Chapter 165: Is His Wife Avoiding Him?
In the end, Fu Mingxue got another bowl and split the food.
She figured washing one extra bowl was better than making him eat her leftovers.
Qin Wenhao glanced at her but didn’t say anything—
After they finished the dumplings, Qin Wenhao took the initiative to clear the dishes. "Honey, you go on back to the room. I’ll take care of this."
Fu Mingxue nodded.
But she still brushed her teeth again before heading back to the room.

When Qin Wenhao came into the room, the first thing he saw was his wife reading a book.
It was a very thick book.

He could make some sense of the diagrams, though. They looked like the internals of an engine!
After just a minute, he started to feel dizzy.
Qin Wenhao figured he probably wasn’t suited for reading, and that’s why he felt dizzy.

Fu Mingxue could only read it for free for two hours, at most. Any time over that, even by a single second, would incur a fee.
The fact that he could look at it for a minute was already pushing the limits.

But for Qin Wenhao, lying in bed, it was a rather long time.
He had assumed his wife would read for half an hour at most.

He glanced at his watch. It was almost one o’clock— ’Is she trying to avoid me?’
Just as he was about to tell her to go to sleep,
Fu Mingxue finished.
Her free time was up.
Instead of putting the book directly back into her space, she locked it in a drawer first, then transferred it to her space from there.
When she turned and saw Qin Wenhao still awake and looking at her,

"Why aren’t you asleep yet?"
Qin Wenhao asked, "You work so late, and now you’re staying up reading even later. Are you going to be able to handle it tomorrow?"
"It’s nothing, of course I can handle it." Fu Mingxue walked over and lay down naturally.
Qin Wenhao pulled her into his arms.
Feeling her tense up instantly, he said, "Don’t worry, I won’t try anything tonight."

"Go to sleep. If you don’t, you’ll never get up tomorrow." With that, Qin Wenhao reached out and turned off the light.
Fu Mingxue could feel his slightly elevated body temperature, and she didn’t dare move a muscle.

"No, he went out a little while ago. I guess he had something to take care of."
Fu Mingxue had only been asking casually.
Just as she finished eating and was about to leave on her bike, Qin Wenhao returned.
"I’ll take you to work today, and I’ll pick you up tonight when you get off."
Hearing this, Fu Mingxue couldn’t help but look at him. "You have that much free time?"
