Jingjing finally stopped after making a fuss in the room and shouting enough.
Looking at the messy room, a hint of resentment flashed in her eyes; if this doesn’t work, she’ll take another approach.
She couldn’t believe that as a wealthy lady, she couldn’t outsmart a child bride?
She pulled a smile at the corner of her mouth, stood up, and walked out of the room.
Xiaotian saw Jingjing coming again and felt a bit speechless. She really doesn’t give up and keeps fighting harder. I wonder what method she’s come up with this time.
"Sister-in-law."
Jingjing called out with a face full of smiles, as if nothing had happened before.
This made Xiaotian’s mouth twitch. She’s really a multi-faceted fox, able to bend and stretch. Her unpredictable and innocent act is unmatched, "Jingjing, have you rested enough?"
"Mm, I’ve rested enough. Sister-in-law, I heard you are skilled in all four arts: qin, chess, calligraphy, and painting. Why don’t we have a friendly contest?"
These words made Xiaotian’s smile curve even more. She thought Jingjing came up with a plan, but turns out she wanted to humiliate her through these arts to prove that she’s inferior?
"Sister Jingjing, sister-in-law isn’t proficient in qin, chess, calligraphy, or painting. You can go ahead, and sister-in-law will just watch on the side." As Xiaotian finished speaking, she had a little maid bring over ink, paper, and painting materials for Jingjing, along with a qin and chess.
Jingjing hadn’t expected that Xiaotian would not take her bait at all. She rolled her eyes with an idea suddenly striking her, and then she nodded.
Soon, all the items were brought up.
Xiaotian indicated to Jingjing to proceed as she pleased.
Jingjing picked up a brush and wrote a few lines on the paper, "The rat has a hide, but man has no dignity! Man with no dignity, why not just die? The rat has a halt, but man no stop! Man with no stop, what to wait for to die? The rat has a body, but man has no courtesy! Man with no courtesy, why not die quickly?"
After writing, she cheerfully raised the paper and said, "Sister-in-law, I think this poem suits you especially, take a look."
Seeing the poem on it, Xiaotian was initially stunned but then said, "Thank you, Sister Jingjing, for the compliments."
Upon hearing this, Jingjing felt greatly satisfied, thinking this sister-in-law truly doesn’t understand anything, not even realizing she’s being insulted.
But before she could rejoice, Xiaotian began reading out loud, "The rat has a hide, but man has no dignity! Man with no dignity, why not just die? The rat has a halt, but man no stop! Man with no stop, what to wait for to die? The rat has a body, but man has no courtesy! Man with no courtesy, why not die quickly?"
After reading, she nodded, "Sister Jingjing, I think this poem fits you better. Sister-in-law can’t compare to you. You’ve truly picked a poem tailor-made for yourself."
When Xiaotian read out the poem, Jingjing’s facial expression became dramatic. Hearing these words, she realized she was being played. This sister-in-law clearly knew how to read and understand, yet pretended not to. She angrily said, "You understand it!"
"Sister Jingjing, you really overestimate sister-in-law. Sister-in-law only learned a few words from your brother. As for the meaning here, sister-in-law doesn’t get it, but you said it suits sister-in-law, so it must be a compliment. Sister-in-law thinks, Sister Jingjing is such a good person, surely wouldn’t say anything bad about sister-in-law, right? Sister Jingjing?"

With these words, Jingjing’s face turned green and then white, unable to refute and had to swallow this loss in silence, "Sister-in-law is right."
Then she quietly took back the paper with the poem, gnashing her teeth in hatred where Xiaotian couldn’t see.
