Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1321: Slow integration

The 2nd rank general finished his meeting with the Monarch. As expected, they had praised his army for bringing such bountiful gifts to their kingdom. However, there was no such mention about a promotion or anything like that. After all, the 1st rank general was still quite influential within the demi-humans for bringing them the Magical Monsters.

But it didn’t matter. This was all part of their plan, conceived by none other than that Michael human himself.

The 2nd rank general returned to his army, which was now starting to distribute the resources that they had brought over.

And that night, the entire demi-human kingdom began their celebrations.

...

...

...

Both the 1st rank general and the 3rd rank general thought that their competitor, the 2nd rank general, had simply found a fortuitous encounter with a very wealthy human.

However, over the next few days, those thoughts were quickly dispersed. After all, their army kept bringing more and more food and resources over to the demi-human kingdom in quick succession!

It was as if they were drawing from an endless well of water and rice and wheat.

"How is this possible?!"

"Where did they get it from?!"

"I would like to see where they go for their hunting grounds. They must have struck one of the Conglomerates or something."

Both of the other generals immediately became insecure. With the way that this was going, it may be possible for the 2nd rank general to achieve a promotion from the Monarch.

The only thing that was assuring them was the fact that the 2nd rank general himself had already stated that he didn’t want to advance into the 1st rank.

"What? He said that to the Monarch? Is he stupid?"

"No way he won’t want a promotion."

"It’s true! We heard it ourselves."

Because of that, the other Red Mankey generals didn’t pay much attention to the 2nd rank general and his army. They instead just focused on their own tasks at hand and hopefully find grace with their Monarch.

After all, they were getting free food from them, and their general himself had already stated that he didn’t want a promotion. This was something that both generals would immediately take advantage of.

But what they didn’t know was that the infiltration had already started.

Day by day, the demi-human kingdom became more and more dependent on the food and resources that the 2nd rank general and his army brought up from the jungle forests.

Their food was grown from Reborn. Their water, dug up from Reborn. And that wasn’t all. They had also brought out clothes and other such paraphernalia from the Rebornian Nation, allowing the demi-human citizens to experience just a little bit of that hospitality and comfort from the paradise in the Parched Lands.

The demi-humans started to wear Rebornian clothes. They started to use weapons from Reborn. They even started to implement the culture of Reborn!

Red Mankeys feasted atop the Sacred Tree by drinking loads and loads of barrels of beer. And of course, this had caught the attention of the other demi-humans, who were quickly smitten with the alcoholic drink.

And just like what happened a few days ago, the Red Mankeys now began to teach their fellow demi-humans how to play baseball.

Slowly but surely, the citizens of the demi-human kingdom were becoming more and more like Rebornian citizens.

"I’ve heard that these foods come from a foreign land. One that is free and safe from any harm."

"Reborn. That’s the name inscribed on this chess board that they gave us. I think I’ve heard of it before.

"Maybe I would like to visit that place someday."

Of course, those rumors that suddenly began popping up within conversations were planted by none other than the shadows lurking in the dark. They had subtly begun to give them ideas about Reborn, making them a lot more susceptible to a future alliance with them.

And because the other generals took advantage of the resources and food given by the 2nd rank general, they were also victims of this subtle change.

It was gradual. Their Red Mankeys picked up the habits of the other citizens, drinking beer at night, wearing fashionable clothes, and other such things.

Their generals didn’t even know that their own army was starting to become foreign to them.

They were so busy with their own ambitions not to notice that their soldiers had started to stray from their supposed ideals.

...

...

...

In the darkest depths of the Sacred Tree, a new market was blooming.

"Do not show this to anybody else, okay? This is a super secret item that should not be spread around," a Red Mankey said, looking around their environment to make sure that they were still alone

"Okay, okay, I got it. Here’s my payment," said a Satyr demi-human. "Polyherbs. Here."

The Red Mankey then gave the Satyr the phone in his hands. "Enjoy. Tell the others."

Once he had the phone in his hands, the Satyr’s eyes widened with surprise as he began to see the wonders and beauty inside the phone. "I see... I see! So this is the Nation of Reborn! What a wonderful place! One filled with majestic buildings and a comforting world. I can see my fellow Satyrs living like kings along with the humans!"

It was at this point that the Red Mankey nodded. "That is right. Whatever those other demi-humans tell you, never believe the rumors. Not all humans are evil. Some of them can be our allies. This phone proves that."

The Satyr nodded. "I am willing to help your cause!"

Multiple of these meetings took place within the demi-human kingdom. It was a carefully planned execution of Michael’s vision.

And just like they wanted, there were now more and more demi-humans who were supporting their cause. They no longer hated the idea of allying themselves with the humans!

It won’t be long before they have everybody on board.

And from afar, Michael watched everything with his Mini Drones, satisfied with what he was seeing.
