Chapter 220 - 2.97 Discovering Intimacy
Sora and Brie played the wedding for the party after Celeste returned. She left a copy with Athena to give Xander and Diana of the headcams she secretly used on Diana so Xander could see it from her point of view and vice versa.
They all enjoyed the wedding and were pretty amazed by all the conditions that came with Zeus’ blessing, but most of them understood with a blessing that powerful, there had to be several consequences. Julius laughed and shrugged, making light of the fact that Xander was always going to end up older than him somehow anyway.
Iris and Scarlet were still small babies, slowly growing at a normal pace, which their parents both appreciated. Mindy was already looking like an older teenager from the serum, which made her power grow rapidly. All in all, things were looking pretty good for the party, who continued to train on Exteria awaiting Xander and Diana’s return.
In Paradise, about a week had passed. Xander surprised Diana by taking charge of their first romantic evening together. It was really awkward for both of them at first, but after the second attempt, Diana suggested they both used their telepathy so that the other one knew what they were both thinking, and they successfully both enjoyed themselves.
They were laying in bed after having some fun, and Diana rested her head on Xander’s bare chest.
"That was a really good idea with telepathy, although I’m glad we don’t use it anymore." Xander smiled, completely relaxed.
"Aw, thanks babe. I just figured it would be easier for us to figure things out. I’m just glad you took charge the first night, I thought I was going to have to rip your clothes off."
"You could have." He laughed.
"We have about two months left, I’d say that’s a pretty awesome honeymoon. What do you want to do?"
"Well, Orin is growing up pretty quick. He’s still a baby, but he’s learning to communicate better. You said once he’s an adolescent phoenix I can try his wings?"
"Yup! I’m sure Hope will be able to help and yes, he does communicate better. I think it’s cute he calls me dada!" Xander smiled while running his hand through her hair gently.
"I think I finally figured out what being in love with someone means rather than just loving someone," Diana said softly.
"Me too," Xander kissed her. "I’m also glad we don’t have to worry about a child for another 5 months and three weeks. That’ll be a fun and awkward conversation with my dad."
Diana laughed. "Yeah, I don’t think they exactly make birth control for goddesses."
"Well, there’s protection I can use but I’m pretty sure if it’s supposed to happen, it’s going to happen. Anyway, what do you want to do about this war thing?"
"I want to fight with the party. It doesn’t feel right that they’re risking their lives for everyone and we wouldn’t be. What about you?"
"I agree. I think we should definitely fight. I also think if one of us is in trouble, we should portal out of there as quickly as we can. That goes for everyone in the party though, we have to try to keep everyone safe."
"Why did Zeus, Athena and everyone keep stressing that it was your dad’s responsibility?"
"Well, you’re a Lockheart now, so I guess I can tell you. He was actually the first ever split soul. That’s why the other woman was there at the wedding that you didn’t know. That was his mom from Earth. When he was 18, he saved a bunch of kids from his Orphanage and that’s when Chronos met him. He offered him a second chance at life and he reincarnated into his second soul, which completed it I guess. He met my mom in a dungeon on his first night on Exteria." Xander said calmly.
"Woah, that’s amazing! Was he reincarnated as a god?"
"Nope, Half-god Half-Uthra. Athena made him a god after he passed some trial during a dream visit. Then after they got married, they were worried there was going to be a werewolf attack and my mom was super sad, felt like she wasn’t good enough for him."
"Why not?! Your mom is amazing. I bet she was like the best human to ever exist."
Xander smiled. "Well, I’d say that was you, but I do love my mom very much. Well, anyway, Leila and Celeste took her with Sasha to the place for the trial of the gods. She had to pick out my dad from a million people, do some other crazy stuff and eventually had to fight Medusa. My dad helped her out on that one and then she became a goddess."
"That’s amazing! I won’t tell anyone don’t worry... by the way, it feels weird calling you babe because that’s what your parents say all the time. Can we figure out something else?" Diana laughed.
"What about hun?" Xander said, but shook his head no. "I’m just going to call you sexy, deal with it."
She giggled. "I’m ok with that one. I’ll just call you handsome or gorgeous or something. Maybe baby would be ok, I don’t know Xander."
"You can call me whatever you want honestly, but if there’s anything I say that you don’t want me to say or call you, just please let me know."
"Same goes for you. You don’t have any weird kinks or fetishes do you?" She asked nervously.
"Nah, not really, I don’t think? What about you..." He asked with a laugh.
"I’ve even kissed anyone before you so I have no idea either. I just know that I’m very sexually attracted to you and my body is consistently watching to pounce on you. I’ve never felt so horny before, it’s kind of weird."
Xander laughed. "I haven’t either. I swear it has to do something with my grandma. It must be in my blood or something."
They slowly started making out and continued exploring each other, enjoying it more each time they tried.
