The three of them found a random barbecue place that was still open along the street.

The restaurant wasn’t crowded, with only a few scattered tables. They sat down near the air conditioner. Estelle Goodman took out her phone, scanned the QR code, and handed it to Blair. "You order. As a thank you, this one’s on me!"

"Thank you? For what?" Blair asked, looking confused.

Estelle’s eyes widened. "For taking us to such an interesting place, of course! Seriously, I’ve only ever seen a scene like that in the movies. I never thought I’d see it in real life, let alone be there in person."

Cecilia Sterling looked at her and chuckled. "Weren’t you so scared you were trying to drag me away earlier? Now you sound like you wish it hadn’t ended."

"I was definitely scared, but it was also really exciting. I think it was more thrilling than a roller coaster."

Hearing this, Blair Golding just pursed her lips. "Whatever. If you’re paying, I’ll order whatever I want."

"Go ahead. Order anything you want."

Just then, Cecilia remembered something important. She turned to Estelle and said, "Estelle, could I trouble your dad for a favor?"

"My dad?" Estelle froze, then instinctively retorted, "Why are you asking my dad for help instead of me?"

"There’s a national artificial intelligence technology conference in Lorcain mid-month. I want to get an invitation for Rowe’s team. Can you handle that?"

"Nope, I can’t do that," Estelle admitted readily, but then she agreed, "But I can ask my dad for you. The Goodman Group usually takes the lead in organizing these kinds of conferences, so he’ll definitely have a way."

Cecilia smiled and nodded. "If your father is willing to help, I’ll find a chance to thank him in person."

Estelle waved her hand dismissively. "No need to be so formal with him."

After Blair Golding finished ordering, she returned the phone to Estelle. Estelle glanced at the order and couldn’t help but exclaim in shock, "It’s all meat! How do you stay in such good shape eating like this?"

"I burn a lot of energy every day. If I don’t eat meat, I feel like I have no strength," Blair explained.

Cecilia studied Blair’s bare arms. They weren’t much thicker than her own, but they looked incredibly powerful because the muscle definition was so clear.

"Blair, you practice Martial Arts, right?" Cecilia asked.

Blair Golding nodded.

Estelle said excitedly, "Can Cecilia and I learn? Those moves you used today were so cool! I was completely stunned. That huge boxer guy... you took him down in just a few moves! I want to be as amazing as you."

"It’s too late for you two to start learning martial arts now." Blair shook her head and explained seriously, "Training in Martial Arts is all about building a foundation from childhood. You have to start young. I began my training when I was three, and I haven’t slacked off for a single day since. An adult’s bones are already fully formed. It’s incredibly difficult to start halfway through. You wouldn’t be able to handle the hardship."

Estelle certainly didn’t look like someone who could endure hardship.

And Cecilia had no intention of suffering through martial arts training anyway.

"Still, it’s pretty rare to see a girl who practices Martial Arts," Cecilia remarked casually.

Blair sighed at her words. "There aren’t many boys, either. There are very few Martial Arts schools left in the country to begin with, and on top of that, most parents nowadays prefer things like Taekwondo or Judo. They’re a lot less demanding compared to Cathay Martial Arts. At the end of the day, it’s because training in Martial Arts is too hard, and parents can’t bear to see their children suffer."

"So who did you learn from?" Cecilia asked curiously.

"My master. I grew up in his martial arts hall."

Growing up in her master’s hall, with no mention of her parents... Cecilia sensitively picked up on the implication but didn’t press the issue, simply nodding silently.

The barbecue was mediocre, which explained why the place was so empty. But Blair still ate with gusto, seeming to find it quite tasty.

But as the three of them were eating and chatting, someone from the only other occupied table in the restaurant suddenly got up and walked toward them.

Blair’s expression instinctively grew wary as she looked up at the stout, pot-bellied middle-aged man.

His greasy face was flushed red, a clear sign he’d been drinking, but his steps weren’t unsteady. He clearly wasn’t drunk.

"Hey, beautiful, how about a drink with me!"

The man came up to their table and stopped behind Estelle, reaching out as he spoke to put a hand on her shoulder.

Estelle reacted instantly, dodging to the side and leaning toward Blair. "What are you doing? We don’t know you!"

The man’s hand hit empty air, but instead of getting angry, he just laughed. "We’ll know each other after a drink, won’t we? There are three of us guys, too. Isn’t that perfect? If you don’t want to drink here, we can go to a KTV. How about us big brothers treat you to some singing?"

"No, thank you. We’re about to leave. Our dorms are going to close soon."

Cecilia said, already standing up. She didn’t want to get entangled with this kind of man; he disgusted her.

But when he heard her, his eyes lit up. "So you little sisters are college students? College students are great! Which university? If the dorms close, just don’t go back! Big brother will get you a hotel room—a five-star hotel room."

None of the three paid him any mind. They stood up and tried to leave from the other side of the table.

Seeing his advances get the cold shoulder, the man felt he was losing face, especially with his two buddies watching from behind.

He almost instinctively reached out to grab one of them. "You fucking..."

But this time, he happened to grab for Blair Golding. Before his lecherous hand could even touch her, she shot out her own and clamped down on his wrist.

A cold glint flashed in Blair’s eyes. She wrenched his wrist downward, and before the man could finish his sentence, he let out a piercing scream. "AHHH—!"

She followed up with a flying kick, sending the over two-hundred-pound man stumbling backward. His entire body crashed into the table and chairs behind him, and he collapsed in a heap!

BLECH—

The man’s stomach churned. Before he could even get up, he vomited all over himself—a disgusting mix of everything he had just eaten and the beer he’d been drinking.

The huge commotion attracted the restaurant owner’s attention, but before he could come over to check on the situation, the man’s two companions were already rushing forward menacingly.

Blair Golding shoved her bag into Cecilia’s hands and said flatly, "Get back. Don’t want you getting splattered with blood."

Cecilia took it and replied in the same tone, "Don’t hold back and get yourself hurt. As long as you don’t kill them, I’ll cover the damages."

A smile touched Blair Golding’s lips. As she turned, she hooked her foot under a nearby metal chair, flicking it up into her grasp. Without even blinking at the man charging toward her, she swung the chair and threw it hard.

The man in front was hit by the chair and collapsed to the ground with a muffled grunt. Blair, expressionless, strode forward, snatched up another chair, and brought it down on him.

Estelle watched, completely dumbfounded. She couldn’t help but worry for the men. "Is she... really not going to kill someone...?"
