William left the academy and came to the bustling area of the city of Vance.

Although it was already nighttime, there was no lack of people on the roads.

Bright lights illuminated the entire city as different kinds of stalls decorated the market, with vendors loudly shouting to promote their goods.

Carriages were going in and out of the city one after another through the wide roads, while people were lively walking along the side streets.

Though it was not the first time William had seen such a scene, he still found it a bit unfamiliar after spending time in Rosco Barony, where everything would become quiet once night arrived.

Shaking his head, William hailed a carriage and told the driver to head to Mist Mountain.

As the carriage glided through the wide road, William looked out through the carriage window.

His gaze passed through many tall buildings and towers, and behind them, he could vaguely see the silhouette of a tall mountain.

The mountain was Mist Mountain, a natural mountain located on the eastern outskirts of the city of Vance.

The River Sorkan flowed down from the top of the mountain, and because of the large waterfall and the natural environment surrounding the mountain, half of the mountain would be hidden behind flowing mist every morning.

The name Mist Mountain also came from this phenomenon.

The area around Mist Mountain was highly developed, and it was one of the most famous tourist spots in the city of Vance, with many nobles having their mansions in the area.

After around half an hour of travel, William reached his destination, and the carriage slowly came to a stop.

Stepping out, William paid the fare and looked at the tall mountain before him.

A circular path had been created around the mountain, leading directly to its top. Green grass and patches of flowers were planted along the sides of the path, making the environment around the mountain exceptionally pleasant.

The River Sorkan flowed down from the top of the mountain, and because of the circular path, people could watch the waterfall from very close range while going up or coming down.

There were still a lot of people going back and forth on the mountain, and the area was very lively.

William looked at the familiar place in front of him before stepping forward and beginning to move.

The loud sound of falling water from the waterfall instantly reached his ears, drowning out every other noise from the surroundings.

Moving quickly, William reached the middle of the mountain in just a few minutes.

There were many sections of the mountain that had been cut down and turned into resting or viewing spots.

William didn’t go to the top. After reaching the middle area, he searched for a few minutes before finally finding what he was looking for.

He jumped over the safety fence and fell into a hollow section of the mountain.

Although there were some people nearby, no one noticed William jumping over the safety fence, so it didn’t cause any commotion.

After safly landing, William walked deeper into the hollow part and soon reached its end.

From here, William could see the falling waterfall right in front of him.

Moreover, because of the mist rising from the falling waterfall, no one could see this cave-like hollow part even while moving along the circular path.

What was even more surprising was that the mist did not obscure the vision of a person standing at the edge of the cave. Not only that, even the loud sound of the waterfall became very gentle here, no longer making one’s ears ring.

William knew it was all because of the arrays Vivian had laid out here, as this was a place she had created herself.

William sat down at the edge and stared at the falling waterfall, his eyes somewhat unfocused as he recalled the memories of the original timeline.

This place held special meaning for him because it was where he had met Vivian for the first time.

The way he had found this place was rather ridiculous.

He had come to visit Mist Mountain after hearing a lot about it.

But he had accidentally dropped a silver coin while climbing the mountain. At that time, a silver coin was practically his lifeblood, so he had desperately tried to catch it and ended up falling into the hollow part, where he discovered this place.

Vivian happened to be here at the time as well, and as William recalled the subsequent events, he couldn’t help but shiver slightly.

’Maybe Professor Norman wasn’t completely wrong, and she does have some potential to become a psycho.’

It wasn’t that he was going back on his earlier words. It was just that thinking about how he had nearly been killed by her simply because he had entered this place with dirty shoes made him somewhat speechless.

’Good thing she was in a good mood at that time, or I might have really left this world at a young age.’

After that event, it took quite some time before he met Vivian again, and the situation was very different at that time.

Remembering one event after another that had happened afterward, a smile couldn’t help but appear on his face.

But suddenly, he remembered one of the events that had happened just before he had met Vivian for the second time, and his eyes narrowed.

’Many things have changed in this timeline, and Vivian also has memories of herself from the original timeline. I wonder if she will encounter that accident again in this life...’

Remembering what had happened at that time, William couldn’t help but shudder and touch his neck with a lingering sense of fear and embarrassment.

’Damn it, that is the biggest shame of my life.’

"What are you thinking about?"

Just as he was lost in thought, a voice sounded from behind him.

"Maybe she is really a psycho..." William, who was lost in thought answered subconsciously.

But the next instant, his mind went blank, and he stiffly turned his head.

As his head turned around, his eyes immediately met the glowing red eyes of Vivian.
