Chapter 1149: Ch 1149: Visiting the Adventurer Guild
On the way to the city, this group of young boys and girls came across several monsters but fortunately, none of them were too strong. So the young heroes were able to take care of them by their own self.
But still, so many monster appearing so close to a village and a city was a clear proof that the current situation was very troublesome. The number of monsters had really went insanely high.
But with their young and inexperienced mind, Shin and his friends were not unhappy with this. And instead, as this was a good opportunity for them to earn a lot of money in the form of monster materials, they were actually somewhat happy.
Monsters were a source of tragedy for most inhabitants of this world but under Elena’s protection, these children had never experienced that harsh reality. And the deadly situation regarding the river king monster was also something that the boys and girls had already forgotten.
But Elena was not worried about this matter. Now that they were out, she was not going to cuddle them anymore. So all of them would definitely get to see and experience many things that would change their current somewhat naive perspective.
...
Other then Shin and Tatsumi, three more of their friends were with them. Two of them were boys and one was a girl.
Among the two boys, Kashimo was a large for his age and he used a sheild and a large axe as his weapon. He was two year older than Shin but his intelligence was a bit lacking.
But on the other hand, his battle sense was sharp and he was also a kind person. So he was perfect for the role of a tank who was also capable of dealing massive damage with brute force attacks.
The other boy was short, thin and nervous looking. But actually, he was extremely intelligent. He was a few months younger than Shin but had already read more books than him.
He also had a special power system because of his somewhat special bloodline. He was capable of controlling and even creating insects. And with a special talent of his, this boy named Nakamura was able to uniquely merge with the insects.
Currently his combat power was nothing too impressive. But his potential was amazing. Elena was very sure that in the near future, he was going to become a true powerhouse.
And finally, the girl was named Shuzu. She was an energetic girl but other than that, she was not very different from any other village girls. But maybe because of Shin’s destiny or her own fate, she managed to awakened a very powerful talent.
This talent of hers was regarding swords. And she had one of if not the best sword user in the whole omniverse to help her out and teach her about swords.
So because of these coincidences, Shuzu ended up becoming incredibly powerful. So much so that at the current moment, she was actually stronger than even Shin. Among all the people here, she could easily declare herself to be the best student that Elena had in this world.
Shuzu was not just talented but also diligent and humble. But there was a big change that had happened with her personality after this awakening of her talent.
After gaining the talent of a great sword saint, Shuzu had became a complete muscle head. She now loved combat so much that her old friends were having trouble recognising her.
But this change was something that Elena did not see as a bad thing. As long as she was not trying to kill everyone and was not becoming bloodthirsty, being muscle headed was fine in Elena’s book.
...
As this group of boys and girls entered the city, they were feeling very excited. The last time when they had visited a city was four years ago when the danger of the monster was still manageable. So after such a long time had passed, the city was basically new for the children here.
First, where they needed to go was the adventurer guild. After registering there, Tatsumi could visit the mage association next.
With this plan in mind, all the young boys and girls entered the guild. Elena did not go with them and instead stayed outside the guild while tasting some street food. She obviously still kept an eye on the children from there.
...
As they entered the guild, judgemental eyes were immediately directed at them. There were quite a few people present in the guild who looked at the newcomers and started to measure their worth.
Shin did his best to stay calm. With their big sister not with them, Shin decided that he needed to step up as a leader and help everyone out. Even though he himself was slightly nervous too, Shin did not let that affect him too much.
So with many eyes locked onto him, Shin went to the reception counter where a beautiful big sister was sitting and smiling at them.
Seeing her gentle smile, Shin managed to completely calm down. Then he told her that he and his friends were coming to the adventurer guild for the first time and wanted to register themselves as adventurers.
Hearing this, the receptionist lady was about to give all of them a simple lecture about adventuring, but before she could start that, she was interrupted by a rough looking man.
This man was drinking with his friends just some time ago and suddenly, he had came near the children and from his red face and angry expression, it was clear that he was not in a very good mood.
After getting before the children, he gave them a dismissive snort and said -
"Hmph, children like you should not waste the time of us adults like this. Instead of becoming adventurers, first work as luggage carriers for us veterans for a decade or so. Understood ?"
He was being quite agressive and was trying to stop this group from becoming adventurers and was instead trying to force to them to carry his luggage for him. Even if he had good intentions behind what he was saying, no one would take it positively with the kind of language he was using and the behaviour that he was showing.
So what replied him was not the response he was looking for. Instead it was a young girl with a crazy smile and a wooden sword that she had taken out from out of nowhere.
So what was going to happen next ?
