Chapter 169: Entering The Library Of Life
A white carriage with blue engravings could be seen riding along a rutted road, with two black, noble steeds dragging it along.
Leon sat in the box seat, half dozing as the horses trotted along the path.
Jacob had already spent half a day tending to Xenia’s needs.
She had made him do everything imaginable; massage her feet, wash her clothes, etc.
There was no menial job she hadn’t made him do. He had grown extremely exhausted of doing such things very quickly, even his daily sign-in tasks did not make him this tired. He decided to do something else that was unrelated to doing chores for Xenia for a change.
The woman was fortunately fast asleep on her side of the carriage, he thought that doing these chores for her brought her such extreme satisfaction that she had to fall asleep. She hadn’t slept properly in days, partly due to her overthinking.
Jacob looked at her, she was an extremely beautiful woman. A quality she had that she was probably not even aware of. But he knew nothing would ever happen between them. The mere thought of it even bothered him.
He hissed slightly and then smiled because he knew that she at least wasn’t angry at him anymore.
This was the perfect time to do some exploration of his own. He had promised himself that he was going to explore the little pocket dimension that he was gifted by the system sooner or later, there was no better time than now.
The Library of Life, or so the system called it, had no time limit whatsoever.
He quickly created a clone in Kalgin to once again cultivate in his place, it was slower than his usual cultivation. But it was worth it because he didn’t have to do it himself.
Jacob was not lazy, contrary to popular belief. He was more like his grandfather. He was carefree and lived life as it came.
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, his entire body was immediately warped, into a vast space.

He stood before a building, one that crippled the Ironfell castle, it didn’t seem extremly big, but it was enormous.
It also seemed to be placed on top of a very large hill. A golden light shone down from the skies, accentuating the color of the walls, which were pristinely white.
It felt very real, he could feel the light shine on his face, he could feel the earth beneath him as his feet shuffled, it was as though he had been transported to another place.
He walked gracefully, placing one foot in front of the other until he got to the main entrance. Once he reached, the giant wooden door creaked open slowly, as though it was automatic and just waiting for a command,
The door opening revealed an empty room, one filled with rows of shelves, spanning for miles and miles. There was no end in sight. Jacob walked in and the door slammed behind him. Not enough that it startled him, but enough that the echoes rang throughout the halls.
On these shelves were a plethora of books, it was bigger than any library he had ever seen in his life.
To the right of him was a spiral stair case that went up, suggesting that there was another floor.
The ground was made entirely of marble, polished so clear that Jacob could see his reflection.
The halls were brightly lit by modern type bulbs that lined up endlessly on the ceiling.
"Whoa!" He said, lost for words, now he understood why this place was called the Library of Life.
He looked to the left of him and there was nothing but a counter, a station where a librarian would sit. On the counter there was a piece of paper. He walked up slowly to the counter and picked up the piece of paper.
It read: To make navigation effortless, the Host only needs to issue a command specifying the type of book they seek. The Library will instantly respond by teleporting the Host directly to the appropriate section, eliminating the need to search through countless shelves.
"That’s convenient." Jacob said as he placed the piece of paper down. He thought about what the piece of paper said for a while and then decided to try it out before going upstairs.
On second thought, he had a question to ask his system.
"System."
"Since I can just issue a command and I’ll appear wherever I want to be, does it work the same for—say stairs for example?"
"Good."
Jacob immediately began pondering where to go, there were a plethora of sections he could choose from.
"History." He said out loud.
The wmentire building started to rumble, it seemed as though the books were reshuffling on the shelves, but in actuality, he was the one moving, the ground seemingly moved underneath his feet.
In less than three seconds he was standing in front of a group of shelves. The section "History" written above them.
In that moment, he understood that this Library not only contained books with information on this world, but information on several worlds, several dimensions, several universes.
There were so many books. Even with his Infinite comprehension, it would take him days to comb through everything that was in this library.
He didn’t even think it was possible as the library appeared infinite on its own.
He picked up a book. It read: The Battle Of Zambrosia.
He flipped through the pages, it was as though the words were flying off the page into his brain. He could immediately see the events that played out in the book and comprehend everything that happened as though it was of his own design.
He stared at the panel, contemplating if he should visit the world of Zambrosia and have the battle play out directly in front of him or not.
As time moved stood still in the Library of life, it would not affect the outside world.
