The apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree.

The culture of Celestia truly is vast and profound.

’For some reason, she found this side of Ashley kind of cute.’

Annabelle Linton resignedly helped her to the bed, then turned to quickly tidy up the cans on the floor.

However, she fumbled and nearly sent them spilling, but managed to catch them just in time.

As she did, however, her hand brushed against the keyboard, accidentally opening a folder.

It was Leona Grant’s folder.

These files were supposed to be encrypted and impossible to open, but Ashley Grant had apparently hacked them.

As a result, a wall of densely packed text instantly filled the screen.

Annabelle was too busy scrambling to clean up to notice at first. But when she glanced up, she saw that Leona Grant’s file was open on the screen.

Her lips twitched. ’I’m not the kind of person who pries into others’ privacy,’ she thought. She was just about to close the window when her eyes caught several words in the text: "Annabelle Linton," "Vivian Yates."

’What the hell?’

A strange and powerful feeling suddenly washed over Annabelle.

An unseen force seemed to compel her to stay, urging her not to look away.

Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced Annabelle’s chest, the sensation shockingly real. It wasn’t a hallucination or some trick of the mind. It was simply an intense, inexplicable feeling.

Annabelle frowned, clutching her chest in discomfort as she sat down. She casually scanned the contents on the screen, and her eyes suddenly flew wide—

She shot upright, grabbed the mouse, and scrolled to the very top to start reading. Her composure shattered. She was seeing something unbelievable!

The document was titled "Dream." It was dated from not long ago—right around the time she and Aaron Wyatt were about to be married.

Annabelle’s heart pounded wildly, threatening to leap out of her throat.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart.

’Breathe... relax. Just try to stay calm.’

This is what it said.

Annabelle Linton and Aaron Wyatt were set to marry in a few days. I got into a car accident on the day of their engagement party and fell into a coma for twenty days. During that time, I had a dream.

It was a strange yet incredibly vivid dream. It made no sense, but it was exceptionally clear. Even now, I can recall it in perfect detail.

In the dream, it felt as though my soul had left my body and traveled back in time. I witnessed many things from the perspective of an observer. Even though it was just a dream, I have to write it down. I need to analyze it.

This is how the dream went.

I felt like I was dead. I wandered aimlessly for a long time before suddenly finding myself on a city street at night. Snowflakes were drifting down. It was Christmastime, and it was beautiful. The atmosphere was wonderful, with people crowding every street and alley. I was wearing a hospital gown, but no one could see me...

As I walked, a girl came running toward me, clutching a gift box. It was a sixteen-year-old Annabelle Linton!

I was startled. At first, I thought she must be a relative of Annabelle’s. I wanted to ask her how the wedding plans with Aaron Wyatt were coming along, but just then, a boy on a bicycle suddenly crashed into her.

That boy had been hired by Vivian Yates to intentionally knock Annabelle down. The goal was to stop Annabelle from reaching the Christmas party on time so she couldn’t personally hand the gift to me.

Oh, right. The gift was a Phantom. Annabelle had saved her allowance for three years—and even sold her blood—to buy it for me. It was only later that I heard from my sister that Annabelle was the one who bought it, and that Vivian Yates had passed it off as her own... I feel like I’ve done Annabelle a great wrong.
