"For your first task..." Xenia pulled out her sword from the sheath, it looked a little dusty, and dull. As though she hadn’t cleaned it in days.

It was understandable as she had no need to do so since she never even used it once. "...polish, and sharpen my sword." She finished her command, handing over the sword to Jacob, who frowned his face.

He showed his extreme displeasure, signaling that he was not enjoying this at all, not even in the least bit. But Xenia smiled, she enjoyed every second of it, and she would enjoy the next two days.

Jacob grabbed the sword reluctantly and began to polish it, he had never polished a sword before. All he knew was how to effectively use one. Excalibur was always polished and in peak condition because it was an extension of his physique, so he never needed to worry about if his sword was in peak condition or not.

Xenia watched the young man polish the sword and it was all she could do to hold back her excitement. He was surprisingly good at it, for someone who had never attempted such a task in his life before.

She eventually spoke up. "Tell me, why are we suddenly going to the Treant village? Do you have another friend you’re going to meet there?" Xenia inquired in a more serious tone.

Jacob looked up at her, he knew he could not tell her the whole truth, but he could tell her a semblance of it.

Before he said anything, she spoke again. "Remember you said no secrets. If I smell a secret, I’m extending the timeframe."

"Okay, okay. Have you ever heard about the World Tree?" Jacob asked her, not looking up from the sword he was polishing.

"Yes, I’ve heard tales of it, but only tales. Some people believe it exists, some don’t. I personally have never seen it." She said with a straight face.

"Well it’s real, and I want to see it. It’s said that it’s the origin of all cultivation right?" Jacob said.

"Yes, that’s what the tales say. They say that if anything was to ever happen to the tree. The. The world will be plunged into eternal darkness, and cultivation as we know it would cease to exist."

Jacob nodded, he already knew everything he e needed to know, he could not take Xenia and Leon down into Helmand as the air there would be very toxic for them.

He could not also go on his own as this was a very delicate time to run off on his own to a place like Helmand, for a purpose he would not be able to explain.

The Treant Village was his best bet at confronting the Demon King.

The carriage bounced along the rutted road as Leon changed course, the Trean Village was very far out from the Daven Heaven Continent.

It was a very small place which was why most people didn’t consider Treants as a race per se. they more or less considered them some form of guardians.

As though their only purpose was to safeguard the World Tree, their own livelihood and the rest of the world’s.

When Yggros worked her way up to gaining a seat at the Elder Covenant, a lot of the other elders protested. The Treants were not a violent race, they only believed in the preservation of life, and peaceful coexistence.

Which was why they were separated from the rest of the world. In this world, whoever was incapable of violence was tossed aside or trampled upon.

Yggros proved herself capable of violence and fit several centuries she served as a pillar for her entire village, protecting and shielding her people as they continued to preserve the source of cultivation.

Jacob was aware of all of this, his only backup plan incase they did not get to the village in time was to just teleport there, leaving Xenia and Leon behind.

He had a clear picture of what the world tree looked like in his mind. But he needed to see it with his eyes.

"Yes, and that is why I must visit, plus, since i’m on a voyage, what better location to visit than the source of all cultivation in the world?" Jacob smiled.

Xenia looked at him with uncertainty, she didn’t fully believe him, but she decided to trust his words for now. It was all she could do.

"It’ll be great to see it for myself too, this journey had given me the opportunity to see things that I didn’t know existed." She responded.

"Right. By the way, how do you think the Great Sage is doing?" Jacob asked her.

"He’s probably doing just fine, he’s the great Sage after all, he’ll find somebody new to train in no time. Otherwise, he’s just sleep." Xenia smiled, she had began to reminisce on the time they spent in the Forest of the ten thousand beasts. Looking back on it now, it was not as bad as she had expected.

"Here’s your sword." Jacob presented her double edged sword to her, she grabbed it by the handle and looked at it, a shocked expression covering her face as she didn’t expect it to look this good.

It resembled a brand new blade with how well he had polished it.

"I know I did a good job, no need to mention it." Jacob smiled, his cocky nature bursting forward unwarranted.

"You’re not done yet, there’s still a plethora of things that I need you to do Jacob, we’re just getting started. It’s going to be a long two days." Xenia smiled, she had made up her mind that she was going to humble the young man at the end of this time frame.

Jacob grumbled, hissing out of annoyance.

Xenia reached into her bag and pulled out a book, it was a thick cover book with a title that read: Lost Civilizations.

Xenia presented this book to Jacob and said a command that hit him like an arrow in the center of his chest.

"Read this book aloud to me."
