Chapter 1322: Plans undergo
Michael had been watching the development in the demi-human kingdom with great anticipation. It won’t be long before they found the right momentum to enter into the Sacred Tree and eventually ask their Monarch for an alliance.
They just needed more allies within the demi-humans. And they needed to do it before the 1st rank general finished his plans with the Ersatz.
"Narito. Sasuki. What’s happening over there?"
It was at this point that the voices of his two Orc Chieftains transmitted straight to his head.
"BU TO TO! Supreme Leader, we have been able to spy on their movements. And it looks like this 1st rank general has been meeting a cloaked human during the nights."
"RAH TA TA! We don’t know what they’re planning. But we know that they are planning to do it soon. The movements of their army have started to ramp up."
Michael nodded, taking into consideration everything they were saying into his plans.
"Alright. I think it is time for us to move."
He looked towards the Rebornian army. They had not just been lazing around during these past few days. They had been hard at work, practicing, making their swordplay a lot more sharper than before.
"Jaku. Are you ready?"
The Dragonborn was the only one who was lazing around. He was laying on a grassfield full of bioluminescent moss, giving Michael a thumbs up.
Today, they storm the Sacred Tree.

Rowan, the ambitious Red Mankey, looked out at the giant branch of the Sacred Tree.
Even now, he couldn’t get that picture of that strange, blonde-haired human staring at him from afar. He was still in the belief that the human could see him. Though, everytime he brought it up, his brother and his fellow Red Mankeys made fun of him for it.
"Get up, Rowan," said his Loren, his brother. "We have a new order from our general."
Rowan picked up his sword. "What are we to do?"
"Our general told us to make some trouble with the 2nd rank general’s army."
This was quite surprising to Rowan. "But why? Didn’t they do our kingdom good by giving us so much food and resources? We even made use of it!"
Loren looked at his younger brother. "Our general told us that those Red Mankey soldiers are starting to get too used to using human resources. They’re even using the same clothes that they do."
"... and what’s wrong with that?" Rowan asked his brother.
Loren looked around, hoping no one had heard his younger brother say those treacherous words. "Don’t ever repeat those words again. You want to get in trouble?"
Rowan looked indignant. "Why is it so bad?"
"Those humans are evil creatures. They will stop at nothing to destroy our kingdom. Our general said so!"
But this wasn’t enough to stop the fire burning in Rowan’s heart. "But... but our general does it too. I saw him. He was talking with a human. They’re the ones that gave us that collar that could tame the magical monsters!"
Loren forcefully shut his younger brother’s mouth in order to stop him from making an even bigger mistake. "Do not say that. Our general is the greatest man that has ever lived. He is going to lead our demi-human race to become the leader of the world! I am going to volunteer to be part of the special task force to help that."
Hearing this, Rowan couldn’t help but be horrified. "Brother! No, you can’t!"
"I have to do this! This is the only way that we’re going to stand a chance against those humans."
"But... but it’s impossible. There’s no way that us demi-humans could gain the power of those Maugnetics. It’s just not possible," said Rowan."
"It wasn’t," said Loren. "But the ally of our general has already solved that problem. The only thing that we will need to do is change our heart and replace it with that strange, cold, crystal."
Rowan was absolutely afraid that his brother would become someone like this. "It’s too dangerous! Those... those that have volunteered to become those... demi-human Maugnetics have become too different. Or worse, they’ll die."
The sounds of their army marching to the side told both brothers that this was the time for them to move. No matter how much they didn’t want to.
"Trust in our general," said Loren. "He will not lead us astray. I will become a Maugnetic and become powerful enough to protect you and everyone else in our kingdom. Just watch."
Rowan had no choice but to let his brother march off into the other direction, towards the deep unknown.
He held the phone in his hands, looking at the screen with a wistful gaze. It was a picture of his brother and him just a few days ago. They looked so happy.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Rowan, an invisible Mini Drone hovered above him, its camera capturing everything that had just occurred in 4k detail.

Levi and the Vanderbilt army found themselves in deep, deep trouble. They were battered and beaten, forced into a retreat.
His soldiers were heavily injured. Their weapons, almost shattered. Their armor, already bleeding blood and guts.
And the worst part was that his Nascent Spirit generals were unable to help.
What happened, Levi asked himself. Just a few days ago, they were being attacked by the demi-humans through their guerilla tactics. It was annoying and greatly slowed their pace, but it wasn’t remotely dangerous.
However, in the past few days, the demi-humans and their Red Mankey soldiers had suddenly shown a different kind of fight. An uncharacteristic aggression. One that was filled with reckless abandon.
And if that wasn’t all, Levi saw something unthinkable.
Red Mankeys manifesting a strange, twisted, version of a Diva.
The godlike figure above their shoulders was twisted, malformed, insidiously colored, and every kind of mutation possible.
But there was no mistaking it. They were wielding Aubility Powers. Thousands of them, all Red Mankeys. They overwhelmed Levi’s army, while his Nascent Spirit generals were forced to deal with the Magical Monsters.
The result, a shameful retreat for the Vanderbilts.
