Chapter 501: Forget the Past, Can We Be Good Together? 2
Leona Grant froze for a moment, then the corners of his mouth lifted into a smile.
Her arms were wrapped around his neck and her long legs were looped around his waist. With her head resting on his shoulder, her shallow breaths ghosted across his ear.
"Don’t go..." she murmured, her brows furrowed and her words slurred. Her expression was distressed.
He froze.
Then, an indescribable ecstasy flooded his heart, and Leona Grant couldn’t stop the corners of his mouth from curling upward.
He, too, was getting excited. "Annabelle Linton, what did you say?"
"Say it again."
He pecked her on the lips, his voice thick with affection as he said domineeringly, "I heard everything. It’s no use being shy. You’d better say it again, or I’ll kiss you senseless!"
"..."
But she was fast asleep, out like a light as if she were drunk. Annabelle Linton was in a profound slumber.
Leona Grant pecked her lips again, threatening playfully, "You told me not to go, didn’t you? I heard you. Still won’t admit it? You contrary woman!"
"..."
He kissed her again, his tone slightly wounded. "How could you do this? So what if he left? You still have me. You’ve been upset for so many days... Do you have any idea how much I’ve missed you?"
He glanced down at her again, a helpless smile playing on his lips.
This little minx was holding him so tightly. Her legs wrapped around him, in particular, were a major turn-on.
She was so docile, clingy, and adorable in her sleep. Leona Grant was absolutely loving this side of her.
Though he was ecstatic, he said deliberately, "Let go. I’ll run a bath for you."
"No..." Annabelle Linton shifted her arms and shook her head, her lips lightly brushing against the side of his face.
In that instant, Leona Grant felt a jolt of electricity shoot through him, leaving a pleasant, tingling sensation in its wake.
The next second, he burst out laughing. "Annabelle Linton, you’re seducing me!"
Annabelle Linton: "..."
"You’re such a contrary, proud woman, always suffering in silence to save face. Was what you said to him that day true?"
"..."
"Just admit it. You’re in love with me. I’d like to see how long you can keep up this act! It makes sense, really. How could you ever let go of more than twenty years of history!"
With that, he crushed his lips against hers again. "You tormenting little siren!"
Just then...
"I’m sorry..." Annabelle Linton said softly.
’I’m sorry?’
Leona Grant froze for a moment.
Then, he started to laugh again.
’So you finally realize you were wrong, huh?’
’Tossing your husband aside to grieve over another man, and even trying to abandon me not long ago... You really have committed an unpardonable sin!’
’Hmph. I’ll give you one chance to make it up to me!’
Leona Grant dropped his bath towel, a wicked grin on his face. "Since you’re so sorry, why don’t you show me with your actions!"
"I’m sorry..."
He was getting a little impatient. "Yeah, I know. You only need to say it once."
"I’m sorry... Aaron Wyatt..."
Everything came to a screeching halt. Leona Grant felt like a fucking idiot!
’Aaron Wyatt?!’
’She called me Aaron Wyatt?!’
Leona Grant shot up off of her, gripped her arm fiercely, and roared, "Annabelle Linton, you got a fucking death wish? Do you fucking think I don’t have the nerve to do something to you?"
’Holding me?’
’Telling me not to go?’
’Kissing me, telling me she’s sorry?’
’It was all fucking bullshit!’
