Chapter 137: Jacob vs Heimdall 1
Unlike the tournament, there was no announcer, or grand theatrics. It was just two men, trapper together in a barrier and left to begin tbe battle whenever they wanted.
There was a timer, one which would begin once the first attack was launched.
The five minutes were finally up, the long awaited battle was underway. Both men hesitated, a universal rule that stuck to the both of them, unless you were infinitely stronger than your opponent, then there was no need to lunge into attack blindly.
Jacob stood back, he wanted to see the full might of Heimdall’s power, so he decided to test the man. Surely, if he didn’t use weapons, then that would imply that his fists were better, and more effective than any weapons he would wield.
Jacob instantly created two clones of himself, and sent them towards Heimdall. Cecilia gasped, so did the younger Wutherhorn boys, they had never seen such perfect cloning techniques in their entire existence, especially when the person did it with no effort whatsoever.
The clones dashed towards Heimdall like three bullets, faster than the regular human eye. They came from all sides; one from the middle and the other two from the left and right.
Heimdall smirked as he blocked their attacks, with nothing but his forearms, a thudding sound echoed through the arena as their limbs connected aggressively.
A three vs one battle immediately ensured, fist clashed with fist as Heimdall held his own against the three perfectly cloned versions of the young man that stood before him.
’He’s holding his ground well, luckily for him, these clones only possess twenty percent of my power. I can also follow his movements pretty easily with my eyes.’ Jacob mused as he watched the battle.
Judging by the reactions of the wife of the Primarch and the younger sons of Wutherhorn, they were surprised by how the battle had started.
Light and Xenia remained straight faced, unlike everyone else in the room, they had seen Jacob and knew what he was capable of.
’He’s certainly strong. Let’s see if he can actually defeat Heimdall.’ Yannick thought as he watched the battle with as much enthusiasm as he could muster.
’Interesting, the boy has some impressive powers.’ The Primarch mused as he stroked his chin lightly. He wasn’t easily impressed, as most people already knew. Even if he was, he rarely showed it.
"You’re good, but these clones are weak!" Heimdall growled as he twirled his body around, using his bow to knock the last clone out.
He was breathing heavily, and sweating profusely but he had already impressed Jacob with being able to take his clones down.
On Heimdall’s end, as he could not read Jacob’s mind, it was difficult to anticipate what the boy would do next. So he decided to take charge.
"It’s time to get serious." Heimdall muttered under his breath as he took the bandage off his head.
He immediately positioned himself in a boxing stance.
He began punching the air, one punch after the other, tearing through the breeze that circulated in front of him.
The more he punched, the more his speed increased, it could be seen that his punches split the air into two each time his hands surged forward.
’That’s his power, crazy.’ Jacob mused.
He had already known what this power was, it was the reason why Heimdall was so feared in the realm. This technique was called .
His punches didn’t have a fixed power, everytime he punched through the air, or any object. The impact kept increasing infinitely until it completely destroyed his opponent.
Over the years he had learned to control it better, in this moment he was charging his attacks with each punch, the impact kept increasing, to the point that Jacob could feel the impact of the air being pushed away from Heimdall.
’That’s it Heimdall, don’t let the boy control the fight, take charge!’ The Primarch mused, Heimdall obviously heard his thoughts and became more aggressive.
He lunged at Jacob, his fists already brightly burning from the number of punches he had sent through the air, the threw one punch after another, kicks weren’t spared either.
Heimdall threw every attack he knew how to, but as a result of , Jacob was able to follow his movements very easily.
The young man weaved through the air like a dance, he could at least control that, what he could not control was the increasing impact of every attack.
Heimdall sent a punch crashing into the ground, shattering it, pieces of rubble flying into the air. Jacob took the opportunity and kicked the pieces hard at Heimdall one after the other, but the man just punched through them one by one.
Heimdall had his eyes closed the entire time.
The attacks kept growing infinitely, even the dome was ultimately affected. Cecilia was immediately instructed by the Primarch to reinforce the dome before it got destroyed by Heimdall’s attacks.
Heimdall had started to get frustrated as he couldn’t land a single hit on the boy, but unlike the young Wutherhorn boys, he never let it affect the pattern of his attacks.
This was something that Jacob admired, no matter the man’s frustration, he never let it change the way that he approached the battle.
Heimdall thought he had seen every attack that Jacob had to give, he had to applaud the boy for his tremendous speed and perception, if it were any of the other young men in the room, he was very sure that he would have landed a single punch by now. And the results would most likely be devastating.
Heimdall could not take account of Jacob’s copy and refine ability, as he had no knowledge of it
Jacob smiled, he was yet to truly test Heimdall in this battle, he didn’t want to end it too quickly as that would take all the fun out of the challenge.
It was time to see how the man responded to his own techniques being used against him.
