Chapter 138: Jacob vs Heimdall 2
Jacob instantly assumed a stance similar to the one that Heimdall had used earlier, he raised his fists to his face, mimicking Heimdall. His face was expressionless as he now looked like a boxer.
But unlike Heimdall, who had forged the skill from scratch. Jacob copied the ability and refined it to the highest level of execution.
He didn’t need to punch through the air to charge up the attack. All the theatrics weren’t necessary because he had complete control over the impact of his punches.
His fists turned red, and then a small frame erupted from his knuckles, but they didn’t seem to hurt him at all.
Heimdall opened his eyes, both confused and amazed at what Jacob was doing. This was the first time the young man saw Heimdall open both of his eyes at once.
His pupils were grayish in color, if one didn’t know any better, they would have thought Heimdall was blind, but the opposite was the case, as he could see even more clearly than most people.
’This boy... did he copy my skill?’ Heimdall pondered in his mind as he stared at the boy unblinkingly.
"You copied my technique?" He finally raised his voice at Jacob, as it could be clearly understood what the boy had just done.
"A little, only thing is I made it better." Jacob responded with a mischievous smirk and vanished from his spot, leaving after-images to take his place.
He threw a single punch aimed at Heimdall’s chest, but the man blocked with his forearms, and was instantly sent crashing into the dome with a loud bang!
The impact resounded all over the hall, causing some of the spectators to gasp as they watched on.
Heimdall knew Jacob was fast, but up until then, the boy was only using his speed to go on the defensive. Now he was attacking, and the result was almost devastating.
Heimdall got up haphazardly, staggering for a few steps before regaining his footing; but he wasn’t given enough time to recollect himself as Jacob shot through with another blow.
This time Heimdall was able to escape by a hair’s breadth, the ground beneath his former position instantly shattered by the impact of Jacob’s punch.
The Primarch heaved a sigh of relief that they were all on the ground floor, if they were in the upper halls then tbe ground would’ve surely caved in by now.
Later, he would get the masons to fix the floors, for now he could not believe what he was seeing. This young man had just copied Heimdall’s skill and was using it better than the man himself. It was preposterous.
The Wutherhorn boys had begun to whisper amongst themselves, they had never seen someone give Heimdall such a tough time before.
’That was close, if I had stayed there, then this fight would probably be over.’ Heimdall mused as sweat dripped off his body, his breaths ragged.
He stared at the massive crater created by Jacob’s attack as he steadied himself.
He looked around and couldn’t find Jacob, he swirled around frantically, wondering where the boy had vanished to, but after seeing it was no use searching he got into his battle stance and closed his eyes again for the umpteenth time.
He tried to get a feel of his surroundings as his Qi surged forward, even the people outside wondered where Jacob had suddenly disappeared to.
Heimdall suddenly felt an ominous presence emerge from behind him, but before he could turn around to confront the figure; Jacob had placed a hand on his back.
This was the skill that Jacob had used on Savant a few months ago to disrupt his corruption. In truth, as long as one was a living being with Qi flowing through their veins, then was their Kryptonite.
Heimdall immediately felt his Qi scramble beneath his exterior and he groaned loudly. He fell on all fours as he struggled to hold himself up.
"Gaaaaah! Ughhh!" The man groaned and grunted, he was trying to crawl away from Jacob but the young man walked beside him and kicked him as hard as he could in the abdomen.
Heimdall was sent flying a few meters away from Jacob, grabbing his abdomen as he struggled, he could barely hold himself up anymore and he had one eye open.
"W-What did y-you do?!" Heimdall gasped, unable to even form a sentence properly. Jacob just stared at the man with listless eyes, he was find of doing that.
"Oh, I just disrupted your Qi circulation." Jacob answered and shrugged. The Primarch was at the edge of his seat now, gripping the handles.
If his strongest warrior was being defeated in this manner... how strong was this boy.
He still had a feeling deep down that this wasn’t even half of Jacob’s power.
The crowd behind him and beside him were short of words, there was nothing to describe what they were witnessing here today.
Heimdall managed to stand to his feet after a while of suffering on the ground. Jacob only had one more thing to do, he no longer wished to fight hand to hand. He wanted to try something that he hadn’t done before.
’Let’s see how he deals with this.’ The young man thought.
A pool of rubble instantly began swirling around him, then water formed from the particles of air, then sand. Air twirled around t he formation, then ice, then fire.
Before long, it was a huge sphere of elements that were swirling with each other. This was an attack that Jacob had copied and perfected since he was ten years of age. A technique he practically stole from Zaheer.
Everyone’s eyes widened, everyone except Xenia. She had seen the attack before and wasn’t surprised in the least.
Yannick could not believe his eyes, for the longest time he was taunted as the strongest son of the Wutherhorn Primarch, but compared to Jacob, he felt like fodder.
"Uhm... Light—" Randolph whispered into Light’s ear as he stared wide eyed at the battle arena. "—Where the fuck did you find this guy?"
"I don’t know. I think he found me."
