother that looks great on the throne, right? It will be easy for you to just sit there and defeat the Empire without doing anything. No, not at all. That's a good name for a king not to have to do anything about his country."
As always, the two royal families are rewarded with disgust with a face like Nobu's.
The general closed his eyes softly after seeing an exchange too gloomy to speak of a brotherly fight.
