Annabelle Linton pounded on his chest. She really couldn’t breathe!

Seeing her gasping for air, Leona Grant reluctantly let her go. He remarked thoughtfully, "Looks like we’ll need to practice more in the future!"

Annabelle was too breathless to even curse at him, panting heavily as if she’d just run a marathon.

"Exhausted?"

Leona Grant gazed at her flushed face and was suddenly hit by how unbelievably cute she was.

He couldn’t resist kissing her again!

Annabelle was practically traumatized by his kisses now. She immediately turned her head, refusing his lips.

Leona’s kiss landed on her cheek instead.

"Not going to listen?" he whispered, leaning in mischievously.

Annabelle frowned and pushed against him. "Let me down, now!"

"Not a chance. It’s perfectly natural for me to kiss my own wife. Or would you rather I let someone else kiss and hold you?" he said, his tone making it sound like the most obvious thing in the world.

"..." ’We’re not even on the same wavelength.’ Annabelle’s frown deepened. "Leona Grant, what are you doing? Don’t you think this is all moving too fast?!"

Yes, she had kissed him first, but that was purely because she was angry he didn’t believe her—and because he’d been so cute.

"Too fast?"

Leona raised a brow, unfazed. A wicked smile spread across his lips as he closed in, pinning her against the door with nowhere to run. "We’ve been married for two and a half years. You call this fast? People who are actually fast have a second kid by now, one for each year. You tell me, are we fast?"

Annabelle said with absolute certainty, "No! No matter what you say, not tonight!"

"Not tonight what?"

"Not..." Annabelle bit her lip, glaring at him with a mix of shame and indignation, unable to finish her sentence.

’This man is doing this on purpose!’

He absolutely loved that indignant, flustered look in her eyes as she struggled for words. It made his entire heart melt.

"If not tonight, then tomorrow night. It’s going to happen tomorrow anyway, so why don’t we just warm up tonight?"

Ignoring her reaction, Leona threw her straight onto the bed and forcefully pinned her down.

Leona grinned roguishly. "You’re the one who said you’d give me a chance. So, how about we roll in the sheets and rock and roll!"

Annabelle ground out through her teeth, "Forget the rocking, just roll away!"

"Alright. Let’s roll together."

"You bastard... Let me go! Let... ah!"

’I really shot myself in the foot this time!’

’If I ever make the first move again, may lightning strike me dead!’

As Leona got to work, the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curve upward.
