Chapter 174: Got a Brain?
Fu Mingxue couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him.
She muttered under her breath, "I never said you had any sort of improper relations—"
’If he really did... Heh, I’d castrate him.’
The car arrived quickly.
Qin Wenhao parked and turned to look at Fu Mingxue. "I’ll come pick you up tonight."
Fu Mingxue nodded. "Okay. But you don’t need to come early. I’m guessing around eleven."
’I didn’t ride my bike, so of course he has to come get me.’
She pushed open the car door and got out.
Qin Wenhao watched her walk through the factory’s main gate before driving away.
Fu Mingxue was beautiful, and for two days in a row, she had been dropped off at work in a car.
Especially since it was during the peak time for arriving at work.
It was all quite attention-grabbing.
Plus, she was a new face—after all, someone that beautiful couldn’t have gone unnoticed at the factory before.
So, the news that the beautiful newcomer was being chauffeured to and from work quickly spread.
Everyone was curious about which workshop she worked in—and what her background was.
After all, their factory rarely hired outsiders.
The benefits and salary at their factory were excellent; other people would kill for a chance to get in.
This girl must have some serious connections.
Fu Mingxue had no idea what these people were speculating, nor did she care.
The engine factory had top-tier professional talent as well as ordinary workers.
There were several different tiers!
After Fu Mingxue got to her office, she didn’t go to the workshop first.
Instead, she gathered all the members of her group for a meeting.
The topic of discussion was the issue with the materials she had suddenly thought of while watching Master Yang’s operations the previous night.
There was also the matter of the data, which she felt still needed some adjustments.
Additionally, there were problems her team members were facing that also required her to solve—
The meeting went on like this for about two hours.
She didn’t have time to go to the workshop that morning. She had to revise the blueprints and the material applications.
She also had to run calculation tests.
By the time she felt her stomach growl, she realized it was already twelve o’clock.
"It’s that late already!"
She put away her blueprints, ready to go to lunch.
Just then, she heard a knock on the door. "Come in."
She thought it was one of her other team members, but to her surprise, the person who pushed the door open and entered was Xu Ming.
"What is it?" Her tone lacked the warmth she used with her other team members.
Xu Ming didn’t seem to mind her coldness.
"Group Leader Fu, aren’t you eating lunch? How about I bring some food back for you?"
"Thank you, but I’ll go get it myself."
"Then let’s go together? It just so happens I have a data problem I need to discuss with you." Xu Ming’s words made Fu Mingxue frown. "Xu Ming, did you leave your brain back in the dormitory? Are you suggesting we discuss our data in the cafeteria?"
Xu Ming was speechless.
"If you have a problem, you can say it now, or we can talk about it this afternoon. As for lunchtime, I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to eat with a male comrade."
Xu Ming was baffled.
"—Sorry, I wasn’t thinking. In that case, we can discuss the data issue this afternoon. I’ll be going then."
After saying this, he gave Fu Mingxue a slight nod, then backed out of the office.
Fu Mingxue felt a headache coming on.
’What on earth was Director Geng thinking? Why did he have to assign him to my group?’
’To be honest, he’s certainly skilled.’
’But when it comes to math... my calculation speed is no slower than his.’
’Whatever. I still need team members.’
She walked out of her office and went to the cafeteria.
There weren’t many people eating at this time, just a few scattered here and there. They had clearly also lost track of time while busy with work.
Just as Fu Mingxue got her food and was about to turn around, a figure suddenly and accidentally bumped into her—
