Chapter 221 - 2.98 The Lockheart Way
The next morning they finally watched the videos of the wedding from each other’s perspective wearing a cool virtual reality helmet set that Athena and Eris dropped off, along with a bunch of other wedding gifts from the gods and such. Diana cried and Xander teared up, and they both kind of wished they got to say vows or something but wouldn’t complain about everything that happened. Their blessing was pretty amazing.
Athena, Eris and Aphrodite explained they had a great last day with their father and how happy he was to have a great grandchild who was married.
"Yeah, our dad is really big on family, even if he’s in a deep slumber. He’s been alive since he created everything, none of us know how he even came into existence. He’s always just been the one that created everything, I think." Eris explained.
"We’re really old," Aphrodite laughed.
"Yes, we are," Athena agreed. "So many millions of years have passed for us and we’re sitting in a living room with two people who just turned 18 and we manipulated time to get them there."
"Sorry about that you two, but with the war and having a limited window with access to waking up our father, Diana already saw all of it anyway and didn’t want to see it anymore, so what better way?" Aphrodite asked with a polite smile.
"Not complaining." Xander laughed. "Seriously, grandma Ditey your blood definitely runs through me because ever since your blessing, or whatever happened when time got sped up and we became full adult gods, I’m deeply in love with Diana and it’s just crazy how nothing really changed other than us technically being together for a much longer amount of time. When we go back, it’ll be like two days passed. How the heck do we navigate through that?"
"Yeah, that’s going to be really awkward. We’re going to be older than Julius, who your parents adopted when I was like 10. Now we’re closer to Rissa’s age, and she’s a year older than him. Plus I have a phoenix inside of me now and share all of your abilities. It’s a lot! They only had two days go by! What do we do?"
Aphrodite, Eris and Athena explained to them that time for gods and goddesses would always be different and as long as they stayed safe, which they stressed, especially with the upcoming war, that they would be together for eternity and be happy together.
They spent the rest of their time in Paradise training with Athena, Eris and Aphrodite everyday.

"Well, looks like we have two days left sexy," Xander said to Diana, who was flying with him through their realm. "You’re doing a good job, is Orin comfortable?"
"Yes, he just told me that we could speed up a little bit if we wanted to. What do you think?"
Xander took off with a giant grin and Diana kept up with him for a little bit. Noticing she was slowing down, Xander looped around her making a magical heart, grabbed her hand and flew to the ground with her.
"You’re seriously doing amazing babycakes," Xander said with a laugh.
"That’s new, babycakes." Diana laughed. "I kinda like it and thank you. Orin isn’t so small anymore."
"Nope, I’m not. I can finally talk like a normal person too. The baby talk is kind of cute though, I can’t wait until you finally have one of your own."
"Hey, not yet! I’m too young to have a kid and we still have about 4 months left before Zeus’ no child blessing wears off anyway."
"Not like you two haven’t been making a ton of use of that luxury anyway." Orin teased.
"You know you could sleep!"
Xander laughed. He remembered all the times he would talk to Hope and Diana would patiently wait for him to finish. He noticed how her eyes moved and like she was making internal gestures and finally understood when she explained it to him. They were both very glad they couldn’t see each other’s emotional colors, especially Xander. They hadn’t had many disagreements, other than one about when to have kids. Xander said never was fine, which upset Diana.
Thankfully, he was able to explain he just meant that if she never wanted to have a child, that would be ok with him. He didn’t want to put any pressure on her to have children. Diana took it as he didn’t want to have kids, but they were able to talk through it and neither of them really got upset. They had make-up romance time anyway, so it wasn’t like they couldn’t burn off steam anymore.
He grabbed her hand and they talked back to their home. Xander stopped and admired the Universes while putting his arm around his beautiful wife.
"You know, when I was here growing up, I’d often stare off into the different Universes and wonder what life would be like if I grew up on like, that planet," He said pointing to a calm one in the Orion universe, where a reptilian race was moving in super slow motion, going about their day or sleeping if they lived on the other side of the planet.
"I think you’d make a cute reptile man." She laughed.
"What about that one?" She said while pointing to the planet with the cursed vampires.
"Oh heck no! That’s the one with the cursed vampires. Did I ever tell you about that one?"
"No, but I read about it! That’s crazy how they would just stalk and eat humans like that. Terrible." She said while shaking her head.
"I know, my dad said before Sorbella existed, demons used to set up traps around human lands where they would capture them, take them back to Obsidian Hallow, fatten them up then slaughter and sell them or eat them." Xander said with a shiver.
"That’s terrible... isn’t that how they met Julius? Didn’t his mom give up her life for him?"
"He did and my parents adopted him afterwards. Anyway, I want to watch our wedding again." Xander laughed. The regular one, not the first person one.
Diana smiled while twirling his hand as they watched their wedding for the 5th time.
"Do you miss your parents?" She asked.
"Yeah, I do. It’s good to see Emma and Emery too, but seeing you so happy makes me forget about it. I’m ready to go home and start our lives together."
"Me too babycakes." Diana said before kissing him.
Xander smiled and picked her up, teleporting her to the bedroom.
They had some more romantic fun before peacefully falling asleep. Xander loved snuggling up next to her, and he had a quick thought before bed.
