Chapter 200 - 2.77 Two Tickets to Paradise
"Nana Fena!" Xander ran and gave her a huge hug. "I'm so glad to see you! Can you help Diana again like you did last time?"
"Unfortunately there is only one who can do that and it requires quite a deep commitment from both of you, so that is completely up to Diana."
"Aphrodite…" She said nervously.
"Oh, Grandma Ditey is the best. She's super cool. Her and grandpa Cyrus are so chill about everything, like literally!" Xander exclaimed.
"I don't think you quite understand Xander," Aphrodite said as she appeared and hugged him.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"If I give her my blessing, you two will be destined to be together for eternity. That's quite a large step, don't you think?"
Xander could see Diana's emotions swirling around like crazy, a rainbow of colors, but none of them were sadness or fear.
"Oh, right…" Xander mumbled.
Xander wasn't really good in these types of situations. To him, everything was a clear portrait and he knew no one else could see or view it this way. On the other hand, he knew his girlfriend had already seen the future and knew the answers, so he really was at the mercy of what she had to say. He didn't mind following in his father's footsteps and loving the first person he met on this planet, but it also scared him a bit.
'There are so many more responsibilities as a god and goddess… I know that much. I've put her in such a terrible spot!' He thought nervously.
"Will your blessing at least block my visions I have with Xander? It's really annoying to already know the outcome of things. I already saw us married, I already saw us…"
"That's enough, I get the picture. Then I ask you Xander, are you willing to accept this blessing?"
"Of course I am! I'm the one who got her in this predicament in the first place. I feel bad Diana, I'm really sorry and I feel like I put you in a no choice situation," Xander frowned, tears falling from his eyes.
She went over to him and gently wiped his tears away, "You don't realize silly, I already know most of it. There's nothing to be sorry about. This was the path that was fated and drawn out for me and if being the eventual husband to the strongest family to ever exist on Exteria is what I'm stuck with, well, I can't complain. I'm a fricken goddess! Like who else gets to say that besides your mom and your grandpa seriously? Oh, and your dad and you and brother and sister of course."
'Her emotions are all over the place… but for good reasons. This is all so fricken weird.'
"So you're good with your visions and just want them to go away so you can live a happy life… with me?" Xander said nervously.
"Of course that's what I want… do you not want that?"
"No! Of course I do! I just feel like I kind of forced my way into your life and put you on this ro–" She kissed him gently to stop his rapid thoughts.
"You didn't force anything. I'm the one who pursued you, that day with Liz with Julius, remember?"
"Still… if you knew… I feel like I'm playing with an unfair advantage here."
Aphrodite and Cryus laughed. "Oh to be young and in love again. I remember a certain someone was so infatuated with me when he met me but thought he never would have the chance."
"In my defense, you are a goddess and I was just an Uthra." Cyrus smiled.
"So, Xander and Diana, please come stand over here." Aphrodite asked excitedly.
She said something in ancient god-speak neither of them could understand, but a golden aura enveloped both of them, sending a rapid jolt throughout their whole bodies. They both passed out and quickly woke back up.
"That was something," Xander said while rubbing his eyes.
"Xander! They're gone! All the visions are gone and I can't remember any of them!" She exclaimed.
"Like all of them or just the ones regarding me?"
"Just the ones regarding you, silly! I don't even remember what we talked about before the blessing. What did we talk about?" She asked curiously.
"God and goddess stuff," Xander tried lying, but she wasn't buying it.
"Xander… be honest." She said with a frown.
"You two received Athena's blessing as a couple to be god and goddess romantically. Now, that entails you living eternity together, but I assure you it's something you willingly committed to," Athena said politely.
Diana tackled Xander, she was ecstatic.
"Thank you so much! First you help me block out the memories, then you help me become a goddess, then you willingly agree to love me forever no matter what. I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend!" She exclaimed.
'She's so happy…Well, I guess I don't have to feel guilty about all of this anymore. I do love her, she's an amazing person and if we're going to be spending two years together, we might as well learn to be together…if that makes sense."
"You're damn right it makes sense and you better not break that poor girl's heart!" Hope added.
"Oh, there you are. I feel like you never talk to me anymore… I miss you, Hope."
"Well, it's kind of difficult to just sit there and have a conversation when you're at a wedding where you know your dad's going off to fight someone and then you're fighting the four princes by yourself like a maniac!"
Xander laughed, "Good point. Wait, can you like, go inside of Diana now?"
"Not sure but I can try if you want me too?"
"Yeah but be sure to come back, I don't want to lose my best friend!" Xander pleaded.
Hope shot out of Xander like a rocket and tried to enter Diana, but knocked her over accidentally instead.
"Sorry! We thought maybe with Aphrodite's blessing she would be able to go inside of you."
Diana laughed. "It's ok, but that was very thoughtful. I think that would require someone else's blessing…"
