The grin on the dragon’s face only grew wider.

"You really think you can beat me?" he asked casually. "Try your worst."

Himmel burst towards him in an instant.

The air between them exploded apart as his body crossed hundreds of metres in less than a heartbeat.

All of the kinetic energy accumulated through Sefīgá gathered into his right arm.

The sheer amount of energy put his entire body at risk.

The First Dragon pulled back his own fist.

"COME AT ME!!!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The impact created a shockwave powerful enough to split the clouds across an entire continent.

But the grin on the dragon’s face turned grim when he felt blood trickling down his arm.

Himmel moved his body.

The moment their fists separated, he twisted his body and drove another punch directly into Morningstar’s stomach.

BOOOOOM!!!

The giant moved only a metre, but it was still an impossible feat.

The ground beneath Morningstar exploded apart as the force travelled through his body and buried itself into the world below.

Thousands of kilometres away, dormant volcanoes erupted and mountains split open.

Morningstar stared down at the blood on his hand.

Then he began laughing. It started softly but quickly grew louder.

Soon it sounded like thunder rolling across Lumina.

"GOOD!"

His eyes burned with excitement.

"GOOD!!"

BOOOOOM!!!

His forehead slammed directly into Himmel’s face.

The impact fractured several of Himmel’s skull bones and launched him backward.

Before he could recover, Morningstar grabbed his ankle.

"AGAIN!"

The First Dragon swung him through the sky and slammed him into the ground like a crocodile rolling its prey in a death grip.

BOOOOOM!!!

BOOOOOM!!!

BOOOOOM!!!

As Morningstar prepared to smash him into the ground again, Himmel extended his hand.

"Collapse."

The energy beneath the dragon’s feet lost all stability.

"Pillar of Light!!"

A bolt of golden lightning appeared and instantly exploded.

Morningstar vanished inside the blast.

Himmel immediately ripped himself free from the dragon’s grasp and shot backward.

His body ached with pain, but he wasn’t in a position to rest.

A massive figure stepped out from the collapsing lightning without a single bruise.

Morningstar rolled his shoulders with a smile on his face.

"You’re stronger than I expected." His voice contained genuine approval. "But not strong enough."

His purple eyes remained locked onto Himmel like a predator staring at wounded prey.

’If I use my kingdom, then there is a chance he will break my entire Kingdom apart.’

If Himmel lost his Kingdom, then there was a chance he would lose his Eternal Rank as well.

Just as he was thinking of a plan, Morningstar vanished.

Without hesitation, he crossed both arms in front of himself.

"WHY ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?!"

Morningstar roared as he kept slamming into Himmel.

"YOU DENIED THE DESTINY THAT FATHER GAVE YOU!!"

BOOOOOOM!!!

Morningstar’s fist crashed into Himmel’s guard and shattered the mountain behind him.

Before the shockwave could even spread, another punch followed from a different angle.

BOOOOOOM!!!

Himmel’s body spun through the air.

His arms had long since gone numb.

The only reason they hadn’t broken completely was because of his blessings, and his body regenerated faster than Morningstar could destroy it.

"YOU DENIED ME MY DESTINY---!!"

Himmel immediately absorbed the kinetic energy from the kick and punches from Morningstar and landed a right hook on his face.

His own collective strength blasted the First Dragon through three mountains.

Himmel wasn’t spared from the shockwave either.

His entire right arm had become a mangled mess of torn flesh and shattered bones.

Even with regeneration, it would still take some time before he could use it again.

Far away, the mountain range continued collapsing, and then a laugh echoed.

A laugh filled with excitement rather than anger.

Morningstar stepped out from the destruction.

"YOUR DEATH WILL GIVE ME MORE PLEASURE THAN THE EXTINCTION OF A PLANET!!!"

The monster vanished once again, leaving behind a shockwave that destroyed the forest below.

Himmel only noticed the beast when he felt a ripple forming beside his right cheek.

He quickly pulled up the Sun Disk to cover his face.

BOOMMMM!!

The Sun Disk absorbed the energy, turned it around, and threw back a beam of light.

Morningstar easily avoided it this time.

Using his uncanny flexibility, he kicked Himmel in the ribs.

Before long, Himmel was bombarded with hundreds of different strikes.

Himmel desperately tried to counterattack, but Morningstar’s speed continued increasing.

"WHERE IS THE AZRAEL I HATED?!"

BOOOOOOM!!!

A kick sent Himmel spinning across the forest.

"WHERE IS THE MONSTER WHO STOLE EVERYTHING FROM ME?!"

BOOOOOOM!!!

Another punch collapsed his chest like a million bulls attacking at once.

"WHERE IS THE BROTHER I WAITED THOUSANDS OF YEARS TO KILL?!"

Morningstar grabbed Himmel by the throat.

The dragon’s eyes were no longer merely angry.

They contained desperation and madness.

As if his hatred had become the only thing keeping him alive.

"WHY ARE YOU SO WEAK!?"

Morningstar wasn’t disappointed because Himmel survived.

He was disappointed because Himmel wasn’t the Azrael he remembered.

The dragon had spent thousands of years preparing himself for revenge.

Yet the person standing before him now was someone else entirely.

Himmel got a hold of himself.

His left eye had turned crimson from the amount of blood flooding into it.

His lips moved as he whispered.

"Fucking pathetic."

Using Naqsal, Himmel disrupted the force behind the dragon’s grip for a brief moment.

His body slipped free and dropped onto the ruined earth below.

Himmel wiped the blood from his mouth.

His broken body continued regenerating.

Morningstar looked down at him.

"What did you say, worm?"

Himmel straightened his back and stared back at him.

"I said, you are pathetic."

BOOOOOMMM!!

Morningstar moved in an instant.

Raising his hand, he exerted pressure that bent space itself.

Without a doubt, he was going for the killing blow.

Himmel once again used Naqsal, slowing down the beast.

Then he created a miniature sun and threw it at him.

The miniature sun exploded between them.

A sphere of golden fire expanded violently across the battlefield, devouring mountains, forests, rivers, and clouds in a single overwhelming burst of destruction.

Himmel had done this to buy himself some time to heal.

Simultaneously, he was thinking of a way to kill the monster with whatever strength he had left.

But the First Dragon didn’t let him have that time.

Morningstar stepped through the sea of flames while molten sunlight rolled off his body like rainwater.

His expression had now gone completely blank, without a shred of excitement or madness.

"Fragile Future."

A voice echoed throughout the destruction of the battlefield.

Morningstar froze in place while a barefoot woman bearing the combined features of Nymeria and Christina appeared above them.

In an instant, the body of the First Dragon began to change.

His once muscular body became fragile.

It was as though his age had skipped millions of years in an instant.

Millions upon millions of years compressed upon him.

Yet before Himmel could take advantage of it, Morningstar returned to normal.

Turning his head, he looked up at the new arrival.

"You are finally here to save your beloved." He said in a mocking tone. "Anastasia."

The woman didn’t reply.

She simply raised her hand and the earth trembled violently.

"Heed my command." Her voice echoed.

Thousands upon thousands of ropes illuminated with runes began to fall from the sky.

Morningstar laughed at her attack. "Still using the same tricks?"

The first rope touched his shoulder, and he let it.

The moment it touched him, countless runes ignited across his body.

BOOOOOOM!!!

His body froze in place as though it hadn’t moved in many years.

More and more ropes and chains began covering his body.

Within seconds, the First Dragon was buried beneath an endless ocean of divine restraints.

The mountains beneath him collapsed under the pressure.

While Himmel was staring at the unbelievable scene, a force suddenly yanked his body.

Before he could understand what was happening, he arrived at a different location far away from Morningstar.

"I swear, I will die because of you." Aimar grumbled softly.

Himmel felt his body being squeezed as his sense of reasoning slowly returned.

He looked down and found Shyamal hugging him tightly.

So tightly that he could barely breathe.

The silver-haired girl buried her face into his chest.

Himmel quickly realised that she was terrified.

"A-are you alright?" She asked, looking up at him.

Himmel finally got a hold of himself, and a feeling of dread immediately took over.

"W-what are you guys doing here!!" He yelled without restraint. "GO AWAY!!! FUCKING HIDE!!"

The sheer panic in his voice stunned both of them.

Because this was the first time they had seen Himmel genuinely afraid.

"Himmel—"

"GO!"

Blood spilled from his mouth as he forced himself upright.

His trembling gaze remained fixed on the distant battlefield.

On the endless ocean of chains and the monster buried beneath them.

"You don’t understand!" He yelled again. "He won’t leave you if he gets to—."

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A crack appeared within the sea of divine restraints.

The tiny crack soon turned into hundreds of them.

Anastasia remained floating in the sky with her hand raised, but she could barely contain him.

Himmel turned to look at them once again.

"I SAID RUN!!!"

BOOOOMMM!!

Another thunderous roar echoed throughout the entire world.

Himmel turned towards the battlefield.

The sea of restraints was completely gone.

His face turned pale when a voice echoed from behind him.

"Are you looking for me?"

Following that, the blood-curdling sound of bones breaking apart echoed.

Himmel slowly turned his head and immediately went blank when he saw Aimar flying through the air like a broken kite.

His gaze slowly shifted towards the rapid difficult..sound of breathing.

Morningstar stood behind Shyamal with his hand through her chest.

In his hand was a beating heart....Shyamal’s heart.

The monster jerked his hand free and threw the girl away like trash.

"Was she your new lover?" He said with a wide grin. "Was she?"

Without waiting for any reply, the monster began eating the human heart in his hand.
