Ah Li was indeed a smart person, and in just a few words, she clarified the reason for her visit to Jiang Xue today, making Jin Hao feel much more at ease.
They exchanged a few words and then hung up. Both Jin Hao and Ah Li had achieved their respective goals. After ending the call with Jin Hao, Ah Li’s eyes flickered.
It seems Jin Hao didn’t trust her as much as he appeared to. This would make Jiang Xue’s future situation even more dangerous.
Thinking this, Ah Li then called Jiang Xue to inform her about Jin Hao placing surveillance outside the hotel.
Jiang Xue already knew about Jin Hao’s surveillance arrangements. However, she didn’t expect him to be this distrustful of Ah Li as well. It seemed she would have to be more cautious in the future to avoid getting caught by Jin Hao, which would be dangerous for both her and Ah Li.
After hanging up the call with Ah Li, Jiang Xue stayed in the room for a while, then went to the space. Not knowing when Jin Hao might lose his mind, she decided to prepare food for the child. In case she couldn’t enter the space, Little Fox could help heat it up and it would be ready to eat.
In the space, after preparing the food for the child, Jiang Xue went to the cave to make some pills, then took them out of the space.
Coming outside, Jiang Xue saw that it was still early, so she lay on the bed and took a nap. As she slept, it turned to evening. Dinner was brought to her room, and after eating, she found she had nothing to do, so she decided to visit the hotel’s entertainment area.
Upon entering the hotel’s small bar, Jiang Xue ordered a glass of red wine and slowly sipped it alone. Just then, a man approached her, surprised to say, "Miss Jiang, what are you doing here?"
Jiang Xue looked closely and realized the man in front of her was Pete, the one who had expressed admiration for her at Jin Hao’s party.
"I’m staying at this hotel, just happened to have some free time, so I came to take a look," Jiang Xue said with a smile.
"I see, in that case, may I ask if Miss Jiang is alone or if you don’t mind me sitting here?"
"Feel free!" Jiang Xue responded casually, unfazed by Pete’s attempt to get close. She had already mentioned before that she was married, with a husband and child. If Pete wasn’t out of his mind, he wouldn’t have any more thoughts about her.
As Jiang Xue had guessed, even though Pete accompanied her for a drink, he was nothing but courteous and genuinely wanted to be friends with her.
After drinking for a while, Jiang Xue sensed it was almost time for her addiction to act up and took her leave from Pete. Pete didn’t try to stop her; after Jiang Xue left, he took out his phone and called Jin Hao, saying with a smile, "Boss Jin, guess who I just saw at the bar?"
"Who?" Jin Hao asked calmly.
"Miss Jiang, she was drinking red wine, and I chatted with her for a bit."
"Where is she now?"
"She’s already gone back."
Hearing that Jiang Xue had returned, Jin Hao silently hung up the phone. Then he called his subordinate and said, "When Jiang Xue’s addiction hits, make sure to time it right and deliver the drugs."
"Understood!"
Back to Jiang Xue, after returning to her room, she took one of the pills. Immediately, the effects of the drug kicked in. At this moment, Jiang Xue deliberately took her phone and called Jin Hao, saying, "Mr. Jin, I’m feeling terrible!"
